Set the gun up so it sprays kinda thin. Try doing a couple light coats on it first so a heavier coat will stick to itself (the previous "tack coat") if you're brushing it on, same idea. I know exactly what youre talking about, it can be frustrating. Take a scrape peice and test it till you get it right. Also, don't stick it on while the glue is wet, make sure it's tacked up
So my issue is the fabric itself is all saggy/been pushpinned up and looks terrible. So i ripped out all thr fabric and scraped the insulation looking stuff. Now my roof is all fiberglass, now to figure out how to get it looking right again
You can find the factory type of headliner material pretty easily, or go to a fabric store and get anything you want really. Weldwood Landau Top & Trim is the only glue I'll use. I buy it by the gallon, it can be brushed on or sprayed. They also have areosole cans now. Don't know much about them but I'd assume it's the same stuff. Saw it on Amazon. Apply the glue on both the headliner and material and let set up before sticking them together.
