- Can I beat Pokémon Emerald using only the Fire Starters? And its a hardcore Nuclocke! (Not Items, No over leveling)
I've been wanting to do a Fire Type Hardcore Nuzlocke for a while, so here it is, but with a twist. Using a modded version of Pokemon Emerald, I will play through the game getting one fire starter after each gym, until I have gotten the first 8 (sorry Fuenco).
I really enjoyed played this unique run, so let me know if you want water, or grass next!

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Only Catch The First Pokémon On Each Route
2) If A Pokémon Faints, I Cant Use Them
3) No Items In Battle
4) Set Mode

Depends on weather or not you want to go easy or hard.
In my experience, this being game dependent of coarse, but grass tends to be hard mode, fire tends to be normal mode and water tends to be easy mode...
I think do grass, but try and get the bulbasaur line fairly soon as it is the only poison starter
@@CharizardFan_og idk, I kinda think fire is hard mode in hoenn. I mean the first gym is all but impossible with a fire starter after all.

Water would be good because when you you get swampert you can sweep an elite four team

My favourite fire starter is Infernape because its design is based on the Monkey King and the fire and fighting typing is very unique.

My favorite Fire Pokémon starter is Cyndaquil. But let's be honest, choosing between starters is very hard!
Choosing between “some” starters is hard. For real though, I am partial to the earlier starters, like gen 3 and below, because those are the ones I grew up with. So cyndaquil is certainly towards the top for me, just not in this run, unfortunately

My favorite fire starter is Chimchar because Infernape is awesome. Although, Fuecoco is a VERY close second (I haven't bonded with Skeledirge as much as I have with Infernape)
I really like skeledirges ghost type. A fire ghost, is pretty awesome!
Cyndaquil has to be my favorite since it was my first starter in my first ever Pokémon game, and they’re just so damn cute

Oh my gosh YES! This is it right here. First of all, I love the nickname theme of fire ability users. I kinda figured that would be the case when I saw Zuko but still nice to see the rest. My favorite fire starter is Chimchar, but one of my favorite anime is One Piece, and so I was very happy to see that. Plus the iron fist ability is so golden I didn’t even realize that. I’d love to see grass types next, that’s my favorite typing :D
I thought it would be easier to find 8 fire users, but I ended up having to google a few.
I did save ace for chin hat because I I knew he was going to be a puncher, and as a one piece fan myself, it felt appropriate.
Btw, who is your favorite grass starter? If I do grass next, maybe I’ll start with them.

Dude I follow a bunch of poketubers. PM7, mandjtv, smallant etc. You've got a great, fresh approach to this this and I honestly wish more people knew about you. I LOVE that every challenge is a nuzlocke. It shows how skilled a player you are. Keep it up King! 💪

Absolutely Amazing as usual, still don’t know why you don’t have 100k more subs. Can you do some gen 4 content?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have 100k, but I have only been at this for half a year, so hopefully I’ll get there.
As for gen 4, I did do a Johto region Heart Gold a few weeks ago, using one Pokémon of each type. I’m working on part 2 right now, and also have a platinum run completed, that I just haven’t had time to edit yet. So I should have a few gen 4 videos coming up!

Charizard is my favorite for nostalgia effect, cinderace for utility because libero is amazing, and fennekin is just the cutest. Fire types are my favorite types so this was a joy to watch.
I feel basically the same way. Tbh, I didn’t realize cinderace had libero until I did this run, and it dramatically increased my respect for the guy

My favorite is Charmander obviously :) but seriously, I have loved how cute Charmander is since I was little. I would trade my duplicate cards to anyone for their Charmander cards and I still have a box of about 1500 Charmander cards in my attic..... I may have been weird lol

Most underrated nuzlocker
My fav fire starter is Fennekin, but I tend to choose my starters based on my fav looks: charmander, chikorita, torchic, piplup, snivy, fennekin, popplio, scorbunny, and sprigatito are my choices.
Psychic and fire are among my favorite types, so naturally I love fennekin. Especially when he can learn moves like shockwave and grass know.

The game not giving you dig was a good thing. Magnitude hits pokemon underground and doubles it's power when doing so
That’s true, but the only one of flannery’s Pokémon who has magnitude is numel. So after taking her out, the rest could have been taken out with dig, if they could learn it that is.
For the record rabbits literally dig burrows and give birth to their babies inside of them
Chimchar is my favorite just because it was the very first starter i chose the day i was gifted pokemon diamond (my first game)! Loved it ever since.

I like Litten b/c of the cool fire and dark moves, but Charmander is a classic too.

Tepig, he kinda has the same move pool depth of Nidoking. Have one with Heat Crash, Fire Blast, Wild Charge, and Solar Beam. It covers its own weaknesses.
Heat crash is pretty great for him. And wild charge is a good idea too

My favorite starter was immediately Cyndaquil, and only Torchic came close to overtaking him. It's declined since Monferno. Delphox could have been better designed and Incineroar should never have been bipedal. I fully expected a really cool Tiger on all fours. That would have been the one that swayed me from my Volcano shrew.
Yeah, I can see that. I’m not a huge inceneroar fan, but keeping him on four legs might have made me like him more

Well, I mean the earth is literally made of sediments and tectonic plate. Have any of you ever thought what's underneath the water body? If Groudon can lift up a big ass platform through the hard ass meteor in Sootoplis, shatter the ground, tectonic plates and erupt goddamn lava, literally terra form the earth, he can surely keep himself in the race with Kyogre. This is another example of perception of the eye that fools people.
Charmanders my favourite, no reason why just my first. But my second favourite is swampedt and then torterra.

I’ve grown to like chimchar more over the years, but being smack dap in the middle of the fire fighting starter craze has hurt his rep IMO.

Can someone explain why earthquake didnt hit zuko in the tate and liza fight?
I have no idea. There are a few glitches in this Rom, which is understandable since it’s basically a complete overhaul of emerald, things can happen. If I knew earthquake wasn’t going to hit him, I probably wouldn’t have lead with Zuko tbh.

Charizard is one of my favorites. Always has been since I've been playing since Gen 1. Also, I love this sort of setup for videos. Being as Grass is typically harder to do a playthrough with due to it's typing, I would like to see another like this with the grass starters. My guess is that Venusaur along with Rillaboom will be your most useful team members. Sceptile and Torterra are good as well.
Well, I actually just finished a grass starters run about a week ago. But I’m not sure when I’ll end up publishing it, because I have several other videos that need to come out first
