Thank God it was not the unplugged version. Perhaps some will say it is my age and I grew up with the Derek and the Dominoes version but I just never get behind the unplugged version. Perhaps it is not my age though as my 29yr old son and my 20yr old son prefer the original also. LOL
Layla is the one song I never get sick of. I’ve heard it more often than any other song. Of course you can always argue, but to me Layla is a perfect song. Everything just fits. The main guitar line is epic, the vocals full of emotion. The song is pure drive and energy. And every time the chorus kicks in I can’t help but scream along. I look forward to hearing it live in about half a year when Slowhand comes to Munich.
I grew up loving Eric Clapton. My mom took me to a concert when I was a toddler and I was so excited! I remember when I was in kindergarten, the teacher was asking what everyone's favorite songs were, and of course other kids were saying Old McDonald, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, etc, but I said "Cocaine." The teacher had to call home and my mom laughed and explained, haha!

Bell Bottom Blues and Badge for me. My favorite solo of his post Cream and not called Bell Bottom Blues is probably Forever Man though. Extremely simple. Enters with a bang. Exits with a bang. Tone for centuries. That is all.

A Very MLG Potato what about George Harrison who she hurt really bad , should we thank her for that . It's called screwing around no matter how famous you are and I Eric Clapton is one miserable sod
Steve Hunter Both George and Pattie were wrong. They both were cheating. I may love George but I don't like the fact that he cheated in both his marriages.
White Room was just litterly joked about by watch mojo when they were talking about sunshine of your love and they didn't even give a honorable mention
My Father's Eyes is one of my favorite Clapton songs, shame it wasn't an honorable mention, but hey; at least it got played a little at the end. Pretty good list though!
Funny because the songs title Layla was named after a character named Layla in a Persian poem that Clapton read. It was a love poem that strongly resonated with him and his obsession with Pattie Boyd
Here is my list of top 10 eric clapton songs ( solo, cream, Derek and the Domino's, anything associated with Eric clapton) 10) After midnight by Eric clapton (original or remastered, they both sound good) 9) Crossroads by cream 8) my father's eyes by Eric clapton 7) Strange brew by cream 6) White Room by cream 5) I shot the sheriff by Eric clapton 4) it's in the way that you use it by Eric clapton 3) Cocain by Eric clapton 2) Layla by Derek and the Domino's 1) Sunshine of your love by cream
My pick: 1-Let It rain 2-Presence of ThE Lord 3-Better make It through today 4-Circus left town 5-Wanna make LOVE TO you 6-She what LOVE can do 7-Layla 8-All our past times 9-I am yours 10-(not written by him: I am so glad)
All great songs that are listed. But let's not forget: Pretendin, Forever man, Before you accuse me, She's waiting and River of Faith. The guitar playing on these songs is just unreal. But no qualms with Crossroads or Layla. BTW, let's not forget After Midnight.
I would have had a very different top-10 and group of honorable mentions. To go along with "Wonderful Tonight" and "Cocaine", the only two I would have retained from this list, I would have included "Let It Rain", "She's Waiting", "Bad Love", "I've Got a Rock 'N' Roll Heart", "Pretending", "Help Me Up", "It's In the Way That You Use It", "We're All the Way", "No Alibis", "Promises", "I Can't Stand It", "Next Time You See Her", "Forever Man", "Another Ticket", "Miss You", "Riding With the King" (with B.B. King), "White Room" (by Cream), "Blues Power" (1980 live version), "After Midnight" (1988 version), "Tulsa Time", "Tearing Us Apart" (with Tina Turner) and his excellent cover of The Spinners' "Love Don't Love Nobody".
There's an error with the name of the song in honorable mentions. The song played at 12:57 is not called 'Motherless Children' but 'Motherless Child' and is not from 1974 but from his 1994 album 'From the Cradle'.
I agree almost completely with your listing; except I would have interchanged cross roads for sunshine of your love, making sunshine #2 and and cross roads #5. In addition I would have added white room by Cream, and I can't find my way home by Blind Faith as honorable mentions. Eric Clapton is one of the best guitarists and exceedingly prolific. One could easily do another top 10, making it 20, of just his solo work. One could also have a top 10 of just cream songs. In addition one could do another top 10 Eric Clapton songs just from his work with The Yard Birds, with John Mayall, with Derrick and the Dominoes, with Bonnie and Delaney, etc. He is the only person who has been inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame 3 times. They were in order: the Yard Birds, Cream, and as a solo artist. I am an old man, and have followed his career from the beginning. I was fortunate enough to see him 5 times in concert; each one was with a different band or genre. These were: Cream, Blind Faith, Derrick and the Dominoes, as a solo artist (where part of it was with his back up band, and the other part was him singing and playing an acoustic guitar by himself), and at his cross roads festival.
My list: 10)white room 9)tearing us apart 8)while my guitar gently weeps 7)i shot the sheriff 6)my father eyes 5)cocaine 4)sunshine of your love 3)layla 2)tears in heaven 1)wonderful tonight
You've heard as much truly great music in this fifteen minutes or so, as the "charts" has thrown up in the last 15 YEARS! loved everything Clapton ever made, but I think (and remember, this is just a personal opinion!) that the 'Journeyman' album just about tops the tree... Peace.
Lovely list...I love EC...I was thrilled to see one of my favorites, Motherless Children from 461 Ocean Blvd., made the honorable mention list...unfortunatly the video shown was Motherless Child from the album From the Cradle...close, but two different songs
Little snippets like 'my fathers eyes' being used after saying 'do you agree with our list?', implying, yes, there are many other super songs missed out from this list, adds humility, gives me goosebumps - and has established watchmojo as one of the premier channels on youtube. Oh and thank you for putting Kids With Guns in Gorillaz' top ten. Made my day.
Love his music and his great and unique style! Two big favorites of mine are Promises from the Backless album and My Father's Eyes from his Pilgrim album. Clapton has many awesome hits but, I still believe some of his best work is yet to come though. He is a survivor and god bless him for being so great on the guitar!
Favorite song is 'Just like a prisoner'. But I have over 60 of his songs on my Playlist. I've been listening to him since the 60's and I attended his concert a few months ago. Argue all you want about who is the greatest but he is my favorite.
Greetings from the UK. How about this for starters, 10 Effigy, 9.It Came Out of the Sky, 8.Bad Moon Rising, 7. Lookin' Out My Backdoor, 6. Long as I Can See the Light, 5. Have You Ever Seen the Rain. 4. Run Thru' the Jungle. 3. Lodi, 2. Who'll Stop the Rain.1, Ramble Tamble.. Easy to guess my favourite CD from that choice.
I was going to say that "Bad Love" should be on the list, but I honestly can't think which song I'd drop to make room. Clapton deserves a Top 100 list.
Two songs that have a personal meaning to me were "Tears in Heaven" and "My Father's Eyes". Although I had never personally lost a child I have lost over 20 people in ten years. But there are so many of his songs to choose from it would be hard to choose the top ten. Maybe switch it to the top twenty or thirty. Another personal favorite of mine is "Help me up" a soundtrack from a movie.
It's all a matter of opinion. I prefer EC live rather than Studio produced. My top 10 EC Live, some with different band members taking Lead vocals are: 10. Spider Jiving ( Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 Andy Fairweather Low vocals) 9. Can't Find My Way Home (feat. Mark Knopfler. Beetle Clasher. Nathan East vocals) 8. Key to the Highway ( Blues Night 1990) 7. Runnin' on Faith ( 24 Nights) 6. Layla ( One More Car Tour) 5. White Room (feat. Mark Knopfler. Beetle Clasher) 4. No Alibis (RAH 24 Nights Sessions) 3. Gin House Blues (Yokohama 1999, Andy Fairweather Low vocals) 2. Badge (Belfast 2004) 1. River of Tears (One More Car Tour) No commercial drivel here. Probably at bit too left field for some. A few among you may realise that several sources repeat, simply these are the best sound quality that I can find. Any better sources will be appriciated. TSF
Hi carol. Thanks for your comment could easily have produced a top 20, which is played almost non stop in the car. Agree with your Dylan concert choice which is on my car compilation along with Love Minus Zero - No Limit which is where my TSF monicker comes from. See if you can work it out. Regards Bob
My Top 10 10 Sunshine Of Your Love 9. It's In The Way That You Use It 8. She's Waiting 7. Promises 6. Cocaine (live) 5. I Shot The Sheriff 4. Crossroads 3. White Room 2. The Core 1. Layla
I certainly hope Forever Man is in the Honorable Mentions, because I guess Layla is number one. According to ME, it would be weird not to feature Forever Man on this list.
My list: #10: Layla #9: I Shot The Sheriff #8: White Room #7: Let It Rain #6: Before You Accuse Me #5: Promises #4: Change The World #3: Tears in Heaven #2: Lay DOwn Sally #1: Cocaine
I'm 68 and started listening to Cream in high school, Derek and the Dominos in college and his solo career since, EC has been the soundtrack of my life
The best all time Eric Clapton song in the world has to be after midnight done unplugged.the way he tears that guitar up on the riff is just phenomenal.
@@phoarey You're right,so was I shot the sheriff,,,Bob Marley, Cocaine JJ Cale.. Badge George Harrison and was to be call Bridge...and I wrote Blind Faith,,, now he sings and also he recorded in one of his albuns. Just like Sunshine of your love was Jack Bruce.
NIce. Thanks for these its a massive flash back. Slow hand is an album, not his MTV live stuff (yes I know).... Listening now for your opinion and how mine differs. Nice number 10. Awesome Old love - wow this is def one of his top 5 imo. On a coupe of albums now, this is Clapton at his best. 8 - I shot the sheriff - Its ok, still Clapton finding his feet, not sure its top 10. Commercial Id say 7 - Bell bottom, one of my favs, this isnt his best though. 6 - Wonderful tonight. Its a hard one. I love this. Thing is its so over p^layed. Not bad, one of his go to songs. Get back to CROSSROADS! 5 - Sunshine of your love - not as good as white room. As said a definitive battle with Hendrix. I would say shame her, if it wasn't for the fact that guitar is awsome. 4 - Cocaine - great song. NOt top 5 though. 3 - Heaven. Fuck Rush. Legend mate, so real. It has to be said, its not your best song. Soprry. 2 - Version they have is shitty. Back then, WOW. Awesome Eric. True No. 1 OM Uhm Awesome, Uhm, Lol, nice, 1 - Holly smoke. Lay it down Eric. Layla is awesome, I can think of a couple better though. I love your blues stuff. Thanks for that! A couple to mention; Cover... I guess , of Hoochie Coohie (from the cradle) - you where born for it Bad faith, Running on faith, and yes old love from Journeyman. Double trouble from ' no reason to cry ' If you like finley then Pilgrim is a mad coldplay hybrid!! Sessions for Robert J - they offer a massive blues crash. Slowhand - listen to the whole album - no question the best album for clapton baring his live. Skiping some, Unplugged is the place to start for newbs. 461 is an awesome mix of eric and his wish to play with the best. Fun album, if you like blues, go for it for sure. Riding with the King. I would say, you buy this if you like music. Erics gone into what he wants. "Its 3 a clock in the morning and I cant even cliose my eyes....." Ok My adlib review is over. Peace all xx
I knew it wouldn't be on here but my favorite song he's ever done was off the Lethal Weapon 3 soundtrack. It's Probably Me. Such a great song for a great movie.
White Room not even an honourable mention? Definitely a better song than the overated Sunshine Of Your Love Good that Bell Bottom Blues is here even though I'd have had it higher
snaggleooo I think they must've meant only songs that Clapton originally sung cos all these songs just happen to be Clapton songs, but he has also sung this in concert & they said that counts, maybe they didn't know that
Let me say .I was a studio guitarist and keyboardist internationally.I play rock, classical and jazz.I understand metal to blues to mozart. I produced over 100 albums. So let me say that eric clapton is not any better than many high school guitarist i grew up with.just simple 3 note blues phrases that are incredible easy to learn.I could play them by age 12 and most of my friends could too. I will say that for the 1960’s he was great, but somehow he lost the old black blues riffs and started doing little boring bends with one or two notes in between.I doubt he knows any music theaory or can play arpegios, and complicated riffs that involve arpegios, scales and not just a solo that is 1-3-1-3 bend 3-5-3-5 bend, how about a 3 octive minor arpegio with a few 9’s and 11’s thrown in then backwards with a few twist.but to all the none musical music fans they thing what he does is awesome thats your right.,yet comparing him to a great guitarist is like comparing a crappy 50’s piano player to mozart. Great guitarist are ,page, eric johnson, vanhalen, either guitarist from the band yes, pretty much any jazz or classical guitarist that works hard at playing.oh yeah for creativity ill add brian may and george harrison, plus all the great country guitarist.
yeah ofcourse led zeppelin, the rolling stones are in the top three but in no particular order the who, pink floyd and sex pistols are in the top ten too
Did anybody else 100% see Layla coming for number 1?
Everybody did.
Thank God it was not the unplugged version. Perhaps some will say it is my age and I grew up with the Derek and the Dominoes version but I just never get behind the unplugged version. Perhaps it is not my age though as my 29yr old son and my 20yr old son prefer the original also. LOL
I honestly expected Tears in Heaven
@@rondamorris3550 I ne er liked the remake either. Give me "THE ORIGINAL LAYLA".
I love Clapton! But my faves weren't on the list.😢.

Actually, you could do a Top 10 of songs inspired by Pattie and her sister Jennifer. They were quite the pair.

No one mentions "If I Could Change the World" but it's a damn fine tune.
"The pair eventually married with Harrison's blessing." George: "Feel free to marry my wife."
Ex-wife. George Harrison remarried in 1978, so he got over losing his other wife. Clapton and Boyd married in 79'.
I believe Harrison's exact words were "take my wife...….PLEASE!".
Y'all haven't heard Harrison's version of "Bye Bye Love"? Harrison did feel hurt, but felt it was better to lose to someone he knew than a stranger.
Wonderful Tonight brings me WAY back. My parents used to listen to it all the time when I was a toddler.

Not PC enough I guess.
Thank you, Patty Boyd, for living as the inspiration for some of the greatest songs ever written.

he was only a guitarist on that song
Yes but they said if we see it at a clapton concert it's fair game.
It was of george harrison,,the beatles

I think that too

Yes and they left off a lot of Honorable mention. Sh*t it should have been top 30 for the GOD

They said they're only including songs that can be played in a Clapton concert , he never played White Room because it's written by Jack not him
My pick:
1-Let It rain
2-Presence of ThE Lord
3-Better make It through today
4-Circus left town
5-Wanna make LOVE TO you
6-She what LOVE can do
7-Layla
8-All our past times
9-I am yours
10-(not written by him: I am so glad)
Eric Clapton is one of the best guitar Rock stars of any generation and our time , should respect him for that, the younger generation that is.
All great songs that are listed. But let's not forget: Pretendin, Forever man, Before you accuse me, She's waiting and River of Faith. The guitar playing on these songs is just unreal. But no qualms with Crossroads or Layla. BTW, let's not forget After Midnight.
Eric Clapton - Pilgrim, the whole album is a masterpiece.
True. Brilliant album.
I agree. And I thought Journeyman was right up there also.
Eric Vera
I love the flute work on “Broken Hearted”...
I would have had a very different top-10 and group of honorable mentions.
To go along with "Wonderful Tonight" and "Cocaine", the only two I would have retained from this list,
I would have included "Let It Rain", "She's Waiting", "Bad Love", "I've Got a Rock 'N' Roll Heart", "Pretending",
"Help Me Up", "It's In the Way That You Use It", "We're All the Way", "No Alibis", "Promises", "I Can't Stand It",
"Next Time You See Her", "Forever Man", "Another Ticket", "Miss You", "Riding With the King" (with B.B. King),
"White Room" (by Cream), "Blues Power" (1980 live version), "After Midnight" (1988 version), "Tulsa Time",
"Tearing Us Apart" (with Tina Turner) and his excellent cover of The Spinners' "Love Don't Love Nobody".
There's an error with the name of the song in honorable mentions. The song played at 12:57 is not called 'Motherless Children' but 'Motherless Child' and is not from 1974 but from his 1994 album 'From the Cradle'.
Good catch. There's a lot of other things wrong with this, too.
@@markbrophy554 Lemon Pledge, dupa?
RIP Duane Allman, your solo at the end of Layla is was made it so awesome IMO
My 2nd favorite Eric Clapton song is Bad Love behind Layla.
Clapton STILL is one of my ALL time Favs ..
One of the Great Legends in the Guitar World
Tears in heaven always makes me cry
These were: Cream, Blind Faith, Derrick and the Dominoes, as a solo artist (where part of it was with his back up band, and the other part was him singing and playing an acoustic guitar by himself), and at his cross roads festival.
definitely needs white room on this list, the solos are so great
My list:
10)white room
9)tearing us apart
8)while my guitar gently weeps
7)i shot the sheriff
6)my father eyes
5)cocaine
4)sunshine of your love
3)layla
2)tears in heaven
1)wonderful tonight
You've heard as much truly great music in this fifteen minutes or so, as the "charts" has thrown up in the last 15 YEARS! loved everything Clapton ever made, but I think (and remember, this is just a personal opinion!) that the 'Journeyman' album just about tops the tree...
Peace.
Lovely list...I love EC...I was thrilled to see one of my favorites, Motherless Children from 461 Ocean Blvd., made the honorable mention list...unfortunatly the video shown was Motherless Child from the album From the Cradle...close, but two different songs
I feel his version of 'hide away' deserves an honourable mention.
Yes! I like his pre-solo career stuff more than his solo stuff
@@ebecenti pp
What about "Promises," "I Can't Stand It," and "The Core," which he sang as a duet with his backup singer Marcy Levy? Also, "Let It Grow."
This guy was also the heart and soul of the Lethal Weapon films!!!!
Made my day.
layla one of my all time favorite songs
same
Love his music and his great and unique style! Two big favorites of mine are Promises from the Backless album and My Father's Eyes from his Pilgrim album.
Clapton has many awesome hits but, I still believe some of his best work is yet to come though. He is a survivor and god bless him for being so great on the guitar!
Where is "Let It Rain " ?
Jorge Guzmán Yes!
Favorite song is 'Just like a prisoner'. But I have over 60 of his songs on my Playlist. I've been listening to him since the 60's and I attended his concert a few months ago. Argue all you want about who is the greatest but he is my favorite.
Damn this Layla, she wins all love/classic/claptop related tops and a place in our hearts :). I wish White Room would've been #2, or in top 5
Well, what I like even more about "I shot the sheriff" is the mind - blowing guitar solo in the middle ..
Top Creedence Clearwater Revival songs
Greetings from the UK. How about this for starters, 10 Effigy, 9.It Came Out of the Sky, 8.Bad Moon Rising, 7. Lookin' Out My Backdoor, 6. Long as I Can See the Light, 5. Have You Ever Seen the Rain. 4. Run Thru' the Jungle. 3. Lodi, 2. Who'll Stop the Rain.1, Ramble Tamble.. Easy to guess my favourite CD from that choice.
CCR are very very underrated 😔
where do they come in?
Bob Heap Cosmo's Factory is definitely their best, especially with such a strong lead despite it not being a single.
I was going to say that "Bad Love" should be on the list, but I honestly can't think which song I'd drop to make room. Clapton deserves a Top 100 list.
People dont know who Eric Clapton is.... im not even in highschool and im a fan...
Yeah, he's an unknown, that's for sure......rme.
I absolutely adore Bell Bottom Blues. It's so soulful and heartfelt.
That solo in White room! 🙏😍love from India 🇮🇳
It's all a matter of opinion. I prefer EC live rather than Studio produced. My top 10 EC Live, some with different band members taking Lead vocals are:
10. Spider Jiving ( Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 Andy Fairweather Low vocals)
9. Can't Find My Way Home (feat. Mark Knopfler. Beetle Clasher. Nathan East vocals)
8. Key to the Highway ( Blues Night 1990)
7. Runnin' on Faith ( 24 Nights)
6. Layla ( One More Car Tour)
5. White Room (feat. Mark Knopfler. Beetle Clasher)
4. No Alibis (RAH 24 Nights Sessions)
3. Gin House Blues (Yokohama 1999, Andy Fairweather Low vocals)
2. Badge (Belfast 2004)
1. River of Tears (One More Car Tour)
No commercial drivel here. Probably at bit too left field for some.
A few among you may realise that several sources repeat, simply these are the best sound quality that I can find. Any better sources will be appriciated. TSF
Love your choice. Listen to his version (live )of don't think twice it's alright on Bob Dylan's anniversary show blows me away.
*No Alibis* would certainly be on my list...
Hi carol. Thanks for your comment could easily have produced a top 20, which is played almost non stop in the car. Agree with your Dylan concert choice which is on my car compilation along with Love Minus Zero - No Limit which is where my TSF monicker comes from. See if you can work it out. Regards Bob
My Top 10
10 Sunshine Of Your Love
9. It's In The Way That You Use It
8. She's Waiting
7. Promises
6. Cocaine (live)
5. I Shot The Sheriff
4. Crossroads
3. White Room
2. The Core
1. Layla
Where is Bad Love? One of his most underrated songs
I would've at least expected it to be an honorable mention.
As far as his own compositions, "Wonderful Tonight." Without a doubt... WONDERFUL TONIGHT.
I certainly hope Forever Man is in the Honorable Mentions, because I guess Layla is number one. According to ME, it would be weird not to feature Forever Man on this list.
I am ridiculously happy 'change the world' made the shortlist. thank you!!
My list:
#10: Layla
#9: I Shot The Sheriff
#8: White Room
#7: Let It Rain
#6: Before You Accuse Me
#5: Promises
#4: Change The World
#3: Tears in Heaven
#2: Lay DOwn Sally
#1: Cocaine
Evan Schelling layla is number one.
Evan Schelling layla is number one.
Layla is number one
Layla is number one
Cocaine is a good shout. I actually love Claptons version of it.
I'm 68 and started listening to Cream in high school, Derek and the Dominos in college and his solo career since, EC has been the soundtrack of my life
Bad Love should be included
"Eyesight to the Blind" is a personal favorite of mine. Extremely underrated, in my opinion.
George Harrison must have been really close with Eric Clapton
rojothe2nd
They were best friends and inspired each other to make more and better music
They referred to each other as Ex-Husbands- In- Law
Then patti Boyd came
George and Eric were not best friends before Patti Boyd.
monahawk 🤦🏻♂️
The best all time Eric Clapton song in the world has to be after midnight done unplugged.the way he tears that guitar up on the riff is just phenomenal.
Happy Birthday Eric Clapton!
Clapton is the Idol of millions of people and the influence of so many guitar players!
Thank You Sue!
Dwight Chamberlin Dwight I posted that before I left the house this morning. I'll look for the song Rita Mae :)
Dwight Chamberlin Will look for it, just came home
Dwight Chamberlin I found it Lol
Excellent call on Crossroads, every aspect of that song is amazing.
Can`t find my way home.....Blind faith....should be on it
markriobr 💯 oh yes
Gresh
It's a Steve Winwood song.
Awesome
Old love - wow this is def one of his top 5 imo. On a coupe of albums now, this is Clapton at his best.
8 - I shot the sheriff - Its ok, still Clapton finding his feet, not sure its top 10. Commercial Id say
7 - Bell bottom, one of my favs, this isnt his best though.
True No. 1
OM
Uhm
Awesome,
Uhm,
Lol, nice,
1 - Holly smoke. Lay it down Eric. Layla is awesome, I can think of a couple better though. I love your blues stuff. Thanks for that!
A couple to mention;
Cover... I guess , of Hoochie Coohie (from the cradle) - you where born for it
Bad faith, Running on faith, and yes old love from Journeyman.
Double trouble from ' no reason to cry '
If you like finley then Pilgrim is a mad coldplay hybrid!!
"Its 3 a clock in the morning and I cant even cliose my eyes....."
Ok My adlib review is over.
Peace all xx
The piano part at the end of Layla was definitely the best part in the song for me.... and it wasn't shown :(
It's good, but it's not the best part of the song!
I knew it wouldn't be on here but my favorite song he's ever done was off the Lethal Weapon 3 soundtrack. It's Probably Me. Such a great song for a great movie.
YES!! Layla is #1! it's one of my all time Favs! ^^
The greatest guitarist of all time. Great list :)
Vikas Bahuguna Jimi Hendrix
Vikas Bahuguna LoL both Jimi Hendrix and Page are better
Stevie ray Vaughn*
Xander Mohan They both sounded better. Were better technically that’s that
@@pjhans4516 I disagree as well, Clapton is more creative and emotional than Hendrix or Page imo
Thanks a lot for doing this awesome work, so many various songs for one man! great idea to include covers!
White Room not even an honourable mention? Definitely a better song than the overated Sunshine Of Your Love
Good that Bell Bottom Blues is here even though I'd have had it higher
Unless I'm mistaken, White Room is sung by Jack Bruce rather than Clapton, so I guess that's why it's not here. Agree on its brilliance though.
snaggleooo I think they must've meant only songs that Clapton originally sung cos all these songs just happen to be Clapton songs, but he has also sung this in concert & they said that counts, maybe they didn't know that
But they did mention it when they were talking about sunshine of your love, I do agree with you though
0532MOET ii
sunshine of your love is overrated??? one of the greatest riffs in rock history. and white is also a fantastic song, should be on the list!
There is the movie "Tom Dowd andThe language of Music" where Dowd explains the piano break in "Layla." See it-it's great.
Great great documentary.
i totally agree with this list
Top 10 English bands
This idea is spot on. +1 internet for you
Hey you're that guy from What's Your Mojo! Hi...
I am not sure of the the others but I am 100%sure that the beatles would top the list
Merhawi Netzerab I would love to see the stone roses and the small faces in there somewhere.
yeah ofcourse led zeppelin, the rolling stones are in the top three but in no particular order the who, pink floyd and sex pistols are in the top ten too
Layla is legitimately my favorite song
Looking only at the thumbnail, anyone else thought of Henry Ian Cusick in Lost?... Desmond?... anyone?... no?........ Bueller?
I actually thought he was David Spade for a sec lol.
i thought the same brotha
Maybe in another life brotha
I went to school with his niece.
Spoonful from Clapton's cream days has a bad ass solo and is also a standout moment for jack Bruce's phenomenal bass
Eric Clapton is the man..... In my opinion #1 is Layla, #2 is Tears in Heaven, and #three is Cocaine.
