Im from Asia and i really wanted to visit Claudia Sanders Dinner House after hearing Colonel Sanders story and try the real KFC chicken cuz KFC is one of my favorite tho i only tasted the todays/new era of KFC since im 18 but looking at those chicked those looks more tasty fr
Been a long time since I've been there, but I remember the beauty of the place; very impressive! Those chicken and dumplings looked delish, I love 'em, and that fried chicken is more my style too, thin breading. Bread pudding and cobblers are both my faves! Have to get the family together for a trip to Claudia Sanders! Good video, Barry, very interesting, thanks
I used to try to get 1 spoonful of each side on my plate at the buffet, but just couldn't when it was 19 sides before meats. Think it's a fewer sides now, but I still can't fit 1 spoonful on a plate. 😂 So now I do the family style like you had. They also have great hamburgers and steaks on menu (not available Sundays). Steaks tasted char-broiled. Delicious. Their yeast rolls are heavenly soft/good. Good to see the review! Thanks!
The gravy also changed while i worked there mid 90's.. the prior version was darker, and we would add seasoned oil from the fryer as part of the recipe
Maybe they changed it due to some health issues or simply removed the oil as deep frying raw chicken and adding the oil would probably give someone salmonella
Bout won’t ain’t no damn salmonella surviving the deep fryer🤣🤣 I use animal fat to fry, but adding fat is what give your gravy that savory richness! Animal fats are best of course
@Friendly_G that oil continually gets heated well passed what it takes to kill salomella, so that makes no sense. They changed the recipe simply because it was to difficult to make
