Benidorm has a reputation of lager swilling Brits and loud music. It couldn't be further from the truth. Check out our walk along this sea front and let's see what it has to offer.

Great to see people enjoying Benidorm and finding that there is so much more to it than the usual stereotypes. My partner is from Benidorm and we visit regularly to see her family. It is a fantastic place. Great videos ❤😀
Amazing to see the cleanliness and the lovely tiled colourful pavements, I love to see that people on the continent take pride in their surroundings, not like here in the UK.
I notice sometimes some sad people give you a thumbs down and for the life of me I can't see why? I think you're both great and brighten up my day so stuff what they think and crack on with what you do best and entertain us all 🎉❤❤
Honestly I cannot understand why some people give videos the THUMBS DOWN. If I don’t like a video then I will just not watch it & I don’t think I have ever given a video the THUMBS DOWN 👍🏴
The 'vantage point' is called the balcon, the side you walked along is the 'Poniente' beach - where the more mature people stay. The other side is the 'Levante' side, which is the lively side. The 'Old town' is behind the 'balcon' & spreads out in a fan shape between the two halves of Benidorm.
I thought the Balcon was a restaurant as was shown on Benidorm, but I didn't see any tables or chairs set out on Martin's video.
@@George-hs2zm No, it was only made a restaurant for the filming. In real life it has never been a restaurant (unfortunately!).
Thanks for sharing this trip Martin & Sharon...........you are lovely people. Benidorm has been a place I've avoided based on the reputation it has for 'British misbehavior and the lager lout problems'. What you've shown is that it's a much more civilised and worthy place to visit. I'm now tempted to give the place a try and seek out some of the places you've shown. Great review.😎👍

I've been there about 20 times over the years, Benidorm has everything you want, night life or slow life ! Never had any problems.

What a lovely time you’re both having.
When you walk along the other end of the beach -Levante side (new town) take a look at the original old bungalow on the seafront, if it’s still there, all the hotels have been built around it. That little bit of land it’s on is probably worth a fortune. 😎
Its no longer there - its now a hotel - H10 porto poinenta. Its a lovely hotel, we stayed there last week.
The hotel was called the hotel Los pelicanos in the Newtown ,we stay in the oldtown last Christmas at the hotel avendina it was beautiful ,all the Christmas decorations have a lovley time
Always enjoy the Esplanades end up walking miles! I think if you'd gone right to the end there's quite a nice marina there -that one place you passed covered in flowers would have tempted me in, looked amazing! You could always take a trip to see the waterfalls or caves (if it gets too hot) - the villages & hills around Benidorm & Alicante are worth exploring - didn't realise Valencia was that close, - somewhere inland along there I'm sure there's a big cliff face that looks like a skull - very spooky. Keep safe & having FUN! Cheers.

Most people who slag off Benidorm have never even been. There is something for every age group, I'm 63 and have been many times with friends, family and even on my own.
Loved it every time and never seen any trouble while I've been there.

Been to Benidorm lots of times and done the same walk as you did in the video, we always stayed at the Gran Bali Hotel, the tall black one in the background at 22:30 in the video, it was the tallest hotel in Europe at the time but probably not now, people used to base jump off the top with parachutes, glad to see your enjoying your holiday and thanks for taking us with you lol.
We also stay at the Grand Bali , great hotel we are back there in 4wks time ❤

Much appreciated for showing this, I’ve never been down as far as that area before. You was on the Poniente Beach, the other main beach is called Levante. The Old Town is the area of narrow streets between the two beaches ( where you was at the start). Nice video…
Something I've discovered living in Spain and liking a nice strong tea with no sugar is to use the skimmed (desnatata) as it is lighter and doesn't sweeten the tea. It makes it much more like a good builders tea. 😉

Despite what anyone might say. Benidorm is the jewel in the crown of places to go for a holiday in Spain. Nowhere is perfect for everyone, but this place ticks all my boxes and Im quite a reserved and intelligent person. It's an amazing place even when you take the kids along. Love it

You were walking along poniente beach the Mirador is the view point and the other side is Levante beach, if you walk into the old town look out for tapas alley
Also worth getting the bus to Altea old town

Lol I used to live in one of those apartments overlooking the ‘Julio Iglesias’ amphitheatre. We’ll that’s what it was called back then.
I loved Benidorm, worked there in the mid 90s and it was a fun place to live.
Hope to visit again one day.

Sol pelicans is where they film Benidorm. Have stayed there on girls weekends away a few times. We noticed the staff keep eye on people coming in to hotel as they were reluctant to allow fans in. Morgan tavern over the road is a must..its legendary!m
Loving it Martin and Sharon my next door neighbour she used to live in benidorm her brother has got a villa there and she has made Spanish omelette and they are very tasty 👍👍👍👍

Hi Again guys , yes you were in the old town and the beach that side is the Pontiente beach , new town beach where all the bars are very close is the Levante beach .
Also the best places to eat in Benidorm are where all the locals eat , always a good trick !
It is called Poinente Beach it is a very different vibe I loved it we stayed at the Gran Delfin on the front up there used to go to Levante and when we had had enough of crowds go back to the peace and quiet. I love Benidorm.

Great video, I've just returned from benidorm, went with misses and our 11 year old boy, the place is just fab, you can easily avoid the nut job areas, the beach is incredible, safe. Bit of everything for everyone in the Dorm. 😊

Me and my missus do a lot of walking in Turkiye Calis Beach , 10,000 steps a day at least , then a few more on a Evening, Looks like a nice place , may visit next year.

More cafe, restaurants, chilled than levante.
The restaurant looks nice,doesn't seem to be any checking, if one is a resident of the hotel. Might chance my arm next time I'm in Benidorm 😂.

We went for 10 yrs Anvers loved it did Neptune bar mateos bar and the pool derren wasnt there to topp a good holiday off we got a ours on madges scooter
Great videos! If you are standing in the sea, Poniente beach is on the left and Levante beach is on the right. Yesterday when you were next to the Ale-Hop shop, that's the Old Town. Go the opposite way along Levante beach and that takes you to the New Town where the Sol Pelicanos hotel is. Lots of Brits in this area along with KFC, McDonald's etc. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. My family had a great holiday in Benidorm a few years ago, we stayed at the same hotel as yourselves. We couldn't fault anything. We loved the old town, especially at night. The locals were so friendly and welcoming.
