The weirdest part of that Monstertruck sumo match was that the giant still wrestled the main event match after he got murdered by being shuffed off a building.
The weird part of your comment is that you're talking about it like it's real and nothing like this is should be possible lol
@@brites1126 I watched that PPV as a kid and that's exactly the way it felt to me. They told us Hogan just killed the Giant and everything, but then Hogan showed up in full wrestling gear with his entrance music trying to sell that he was devastated from killing somebody and then the Giant showed up being just fine and defeated him. Even knowing it's kayfabe nothing of that made sense. Not even as a atoryline.
The weirdest part is actually that he won the world title when a Yeti Mummy came out and bummed Hogan to death
Giant: I died once.
...
Giant: What? I got better.
The Monstertruck match also would be included in Top 10 ways Hogan poisoned WCW.
Am I the only person on this planet who enjoyed the Asylum match? The look on Jericho's face when Dean got out the tacks was priceless!
It would have been better if it was ECW on TNN
Me too bro
I liked it. Wasn't anything amazing or mind blowing. But I liked it.
I think I can remember Chris Jericho keep complaining that he had 69 Thumbtacks pulled out of him.
I liked it. A bit shorter and it would've had a better grade in my book.
"Mom, can we get some Undertaker for our "Last Rites Match"?"
"No sweetie, we already have plenty of Sting that we can use at home."
Omg u r very gorgeous
xD
@@tonyacosta4574 Ima pretend i didnt see that
I absolutely loved the Armageddon Hell in a Cell match. I really hope they do another one of them.
I love this match one of my all time favourite matches
Will never happen again, as they have the elimination chamber now
No need for it since they have the elimination chamber
@@quinjuanmurray7528 errrrrr yeah dude that's what I said above
bro tbh my second favorite match
I was actually in the audience for Kennel From Hell. It was actually WORSE in person than on PPV. In person they didn't properly line up the bars between the cage and the surrounding Cell, and you couldn't see ANYTHING that was happening in the ring. It was miserable.
jesus
prolly smelled like shit too
I hate the fact that boss man was in the match, he and al snow both deserved better. And oh my GOD go watch it on peacock and listen to the commentary. Wrestling has some cringe moments but i was legit cringing on the couch watching this match's commentary
Ya'll forgot that when the fake electric switch fell down at the beginning of the match n Mick Foley had to put it back up hoping no one seen it happen 😂
You neglected to mention that an Armageddon Hell in a Cell match is now completely obsolete, since that's basically what the Elimination Chamber is now.
Completely different
Not really cause Armageddon has everyone fight immediately, there’s more space to roam so they can get weapons and leave the cage, and no eliminations so it’s constant chaos in trying to pin your opponents as well as stop them whereas in Elimination Chamber you can just read a book or something while you wait for your opponent to pin another opponent.
I think that WWE nailed it with that match Triple H vs The Rock vs Rikishi vs Kurt Angle vs The Undertaker vs Stone Cold for the WWF Title sounds like gold on paper but I would’ve taken out Rikishi and replaced him with Kane in that feud.Rikishi didn’t feel like a main event player and really felt like a upper mid card act.Triple H,The Rock,Stone Cold,The Undertaker, and Kane were all former World Champions of the business at that time and of course Kurt Angle was the current World Champion during that time.Kane and Undertaker could’ve had a nice spot where they set aside their differences to take out the other contestants and delivering a Double ChokeSlam to Kurt Angle. And almost placing both The Rock and Stone Cold into ChokeSlams simultaneously.
Same match,more formulaic
The problem with the EC is that you have to let 5 guys put one guy over by way of pinfall/submission. While the 6-man HIAC allowed Kurt Angle to retain without really knocking down everyone else's standing (besides Rikishi).
The asylum is basically WWE's version of the lethal lockdown stipulation from TNA. The match was pretty good in my book.
Me and my brother argue about that match all the time. He loved it and I absolutely hated it. I just think that it was overbooked and everything but the end spot was boring
I agree as it was a lethal lockdown match you can't really say it was only ever done once. Ditto the Hell in a Cell match at Armageddon there have been plenty of Hell in a Cell matches some with multi man involvement.
@@aiden5831 I loved it but thought it was a bit too long
Lethal Lockdown was TNA's version of War Games
I always assumed that the Asylum was an intention rip-off of Lethal Lockdown and was named in reference to TNA's old home, the TNA Asylum.
Armageddon in Hell in a Cell match is one of my favorite matches. I still play it in old games until now. Hopefully they bring it back in a big match in the future.
Funny how WWE just uploaded the House Of Horrors match a few minutes ago and this comes out lol
It's a conspiracy 😂

@LastDropFalls Come on man why so serious. They are just joking.
@LastDropFalls It's here on RUclips, posted on the official WWE account.
@LastDropFalls yes it was dumby
Man the 6 man hell in a cell will always be one of my favourites of all time and always brings back a lot of nostalgia of when wrestling was actually good

I loved the chamber of horrors match. Especially the end when he just starts fighting the ghost looking people! 😂
WWE should definitely do a 6 man Hell in a Cell again
They still do if you regard the Elimination Chamber as an upgraded version of it.
@@colindaniels945 I actually love the elimination chamber. Especially the tag ones too 😂
@@yosmith100 You'll have to explain the rules of how a Tag Team version of the chamber works.
@@colindaniels945 same as a regular chamber. 2 teams start off. Time does by and people come in. Both members have to be pinned to be eliminated.

I’m so sorry. May your Dad Rest In Peace ❤
Soon is your mom single?
I liked the six man hell in a cell match. I surprised we never saw another match like it.
I loved that match it had everything and more fun fact about 10 years later they had a 5 man hell in a cell match the problem it happened after raw went off the air
Same
Elimination Chamber
Got to include the Elimination Chamber
In most of the cage matches today they always take a massive pause to throw in table, after table after chair, after, garbage pail, after Kendo stick. Having the weapons inside attached to the cage and above the cage just works better without having a massive pause or someone lying down for five minutes while someone loads the ring with weapons.
IMO
And somehow ended with Hogan murdering a man" i found that funny i don't know why
And a massive lad called the ultimate solution" had me balling with the many jokes you could make with that
From an ironic standpoint I will never forgive Jericho for killing Mitch.

*5:09* - "BARBED WIRE ELECTRIFIED DYNAMITE POOL DOUBLE HELL DEATH MATCH" 🤣
The 6 Man Hell in the Cell Match was brilliant. Though I'm glad it only happened once, it wouldn't have worked again.
3:53 the Giant came back to wrestle that same night after dying
That was the strangest thing to me when I looked up what exactly happened. Like as a older kid/teenager I was starting to put together that wrestling was a total work, but at the same time, why are you telling me a dude died and the person who clearly shoved him off the building wasn't immediately arrested. Hell even if Giant didn't die that can still be an attempted manslaughter investigation.
Then I realized that wrestling is a stage show, and it made even less sense to me because now why are you making me question a damn stage show then?
Armageddon in a cell should be a match that should return one day.....
Either NXT will do one or AEW will have a spin-off like with the Blood & Guts match, which is really a War Games Match.
@@Rusty2FTW it's not basically it is wargames just under a different name cause wwe owns the name to wargames
It basically does in February every year, but better
I love this match one of my all time favourite matches
👀 oh god...
The idea of the last rites match sounds like it should've been done by WWE with Taker
There was a "Last Ride" match with Undertaker vs JBL which was like an Ambulance match except with a hearse, and in addition to that the hearse had to be driven away by the winner.
Lol I figured it was
The last rights match would have been great between abys and another death match wrestler . Then again , sting did say he likes hardcore matches .

Wrestling Society X actually had a Piranha Death Match. It was from one of their last few episodes.
No one remembers WSX, so I don't blame anyone for forgetting.
@Jigsaw Angel Warrior I don't remember. It was a pretty fun match. WSX was pretty entertaining overall. I am lucky enough to have the DVD boxset. Need to bust it out and rewatch it.
I was trained by a guy who was on wrestling society x.
I remember when Big Japan did the piranha death match
It never aired, but was included on the DVD. Along with an exploding cage death match.
The Cry-Baby match makes sense if you were watching at the time or at least watch the storyline play out now. It was the blow off to the 123/Razor feud that had been going on for a while, and with the way 123 was acting, the stipulation made sense.
That match would’ve worked pretty well with Bret and Owen Hart because I mean they were presenting Owen as the jealous brother who was jealous of his older brothers success.Bret and Owen could’ve had a nice feud if WWE treated it better.Bret vs Owen for the WWF Title would’ve been a cool feud with Bret destroying Owen.
@@tehjboney4249 I mean there feud was good
But you had the interference from a Texas rattlesnake
Bret leaving for wcw
And owens death (r.I.p)
It kind screw everything up over
I actually would like to see an Armageddon six man hell in a cell match today
I don't cause it be so pg
Tbh, considering how PG and boring normal hell in a cell matches are now (being kept in the cell, basically being a glorified singles match where you can throw dudes into steel mesh), putting more people in it would be fun
“Abdullah stayed dead for a couple of minutes, then got up and beat up a load of weird ghosts😭”
“First ever serial killer 8 man tag in the main event?!”
I would pay for Peacock to see that
the triple cage match could’ve been great
King and DDP made it work lol
@@DanBarnett0727 lmfaoooooooooooooo
Love that movie
Ready to Rumble had one didn't it?
I think the closest thing i've seen to it that worked well enough they did a few were the old NWA matches, one was like the something dome and had like a multi cage thing you had to work through and then fight your way to the bottom to escape, and was normally like a 5v5 thing where one wrestler from each team went in at a time, and then I remember an old NWA ppv where they had like a big cage around two different rings, and you fought from like one ring to the next or something, i dunno was pretty entertaining
Kennel from hell could work if you book it between two guys who have made the entire locker room hate them and then instead of dogs use lumberjacks.
Why would I want to see lumberjacks try to hump each other?
soooooo a lumberjack match. 90s WWF had those.
@@gorkskoal9315 a lumberjack match but in a cage, I guess
So, Cena vs. Reigns.

The Asylum was used again for the Adam Cole vs Johnny Gargano 2-out-of-3-falls-but-really-it's-a-3-stages-of-hell match in NXT
The Asylum match was kind of the spiritual successor to the December to Dismember 2006 Elimination Chamber that everyone hated. That was never done again either.
WWE should bring back things like the “Parking Lot Brawl” or “Boiler Room Brawl”, Lions Den and so on. I think they’d do well now with the cinematic stuff.. plus it would bring some life into an otherwise dog shit product (Raw is unbearably bad as of late)
But you can’t get under the ring and get weapons
Parking Lot Brawl would be amazing to see again and to be honest the WWF Hardcore Title could’ve been presented a lot in those matches and imagine seeing Al Snow vs Mankind for the WWF Hardcore Title in a Boiler Room Brawl and Parking Lot Brawl.
The last time they did a Lion's Den match, it didn't turn out that well
@@MasterOfViewership there’s several I’d book in a Lions Den match. Lesnar vs Lashley would be a good one.
Dolph Ziggler would be great to book in a Lions Den match.

The Armageddon hell in a cell has been done multiple times. It just became the elimination chamber.
The Ultimate Solution debuted as The Final Solution and had the name changed once someone nudged WCW execs and reminded them of a little thing called The Holocaust. He was also the late Jeep Swenson, who played Bane in Batman & Robin.
That's MR. Jeep Swenson.
He played bane
Played Bane, and also died before the movie was released
Armageddon Hell In A Cell match: Because calling it "Cluster**** In A Cell" would be too obvious. (TBH, I really enjoyed that match. It was really fun to watch)
The king of the road match was pretty hard-core. Even if the truck was going under 20mph that's insane
I never knew about the electric chair and the forklift matches. That’s insane.
Chamber of horrors match is my first pro wrestling memory. Saw it on uncle's VHS and was hooked. Without that match I might have never got hooked on the product

The problem with the piranha death match as a concept is that piranha actually aren't as inherently violent as we've been led to believe. They're voracious when they start to feed, swarming in schools of dozens to strip things as large as cows bare in minutes...but they normally ignore humans. Like sharks, they need a trigger (namely, blood). Otherwise they'll just swim around you. And, of course, like 6 of them in a tank barely big enough to fit a person in, even with blood there's maybe only room for one of them to bite while the others are squished against the sides of the damn tank.
It's a concept that works on paper if you want to sell extreme violence but just will never work for real (though honestly, do we really want it to work for real?)
They did one in WSX. They mentioned on the DVD commentary the guy who went in dropped antacid tablets in the water to make it look like the piranha were swarming him.
@@marcpower4167 And it was the fakest looking thing in a company that thrived (? I don't know if we can say it thrived when it was dead before the first season TV deal even finished) on suspension-of-disbelief special effects bullshit. Like, I remember the matches on that show being insanely good. A lot of early examples of modern wrestling style, with all the athletic flippy shit and the high work rate and the spot monkey stuff (mainly because the show as a half hour and they didn't have time for long matches. You had 5 minutes for both guys to get their shit in, so it was just go-go-go from the bell), but it was also batshit insane with stipulations and the special effects needed to pull them off. Which, often times, they had to half-ass because they didn't have the budget to literally C4 the arena every single night! Meaning we were left to use our imaginations and a lot of shaky cam to make-believe that there were actual bombs going off every other match, or someone was being electrocuted, or some other fantastical nutbaggery.
The voice over by Adam here is genuinely laugh out loud funny
FMW's exploding cage death matches were insane. I love them. XD
A little fun fact - Wrestling Society X (a wrestling promotion ran on MTV in the 2000's) had a piranha deathmatch, but apparently they actually used different fish lol. An absolutely funny promotion, WSX was.
"Raging climax" will never not sound dirty
I'd like to remember that the asylum match kinda happened again as one of the stages of the 3 stages of hell match between Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano
Love how Adam riffs on the asylum match its funny to me because WWE essentially made a lethal lockdown match with no roof and used the old TNA arena name as the name of the match and its more funny cause lethal lockdown matches were epic in TNA so hardcore cage matches can work
San Francisco 49ers match: On Nitro late summer of 2000, Booker T fought Scott Steiner and there were four boxes in the corners, one with the vacated World title.
Tag Team Royal Rumble. There have been many tag team battle royals, but late June of 1998, they had the first and only Tag Team Royal Rumble on RAW.
"There was no need to combine hardcore and cage match"

I would be interested how some of these matches would look as cinematic or empty arena matches
Absolutely, I'd love a cinematic-style King of the Road match
Quite a few of these matches could work as cinematic matches
Also the 6 man hell in the cell is actually one of my fav matches of all time. Has a great replay value too
I miss the strap match, the one where you had to beat your opponent down and touch all four corners in succession to win.
The Last Rites match had a problem with the way it was supposed to end. The casket with someone in it was too heavy to actually be raised back up.
I liked the chamber of horrors match. Halloween havoc 91 is probably the wcw ppv that I've watched the most, just because of that match.
The Triple H cast match was never used again. (Devised by Austin when he was CEO)
Thank you for remembering my friend Mitch. He had seedlings. 😢
10:53 I will need to remember this quote
That Ambrose asylum match was a close thing we have for an attitude era moment.
WWE may as well never do Hell in a Cell again since they killed its meaning in 2019. When you grow up and realize that Hulk Hogan was wrestling's biggest villain and the Heels wanting to end him were justified in the end.
The Chamber of Horrors match was awesome.
The Steiners did a top rope ddt on Foley. It was sick looking.
all ima say is .... that im shocked that they had a couple different opportunities to perfectly fit in a 6-man hell in a cell match into some storylines around 2007-2010 and never attempted to do it tbh
The "Coal Miner's Glove" match deserves honorable mention. 😆
Expecting San Francisco 49ers Match, Viagra on a pole match to be in this list.
San Francisco 49ers match has been done a couple of times with different names: one was "coal miner's glove".
I know I comented on that before, but it is a pet beef of mine. The really weirdest thing about that monster truck match was that they sold the death of the giant for the entire PPV and made a huge thing about it to a point where all the other matches got overshadowed by it. Plus Hogan - who kayfabe thought the match was off as his opponent was dead - showed up in full ring gear with music and everything just to act surprised when his opponent wasn't dead, but still appeared for the match.
3:35 - And they're pushing, and pushing, and pushing, and pushing
And pushing arounddddd
...yep. Yep, this is *exactly* what I thought of when I saw that match made it on the list. XD
So you watched that episode of Wrestling With Wregret ?
King of the road is kind of an interresting concept; competing in a moving vehicule full of hay is not a totally bad concept that could have been worked to be both entertaining and relatively safe if you can manage to prevent wrestlers to throw each other out of the truck without using hard steel.
i wanna see a match like that but where the looser get legit thrown out of the truck while its doing 75 on the highway
We need another Dutchess of Queensbury Match!
I’ve been watching wrestling since I was eight years old, back in 1966, I wish they would bring back old school wrestling, if I want to see acrobats I’ll go to the circus. Now I watch it with my son in law and my grandson, I have shown them matches from the sixties and seventies, I told them I remember watching Stu Hart wrestle
I actually sometime Use Armageddon Hell In a Cell in my WWE 2K18 ECW Series.
I really miss those days... wish we could go back for one day🤷♂️
Just spit my coffee out. Who thought naming a wrestler “the ultimate solution”would be a good idea? LMAO
At least it wasn't the Final Solution...
@@John-Stark While not often used that way anymore, "ultimate" is also a synonym for "final" as well as "best". See "penultimate" meaning "second last".

Armageddon 2000 = 6 men HIAC two frases the real wrestle fan knows as one of the greatest match in history of the WWF/E and it doesn´t disappoint in any way, maybe there´s to much going on but to much is what wrestling all about. There were Cars a hay-truck and Vince trying to kill all of them. In other words FUN, FUN, FUN ;)
Gotta love the British humor and accents...a bit of naughty rumpy pumpy 😆😂 13:10
After seeing the Al Snow interview where he talked about the Kennel from hell it just makes me mad, he told them they needed trained dogs many many times. They didn't do that and because they didn't a potentially great match was ruined.
Actually, it should never really have been done in the first place as I’m really against animals being used for live stage shows and otherwise since the big audiences and lights stress them out.
Not to mention that whole angle the match was a result of (Big Boss Man stealing the dog and cooking it WTF).
I've never heard "rumpy pumpy" before lol made me chuckle 🤣
NXT did a cage match full of weapons tho... Sure, it wasn't CALLED the asylum match, but still
Hell and the cell at armageddon was hands downs the best match during the attitude era

The six man hell in a cell was crazy from start to finish, in a good way
I witnessed that 6 way HIAC match live... Glad it’s been that unique LOL
When you dubbed the Last Rites Match "Utter bollocks" 😂😂😂😂😂
Damn, Japanese are hardcore.
Backyard Wrestling: "I'm going to smash this glass light across my opponents back and then jump on him from the roof."
Japanese Wrestling: "I'm going to feed my opponent to a Piranha."
Damn, Japan, you win.
That 6 man hell in a cell was better than any modern hell in a cell that now have interferences and DQs
But its in a cell there cant be any interference. Sorry couldn't type that with a straight face.
DDP and Raven had the same basic idea as the Asylum match in 1998 at Slamboree and it was pretty good.
Yes they called it the Bowery death cage.
Asylum Matches shoulda been done a few more times before Dean left. The one with Jericho was just too insane.
