Had to purchase the DVD. A must have for Purcell fans. The entire presentation was one of the best I have ever heard or seen. Malena Ernman does a remarkable job and has performed one of the best laments I have heard. Brava!

As to poison blinding, it really depends on the poison. Just from spiders there's a multitude of ways they can kill you, and symptoms also vary a lot

Yes, Flagstad sung this note forte, and I love it...but this way is so beautiful too, it seems her last breathing.
All due respect, this is performed at EXTRA Baroque pitch, those are F5s in this performance, not Gs.
