Every episode people are always drinking milk right before bed. 😂
It really does help you sleep when it's warm 😄
Brilliant!!! I was completely taken in! Nobody can write 'em like Hitchcock! 😃
Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens. Hitchcock is a director not a writer.
@@melodymeyers-spears4181 I know that Hitch wasn't an author, but I thought he wrote the stories and scrips to his films?! I don't know for sure so I apologise and stand corrected if he didn't.
I thought the same thing!
Yeah! Sure fooled me!
I with you on that Hitchcock train, fascinated by his work at age five(1966), still amazing work all these years later!!!🙏👏😎
The sheer brilliance of Hitchcock always leaves me speechless.
“Miss Greco merely had something in her eye.” 🤣
Yes Melanie, that part was laughable.
Yes, I believe that a Q-tip might work better for that than a hoover vacuum cleaner.
And the dog ate my homework.
And the check is in the mail.😆
@@deborahangel8761 Lol 😂
Gaslighting. If I'd been the wife I'd have said it's a good thing she didn't have a booger in her nose or I'd have wondered what he was doing, digging around in there!
The wife has never met her mother in law??? Hhhhmm 🤨
Good point 👉, I never thought of that!
Meh. If he's a con artist, his mother was probably in the slammer and lied to her about her being dead or something.
She’s a killer too
Since there seems to be confusion about this:
In the full episode, his wife and him have a conversation about how he's always had women taking care of him, including his mother, and he retorts that his wife has never even met his mother.
And yes it is possible to marry someone without meeting both of their parents.
thanks for explaining this
Where did you find the full episode?
Why does the wife always have to be the one to get eliminated as soon as another woman steps into the picture? Smh😥
Tamara Gilbert , “Guilty Witness.”
unfortunately it looks like she married for passion while he married for money🤑But what happen to meeting the family. I guess he said they were no longer living
Well who do you think should be eliminated if not the wife?...
James Vickers
I was thinking the same thing.
If not the wife, who ?
James Vickers really so the husband can cheat with no consequences 😂forget the vowels 👅🤣wowzers
Didn't expect that ending, very clever.
No, Ward was the father on "Leave it to Beaver".
@@haroldreyes7549
Very good, I was wondering when someone was going to catch on to that.
Very "cleaver"?
@@brendaleverick3655 Yes, their last name was Cleaver, a little play on words. Are you a Leave it to Beaver fan?
@@Anti-leftist7777 I was, in the past. 💁🏼
I can often guess what's coming, but that one threw me for a loop!
Wow, what a twist. I want to see the entire episode.
I see enlisted the only woman he really loves🤣🤣🤣.
Actor has a serious Tom Hanks feel to him
I thought it was the professor from Gilligan lol
@@dreamstar624 lol
IMPOSSIBLE. That actor was not even BORN YET!
I think it’s a great actor named Joseph Cotton at a young age.
@@inarainyplace No. Joseph Cotton at an age older than this actor had starred in the 1953 film Niagara with Marilyn Monroe.
That was a really great Twist! Thank you!
Oh what a tangled web we weave # when first we practice to deceive 😢😮
Another nice twist!
Sadly in real life it never happens
I love the twists.
These edited versions aren't bad, especially if you haven't seen the full episodes. Basic plot lines seem intact and what's omitted isn't really missed 🤔
There's a pretty big plot piece omitted. His wife had never met his mother.
The full episodes need to be seen to understand these brilliant series... I have seen most of the full series...
Outstanding in typical Hitchcock style !!
THAT WAS A SURPRISE ENDING!!!! I LIKED IT!!!
In that case I will keep watching, that woman annoys the hell out of me!
Heidi Merchant what to you see it I thought it was great never would have thought.😊
@@rutalaa yep, didn't see that one coming,!😂
Heidi Merchant I know huh!!!!????😳😊
😁😁😁😁
I just love these!! I never see the twisted end coming! Bravo, bravo!
Is his wife Geraldine Fitzgerald? I loved her, such a good actor! She was n Wutherng Heights with Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon. She always played such sweet and kind characters in her movies!
Good call. Fabulous actress.
@Melanie Brandt
And Bette Davis' character's best friend in Dark Victory!
Love her!
The actress is Antoinette Bower.
@@AeginaO The actress playing the nurse, that is.
Yep it's Geraldine Fitzgerald and she's one of the greats!!
That was Geraldine Fitzgerald as Elizabeth!
Divorce a la Hitchcock!
So... she married him and never saw his mother?
Or maybe She KNEW it was his mother That's why she was laughing SO Hard...
@@tld8630 Ahh... very interesting. A double-double cross.
In the full episode, his wife and him have a conversation about how he's always had women taking care of him, including his mother, and he retorts that his wife has never even met his mother.
Gotta love this mystical magic medicine that can't be detected and a small overdose is fatal.
It builds up in the system, kills her slowly
Must be a psychiatrist drugs!
It's iocane powder. It has no odor, no taste, and will dissolve instantly when poured into liquid. Fortunately, I've I spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocane powder.
@@aadams1006 I have heard of that. Very ingenious.
@@aadams1006 but was it in the flagon with the dragon, or the vessel with the pestle ?
Nice twist
I have to admit I was a little bit ‘scared’ when he re-entered the kitchen - knowing very well the plot twist would be revealed there. I really thought he would be smooching with the old servant, just like what he did with Mademoiselle Greco. But, Hitch had even a better idea. -19 JAN 2020
Really, oh really....your kidding...oh my gosh!!!
Yeah for a second I thought he was gonna play that old woman to get his wife knocked off 😂
@@LB-pg3no You are equals you're.
Hitchcock must have had a thing about affairs. He has a lot of stories about infidelity.
wasn't he good at that(having affairs) or I'm thinking of somebody else
@ Mary Jackson /@@elenagasper571 He was ‘somewhat’ of a voyeur, I heard. Living out his dreams, maybe!! 😆😆 😋
Yikes...wife #2 better stay on the straight and narrow !!!! 😁
Now there's a momay's boy !
Good EEEEEEEvening! Good one Hitch!!
Good EEEEEEvening to you too! 😂
Alfred Hitchcock was brilliant! 👏🏼
Wow! Got me!
A lot of poisoning attempts in a Hitchcock Movie !!
Loved this one!
Antoinette Bower was great in the Star Trek episode Catspaw!
Bravo!!
My gosh the woman bears a striking resemblance to Terri Hatcher and the man an older Tom Hanks even kind of talks like him!!! What does Hollywood do breed these ppl?? I've seen ALOT of look a likes!!!
Haha.. My husband says that Too Lol...😉😉
I loved your comment debra!😀😆😆😆😄😮
RUclips CUTS UP FILMS,THEN WANTS TO SELL THEM OR RENT THEM WHAT GREEDY CREEPERS THEY ARE
Brilliant! ☮️
So they're married and she never met his mother?
Yeah, that's really weird.
Yes, it's just for a twist effect in the story. Besides, his mother immediately agrees to kill his wife without questioning??
since he's a "mama's boy"; yeah she probably would help. She never met the wife, no emotional attachment.
soooo
mm devolange maybe, but sometimes there's a reason why she never met the mother or father of the husband;
Luv the ending...lol
Showing only last half of episode is to give you a taste and want to see the necessary full episode !
hitchcock has a way of fooling me. unexpecting ending once again.
Oh wait, is the wife, Elizabeth, played by that actress who was in the Mother's Day episode in Golden Girls? The one where she plays the stranger Rose is stuck with in a train station?
Yes
Wow!! Wasn't expecting that for
ending !
THIS WAS A GOOD ONE
I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING
Brilliant!
Very clever!
That was cold
I thought it was cool.
Always a mama’s boy.
Great story teller.
AWWWWWW......
GOOD ONE!!!!

I didn't even expect that ending🤣🤣🤣🤣
Omg brilliant 😂😂😂😂😂
GREAT TWIST!!!!!
It appears Arthur Hill should have pocketed that 92k and got on the Greyhound for home
Yep...some kinda Genius!
i don't understand: is it possible that the wife had never met her mother-in-law and didn't know who she was ???
In the full episode, his wife and him have a conversation about how he's always had women taking care of him, including his mother, and he retorts that his wife has never even met his mother.
Yeah, Antoinette Bower Is Always Hot! The Fugitive, Hogan's Heroes, Hawaii Five-O & So Much More! Never Saw This Before, Though.
Cool shows
Who was the actress playing the maid? Looked Teri Hatchett's doppelganger!
That's Antoinette Bower.
HITCH!!!
What I don't understand is this. Didn't his wife ever meet his mother. At the wedding, in pictures, etc.?
Lol...this was a good one.
Can't get enough Alfred Hitchcock hour❤😀🔍🔨🔪🔫
What?? But!!! ... Oh, I get it!! :-D
This short film was captivating. The unfaithful husband found a woman and her mother with the same diabolical character as his. The wealthy older woman did not have to settle for his unfaithfulness. I doubt if love has anything to do with why she won't divorce him. I think the wife enjoys her younger husband's unhealthy financial dependence on her.
These aren't short films, they are edited episodes of "Hitchock Presents"
Yes, she is enjoying to torture him, if we have a close up at it.
A winner of a husband 🤩😂
I understand!!!
Whoa....didn't see that coming. Almost like out of an EC comic from the 50's.....
What an ending
This is odd. As I was watching this. When the woman tells the guy that the maid has to be let go. I had forgot about the scene where the husband and the maid had mentioned divorce. So when the maid leaves, I was like would it not be a weird twist if we were all thinking it was husband and wife, but in actuality it was a son who had a very close relationship with his mother, and she was in control of his life, hence "mama's boy". THEN I remembered the guy and maid mentioning, divorce, so I was like ok, scrap my supposed scenario. THEN THE ENDING turns out to be son and his mother. Was not expecting that. I thought the guy would seduce any woman to get the woman to off his wife. So I wonder if the guys mother was in on offing the wife, or she had no clue what the son was up to?
He tells his mom ¨It shouldn't take long to finish he off now...¨Clearly she knows.
How did his wife not recognize her own mother-in-law????
In the full episode, his wife and him have a conversation about how he's always had women taking care of him, including his mother, and he retorts that his wife has never even met his mother.
The wife never met the mother-in-law ?
There were 3 interviewees. How did the wife manage to chose the right one ?
The others were much more appealing
Anything can happen in Hollywood.
Obviously the wife unwittingly selected the oldest motherly looking one (that her hubby wouldn't fancy)
Cast?
The great Alfred Hitchcock consistently had a zero care, when it came to exposing the underhanded antics of the middle class folk
Well that sure was a fine how-do-doo!
Airdate March 28th, 1961. A boy's best friend is his mother 😜. Stars Antoinette Bower--Happy 90th!
There's no trust in each other
I kept thinking she didn’t swallow the milk as they were kissing 😽
Same here....lol. And yuck, too...lol
perfect ending..💖
Why does his wife not know his mother?😂
No offence, but I don't understand the title of the video.
The Greendalewitch The husband is a mamas boy because he gets his mother to kill his wife. Not sure why the mother would kill the wife except for love of son. Then he gets to be with maid.
@@helanesolomon1724 And the wife had never met his mother. Hmmm ....
Brian I didn't think about that! Aha!
Twisted.
Okkk.....kinda Corny
Like she has never seen or met her own MOTHER in LAW???? 🤔🤔
I've found in life men stay around for yrs when your a lover. Vs the wives. Chore vs sparks ..
Such a great ending!
Puts into perspective my ex dumping me when I was consistently ill?
Oh WOW....LOL
Strange, you are married a man and you don't know his mother ... Hmmm
Kind of silly though, like the wife never met the mother even though they are married?🤔🤔🤔🤔
She was a Captain Kirk "problem" on one episode.
HA HA HA, GOOD ONE.
Haha😏good one
Goblets of milk?
Actually, that ending was kinda predictable.
Exactly, like tamil drama.
Shows of 1909
DAMN!
Lesson to be learned: kick a man like that out the door immediately and don't wait to see what he or his rotten mommie are going to plan and plot and scheme. Mommies are so often backing up abusive and violent men. This is supposed to be a farcical plot with that twist at the end but in the post feminist era it should be one of those wake up bells showing the reality of what is truly behind a sleazy and hateful male--his mommy, often learned all the abuse and murder from his rotten daddy who abused his mommy. So glad times have changed a bit for a different angle on this type of plot.
Character traits never change.
I kept thinking as I watched how could the wife have loved this febrile man who had nothing of value?
Worse, how could the maid love a man who wished to turn her into a murderess?
Perhaps for money?
Aye, there’s the rub.
Save yourself the headache and don't get married. We're all the same. Sooner or later a more beautiful/younger woman will catch our eye.
Very poor story the writers must have been on there holdays when this was made 😊😊😊
