Ha my boots, what a great surprise! Thanks so much for the great content and service, very informative. You're right, they are very comfortable out of the box. I do also have a pair of their Dragons which are Goodyear welted, and they do feel 100% different. Break in took quite a while whereas these were great right out of the box. Totally different feel. I commend you on the quality of your work, you would never know that these didn't come right from the factory with the Dainite! As much as the inserts are great, the weather here just requires the full rubber outsole. Thank you gentlemen!

Great review as always! I keep learning so much from you two and your frankness and honesty is so refreshing. I’ve been looking at purchasing these boots because I really like their styles, but was waiting for your review regarding quality of their construction. I think I’ll order a pair and see if they are comfortable.
I bought a pair about 8-9 months ago. I decided to wear them last week. At first, they were comfortable but, the more I walk I could feel that something was wrong. Then I looked down, my right foot kept going inward. I almost got a panic attack. So, we came back and try my Meermins, walked a while with them on. Everything was alright. I wish I could get my money back but, it's been a while.
I dropped by y'alls shop this past Wednesday and got to meet your Dad. What a pleasant gentleman. Bought some Renovateur and showed off my 'Ebay Challenge' shoes (Allen Edmonds New Orleans for $50).
Hey guys, I don't actually believe these are Chelsea boots at all. The title is incorrect. These boots are not slip on boots with elastic/rubber, but feature a buckle instead. Check out 3:40 - you can see the buckle and profile of the boot a bit better. These are Jodhpurs. In fact, here’s the link to the boot on Taft’s website: taftclothing.com/products/the-dylan-boot-in-black-new#the-dylan-boot-in-black-new
I have 2 pairs from Taft. Got them on separate years during their Black Friday sale. They don't sale half sizes. My first pair which was their Jack boot, I got a size 12. I wish they had a 12.5, would've been a perfect fit. It's slighty tight on the wide part of my right foot and causes discomfort after wearing them a while. My second pair which was their Rome boot, again size 12. This time it was a perfect fit and could wear them all day with no issue.
I got the Dragon 2.0s last year and I had a problem where the heel of the right boot was too tight on one side. I've never had that problem before or since on any other boot so I assume it was a quality control issue. Anyway I put leather conditioner on the inside there (the outside is waxed suede so it wouldn't work there) and when I placed a shoe tree in I put the back against that spot hoping it would stretch out a bit. It took about 9 months of wearing them 1-2 times a week but they're all good now. Though I didn't start using the trees or the conditioner for the first few months. I was new at nice boots and shoes. But yeah, leather conditioner and shoe trees. Hope that helps.
@@DubbleM900 thanks, I might have to try something like that. The Jack boot is wool, at least the part that ends up uncomfortable. Maybe I have to stuff the inside to try to expand it.

Hey guys! I have a question, how does one go about getting shoes with a fiddle back/beveled waist resoled? Is it possible to have this done and maintain the shape or do they need to be replaced with flat soles
I'd be interested to see a review of Thomas George boots. They're a small Australian company that gets its boots made by Fugashin. It seems like they're trying to do a similar thing to Thursday -- good quality boots at a lower price than the competition (about the same price as Thursday). I bought a pair of their stitchdown ones and love them so far, but I'd be keen to see how they compare to other brands out there.

Interesting information (& I’m a lady...)👍😺😃
catips Glad you enjoyed! We appreciate you watching.
Eh, maybe Taft is a pass for me.
The leather on Taft shoes feels plasticky. Similar to Stacy Adam's, with similar uncomfortabilty.
Taft... all of there boots look super weird and fake.. they just do wayyy too much.. its like if H&M put a good year welt in that crap they put out..
I think chelsea boots are ugly.

These aren’t Chelsea boots btw.
@@ianturnbow7011 They are. It's literally in the title of the video.

The title is incorrect. These boots are not slip on boots with elastic, but feature a buckle instead. Check out 3:40 - you can see the buckle and profile of the boot a bit better. These are Jodhpurs. In fact, here’s the link to the same boot on Taft’s website: taftclothing.com/products/the-dylan-boot-in-black-new#the-dylan-boot-in-black-new
I bought a pair about 8-9 months ago.
