A child on my street was being bullied for being smart. He even got a college scholarship. His future went down the drain when he killed a 21 year old bully. I was told the bully was a high school drop out. The whole situation was really sad. 😒

But bringing a gun to school is NOT the way to go about handling a situation. I am being told that the shooter was robbed and beaten numerous times. I am not making excuses.. But how can school officials allow students to rob and beat each other? Because it they do? Shootings will happen. If you are being beaten and robbed what are you to do? This could have been prevented.

Whoever bullied who, doesn't matter. These kids are not taught how to go about dealing with situations except with a gun. That's their answer to everything. No wonder these young kids are always in so much trouble. Teach your young kids how to handle life's situations without a gun! If you're bullied talk to a teacher, counselor, mother, father, principle, etc. Teach kids that violence is never the answer to anything! What ever happened to teaching love, understanding, patience, "Christian values", talking? And this doesn't have to do with being from Texas or owning guns. I'm from Texas and I know plenty of people that have never shot anybody except in self defense, so it's not the guns. I saw in the news recently that someone in Norway killed several people with a bow and arrow. People get killed with hammers, machetes, knives, etc. So it's not the object that kills, it's the person that kills and those people have never been taught how to deal with their anger in an appropriate manner.

Bullying does matter many of the school shootings are because they were bullied and nothing is ever done about it teachers don’t take it seriously. What needs to happen is any kid caught bullying gets suspended once then the next time they bully a kid they get kicked out of the school. Bullying is much worse then people think it is and if it didn’t happen to you then you can’t understand you don’t know what it’s like to not want to go to school to get bullied and tortured it can be so bad you pretend to be sick so u can stay home because it’s that bad. I’m not saying it’s ok to shoot anyone nobody has the right to end someone’s life what I am saying is bullying needs to be taken much MUCH more seriously. Bullying can effect someone for the rest of their life. The kids that were bullying in this case should get into trouble they need to be held accountable. If any teachers knew about the bullying and didn’t do anything they should be fired or suspended at the bare minimum. We need to finally take real action and hold students and teachers accountable for bullying it’s gotta stop. As for the shooter 12 years is a pretty light sentence for what he did that doesn’t set a good precedence.

When I dealt with a bully, they could stand back up, dust off and have respect. Funny thing is, the video of the fight circulating shows just that, the fight. Many of the times I finally had it with my bully, they were the ones balled up trying hard to defend because they did not think I would react.

People are too afraid to intervene though these days, want to film it instead. Even with a truly ill intended bully, the masses can fix that issue. That kind is rare though. @@christianolange6950 there’s that, but there’s also the other side of it: the fight video is sometimes the result of a victim standing up to their bully who is caught off guard. With the fear of possibly getting shot for standing up against the bully, no one will want to do it. That’s what I thought, because of my own experience, when I’d have enough, the bully was the one balling up trying not to get hit. Atleast they could stand and dust themselves off. And it allowed for respect afterwards. Hell, sometimes they even became a friend and better people.

Problem with kids these days is they’re afraid of getting beaten up, or intervening and stopping a fight. No instead they want to catch it on camera and do nothing but watch. With what’s been put out, the fight was over, broken up, and the shooter then decided he was gonna get him some revenge with a gun he illegally had on school property. They saying this bully allegation, but what if the shooter was the bully and it was his victim finally getting to the end of his patience and putting the bully in his place? That was my own experience, but Atleast the bully could stand up, dust off and have respect afterwards. If I was in school now, id have to worry if standing up to my bully would result in me getting shot.

On the defensive shooting side of this though, there is a very fine but definite line between self defense and retaliation. He retaliated and that’s why he’s in the wrong. This is stuff you learn when you can apply for your concealed carry license, you know when it’s legal to carry a handgun, at age 21. And not on school grounds.

Even if he was bullied, he shot innocent people and gun violence is not the way. He’s ganna do time in prison. Most likely 5-10 because luckily his victims lived.
If he was bullied on an on going, regular basis, as it appears it has, and it was traumatizing enough to cause ptsd then yes, he will most likely be exonerated.

Has there been any clear photage of the shooter getting beat up? (Not that kids should be shooting each other). If the shooter wasn't in imminent danger he should get a higher charge, if he was defending his life a lesser one(or none depending).
