My husband and I just moved from Vancouver WA to Las Vegas. Quite a change, we miss all of the places you are, Depoe Bay, Lincoln City, Astoria, Seaside... it was wonderful living so close to them for about 8 years. At the ocean I am like Roxie and my husband is like Barron. I love the beach. Tell Paul he looks very good in his hat. Hope you continue to love your area. You all look very happy. Also, try Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay! And the cheese corn at the Caramel Corn store!😂 Ya know what? Just eat your way up and down the coast!😂 Be sure to visit Depoe Bay in the winter. Sometimes the waves crash up on to the highway!

Oh that's looks wonderful! It reminds me of summers on the coast of Maine when I was a kid. We went to visit my great Aunt & Uncle on an island off the coast. I loved watching Roxie, she was having a ball, my Zelda would have too! My daughter's dog Snickers is part dachshund and he doesn't care for the cold either! Zelda would bounce around in the snow and Snickers would stand at the door saying "Let me back in NOW"!!!

My dad fished out of Depo Bay during the late 60’s and 70’s. A limit of salmon was 3 fish per person and sometimes he would bring in 12 to 15 fish. The Oregon Coast can be 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the valley during the summer.

Oregon has micro climates like California and Washington state. The further from the coast the hotter it is in the summer. We are getting a heatwave next week and it’s going to be in the mid 80s for two days where I l live and 14 miles inland where I work it will be 100s degrees for a few days. Roxy loves the sand! Maybe one day you and Paul can actually move to the coast (ocean) part of Oregon?
