    I like watching Butterbean, he is always moving forward, when he swings and connects, it doesn't look as fast as it is.

    Eric Esch is a legend, so entertaining back in the day. No one should ever make fun of him, for a man his size he had good head movement, stamina and very powerful! Like a tank coming towards you.
    He fought at a good level for a very long time, he was over 300 pounds when he fought!, try sparring in the gym with 130 pounds on your back. I bet you can’t.
    Butterbean was pure entertainment and pure class. Respect.

      I can’t even imagine what a shot to the ribs from him would feel like. Once I had a semi truck tire (100psi) blow up about 3 feet from me and what felt like a solid ball of air hit me in the gut, knocking me 6 feet back right on my ass with my head spinning. I’m 250lb. That probably isn’t much different than a Butterbean punch.

      Butterbean, I love how he goes swinging. He his slugger style so simple yet them hooks, straight jabs and liver blows, man head hunts like crazy, but he built like a fortress.

    Can't imagine being hit by a 300 lb monster swinging what adds up to kettle balls. He is thick. His head is on a 8X8 post. Very difficult guy to knock out. Your only hope was to get him too tired to lift his ham hocks. Loved watching him.

    He was definitely an enigma in the sport. Back when boxing was actually a sport I guess and not that sort of insanity we had the other day that amounted to a multi million dollar nothing bucket.
    It was always interesting watching butterbean's fights. He might of been a larger guy but he really did use it to his advantage, that extra weight being carried through the shoulders and down the arm delivered some absolute sledge hammers if he got it lined up right and he often did.
