Thats a good one what would one put in it to make it is the better question. Cuz im thinking something like a malt beer and a shot of something and a hint of coffee.
christinewelford1842, I am quite certain that beer or ale, would have to be part of it, in order to honor Phil. As I myself cannot stand the taste of beer, I am at a loss as to what would go well with beer or ale. So I will leave it in your (hopefully) capable hands. Should you come up with a formula that is "pub tested" (means several people had tried and like it), by all means contact Time Team and share it with them. And even though it was my idea to begin with, if you do the work and testing, you should take credit for it, so please do so
@@tarnishedknight730 well thank you im sure i could find a few to try and try a new drink i work a a small restaurant and bar. The local guys will do almost anything we girls ask that are from the restaurant so might work
John Gator, that 55km team walked half a million data points and surveyed 27 acres WOW. stupendous and Tony missed opportunity to under line the stunning dedicated work and it's effectiveness that's seriously brilliant. I Love compilation with this return to see selected top points with new clips that were never seen before! Cheerio folks, all of you rock...and I wish to visit sites with a spring flight to Britain and explore some of what you've exposed and taught us about.
I love the geophys-heavy episodes. It's fashionable to run down geophys for some reason, but it's magical -- it's like medical imaging, which lets doctors get an idea of what they'll find before they even open you up. Thanks to the main tech -- radar, meg, and resistivity -- you can get an excellent idea of what might await you.
I can't imagine the average general, governor, or wealthy Roman would ever see 50,000 coins at once. What terrible event would leave such a massive treasure?
28:08 Near the center of teh screen there seems to be a round mount that looks like it has some sort of ditch around it and clearly building lines on top. This is likely a motte. If you look closer, there might be a second ditch around that with something that might look like a bailey to the north of this image.
Well done Geofizz. Just a shame the Eastry segment was spoiled when the music drowned out Tony’s voiceover about the windmill and great hall. Naughty TT.
Using coins to date a dig makes me wonder: were coins removed from circulation at certain times? Could a family have their own hoard of coins for generations and still able to use them?
coin circulation was pretty simple, coins were minted with the advent of evry new emperor so when you find 3 groups of coins you go by the newest to be minted and thatll give you a nice 5,10, 20 year period to date a dig until a even later minted coin crops up. as for removal from circulation? well they'd use coins until worn beyond recognition, they''d even have very worn coins appraised then marked to show it was still legal so a family could walk in with a 100 year old coin and still use it (and rightly so, as the years rolled on the metal percentage would get lowered in the making process making old coins far more valuable then their newer counter part , shop keeps arent going to say no to a better quality coin )
I really thought that the very first episode would be one of the geophys triumphs. But I guess that there is less material to use from that episode, and that the quality is worse.
The first episode definitely was a geophys triumph. I suspect that these compilations are made up of only the episodes that can be viewed anywhere in the world - for example, the first few series are geo-blocked in the UK as they are available exclusively on the Channel 4 website.
I had to stop watching this show as the boomer wouldn't stop gleefully saying "geo phys!" 500 times per episode. If you had a drink every time he repeated the term, you would be poisoned.
I'm surprised that none of the pubs that the Time Team visits during a dig, has developed a drink called the "Geo Fizz".
Damn that's a good one.

Good for Gater. But I want a collection that's just titled "Stewart!"
Cheers to you John Gater!
and his sister Alison!

Thanks Frances' for the interest in looking out your kitchen window! Miraculous 😊!!
Always amazes me when you see that there is absolutely nothing left apart from a few stones underground. 2000 years and its gorn!
I miss Raksha (among others) in the revived Time Team. I know she's currently got lots on her archeological plate with the CBA.
I do too. I always looked forward to her sense of humor and knowledge
I can't imagine the effort put into getting the coins putting them in a wheelbarrow for a second of footage
Thanks!
We need merch that says “show me the geo-phys”
I do like a Roman dig!
John,Phil and Francis are my TT heroes 👍😁
Yay John! Hope this has the plunge pool one 😂
Really miss Mick, he was always excellent in his explanations that everyone could understand.
Mick will always dwell in our hearts!❤❤❤

I really dig archaeology.
😂
Time Team 🙂 thank you 👏
Always enjoy !
Love this show.

In the full episode, they theorized that it was a sort of long-term community deposit rather than one person’s panic burial.

Amazing how technology has advanced to help us look into the past.
OMG! The name is priceless!!!
I miss them all but my favourite is the geophysicists👍
Thanks
I love their icecreams.
I'm surprised episode 1 doesn't count as a victory
Me too! I thought episode 1 would show up in the geo-physics compilation.
at 24.01 whats the feature virtually center screen ?

The coins provide a date range - the newest coins give a latest possible date for the hoard.
YAY!!!!
Happy Easter everyone 🐰🐰🐰🐰
How many pairs of shoes has John Gater gone through since season 1 ep. 1?
Hey guys how can i get involved as a volunteer
A whole hour dedicated to justifying John's existence lol. Jk 💕💕💕
Tony Robinsons favourite word without doubt is Geophys, but does he know what it means?
So many cast and guests say "geo physical" I always hear the TT equivalent of "pacifically."

@@georgedorn1022 that would make sense. I did not think of possible geoblocking.
Phil's nails though....
Who is/was messing up with sound levels ? Can't anybody fix that ?...
Cadadadry,
My ten year old granddaughter could.
GEO-PHYS has to be in capitals does it?
Geophys marathon walkers 😆
med-EEE-vel!
where did Tony get 55 000 coins from? raided every piggy bank around? or were they just copper -blanks-?
If you give your bank enough notice…a withdrawal can be made. (The bank ups their order to the central distribution system).
A bank
The original episode 'Potted History' is available. You can see when they bury them, that they are indeed pennies.
🙃🙃🙃
First episode, typical of California!
My daughter has taught herself Latin. She’s basically fluent, but she reminds me she’s level B.
The worrying the is with the change on the sea rise you😢 screwed climate change, thankyou

wow ... Phil didn't say "crucial" ...
