Getting tradesman who do qualify work expecially during finishing is a nightmare in kenya, painters will never do prep. work before painting and paint over everything 😅 tilers are the worst 😮
Wuon Odidi Nyakwar Amolo.....youve done a good job ,kwara.... gedo ok rumga , the so called mistakes are lessons learned. I am glad unaendelea... You are smart... funde mofuo to riembgi.... Good day
Wuon, I don't blame you for having the tiled skirting removed. I really dislike the way they use tiles for the skirting the home I grew up in had wood for skirting and it really looks good. I agree with you, most finishing in Kenya is very very poor and unfortunately even the people purchasing or building these homes costing millions don't seem to realize it.
The original guys were not great but Alex (0726-065-430) is just amazing with kitchen and cabinetry works!! I got the skirting from Harriet:0790-571-184
Odidi, this problem occurs everywhere, in South American countries. Even when they are at the bricklayer's feet, they make mistakes and leave damage, it is ugly to deal with that situation. Carlos Arengas-Barranquilla, Colombia.
I realize the “cat is already out of the bag” with the possibility your forever home has already been built. However, I think you’d still appreciate the ultra meticulous and client-centered methodology of this van builder. I plan on constructing a “tiny house” once I relocate to Kenya and I am going to draw heaving from many of his ideas but more importantly his painstaking attention to details. ruclips.net/video/In97mi0BBss/видео.htmlsi=csfnYqAPgpeA5KKK. Best of luck in your modifications. And, thanks for sharing. ❤
Talking about quality and in video the fundis appear to be struggling with this simple fix. Why doesn't he have a work table? Why doesn't he make or buy a jig to cut the 45 degree au funding rangi will fix this later?
Do you think it's worth it to use professional contractors cause using these cheaper local folks cost you almost as much as if you had paid a professional.

Add a quarter round to the skirting it enhances it..
Good idea!
Very informative. Shukran
Thanks!
Why are you removing tiles on skirting? What are you using to replace the tiles?
These synthetic panels look much better than tiles!
Kindly link me up with the fundis who built your kitchen 🙏 plus where in Nairobi did you buy the skirtings you're installing?

Not sure..but the outcome was good though!

I do..but they too can show you dust..you just need folks whose work is verified from credible sources!
