It’s not like it’s new though. There have been very dangerous people there for years and some of them were able to escape through the years. Escapees often would hide in the corn fields in the area. One person who escaped murdered an entire family. The good news is that it’s been a number of years since anyone has been able to escape from there. The women’s prison just down the road a bit seems to be slightly less secure than the men’s. Though it is close to impossible to escape from there as well.

@@YOOWINYOOWIN I wasn’t there as an inmate. I visited years ago with the staff of my church for a prison ministry we were partners with. We had a tour of the yard, along with one of the cell blocks, and the different working rooms and rec rooms. My first thought was to look at how there could possibly be escape opportunities. Walls and fences were extremely high and heavily guarded. Doors were very secure as well. I did enjoy working with the ministry and was able to hear some stories of the inmates. But yeah, not a place anyone would desire to be.

The city counselor asked who's going to pay for it all? Most yelm have filed bankruptcy. Opened charity garden to be tax exempt. Run churches to be tax exempt. So who's left? One of the charity leaders said she sold take a pay cut 😕
