This is the band's (and most fans') least favourite CBP album but it's been my favourite since the day I heard it. They never topped it imho, they lost something when their singer Joe left.
Hi Jim,
Today was the first day that was dry the whole morning and afternoon. Now that rain starts soon. We had three times more rain in may than usual, about 185 ml. Everything is so wet. But the coming five days are going to be dry. The first ones in a very long time.
First song: I don’t like the long, for me at least, storytelling in advance of the music as this band often does.
The music itself is fragile and beautiful.
Second song: the riff is nice. Hooray, real singing (not talking on a different pitches) and what a voice.
Bonus song: I know this song. Yes, Kelly’s heroes. Sounds like some sixties religious family band from the USA. Not my kind of music.
Pretty good on the whole though, eh Will? Another great spin on the channel!

As you say, nice mix of styles - almost as if you had played a random mix-tape by mistake. Not so keen on Burning Bridges - of all the late sixties lyte-psych tracks, why choose to cover that one? I see that it's from 1970 so probably a couple of years out-of-date even then. Anyway, rest of the album was great so I forgive them!
