Love it, thank you so for much for your thoughts and insight on ACA. I hope to get to meet you at the six figure conference in Salt Lake City and MedicareCon in Vegas!
Thank you two for the valuable information! i am just acquiring my health license si i will miss this certification period . when will the next certification period open?
If you are in the Medicare space, AHIP is still open! If you are looking into doing non Medicare health, there are tons of products you can offer outside ACA
How are you getting in touch with people that qualify for ACA and what are you doing to get in touch with them?.. looking for tangible information: I'm out in the field ready to go, how would you suggest I start getting clients?
My favorite way to find those people who qualify for ACA are from building referral partners. Other professionals such as home & auto insurance agents (who get asked all the time about health insurance), financial advisors (who are working with clients who want to retire before they turn 65) and competitors (ex: someone who only writes Medicare but not ACA or a captive agent that only writes for a specific company but not ACA). There are other ways such as buying leads or running Facebook ads. Best wishes on building your business, huge opportunity ahead for ACA as Medicaid unwinds
Sorry about the sound quality, bummer that I cut out a few times! I've been in the Health/Medicare space for about 8 years now... about 60% Medicare, 40% U65
You can build a book of business on solely referrals and no leads?? Can you list more more examples of kinds of referral partnerships? PS it’s very hard to hear Malia, just FYI for the future
Yaasss!! I've never purchased leads & have built my book through referrals. So many other huge referral partners I didn't get to mention: CPAs, Community Service Workers, Carrier Reps and I'm sure there are more I haven't even thought of yet. Sorry about the sound quality!! I'll remember next time to put the mic closer & also I think we were having internet issues. The closed caption may help!
@@christianbrindle having a health insurance license isnt enough? Is the FFM something you have to study for weeks for like AHIP or the health license?
This is a wonderful video and I thank both of you for putting it together. I hadn’t thought of financial advisors! My question for both of you is what is the best way or ways to connect with referral partners? Do you send letters with business cards attached along with a brochure detailing your services and referral payback, bring donuts, what??? Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and experience! Thanks for taking the time to watch & for your feedback! Best way to connect with potential partners is to put yourself out there & stay visible! Get involved with the community, attend networking events…schedule 1 on 1s with potential power partners. Work on sending referrals…ask quest to uncover needs that your referral partners can solve…people look at you differently if you are a referral source for them.
@@lsb9881 Yep! It sure is. Its not that different from Medicare renewals. I mean, if you have 100 members on the books, you will have $2000-$3000 a month coming in.

Big fan of Malia here. Can’t wait to hear her teach at Medicare Summit.
She is going to crush it!
Wow, thank you, the feeling is mutual, Carlos!!
Hoping to see you at The Summit!! 🥳

Great video Christian thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Great interview. Ty both.
How do we know if someone’s insurance cost through work for the family would be considered unaffordable where they would be eligible?

Thanks for sharing Malia! Great video!
Malia is awesome!
I want to start selling marketplace insurance. I am certified already. Where do I log in to sell policies? I’m not Familliar with this.
You have to get contracted first! And take the FFM Certification.
Like you guys, Great Video, Thank You for sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good info; great video!
Thanks Jerry!

If you mean the conference, then yes!

Who would we contract with to do dental for members?
We can help with that! There are lots of good carriers for it. It all depends on your market and who is good in what areas.
@@christianbrindle Ok great! Thank you.
I couldn't hear her, but how many years in the insurance industry? How did you get in insurance? Is your BOB primarily ACA or Medicare?

How does an agent get set up to offer these policies?
They have to do the FFM certification and then get contracted.

@@SummerBaby728 you can do the FFM certification in a few hours! Not difficult to pass at all & it's open book

What’s the commission?
It depends on carrier & state. Usually between $20-$30 per month per member.
@@christianbrindle Is this all ACA agents do? That's super low.
