I can't wait for the snow! I want to be out there in my t-shirt plowing for the first time in my life. Normally I'm all bundled up and have ice running down my hat!
I know someone who will be doing snow removal in a T shirt this year, and unfortunately its not going to be me 😂. We do have a plow on the 2006 f250 but the tractor just makes much easier work with the 8' pusher. Im really hoping the snow will hold out for a bit this year, The site work for the new building starts in November and the actual building starts in December
You've got that right. I have heard these little heaters really heat up the cab. I've thought about a plow for our F350, but the maneuverability would be pretty poor. It would be like trying to plow with a school bus! :) Can't wait to see your new building progress.
Good video! That heater ought to make plowing snow a much better experience. Wish we got enough cold and snow to need a can and heater but alas, an AC would be a better investment for me.
I'm looking forward to lots of snow this winter! I do know that there are some aftermarket air conditioners out there for these older sub-compact tractors. I think they're a bit expensive and complicated to install. And I think they'd probably chip away at your horsepower a little bit. Thanks for watching!
@@PurpleCollarLife yeah, I’ll probably never go that route with this tractor. Maybe when I’m older I’ll upgrade to a cab tractor but for now, this one will do. Thanks for the reply - it’s sure good to see your channel growing!
I have the same heater it works good when its snowy and cold I will bring my tractor up from my shop and park it right behind my basement door because once you get the tractor warmed up the heater will boil you out of the cab on high only thing I did different was installed my heater on the other side
Thanks for sharing! I think I'm going to really appreciate this heater. I've been plowing in the cold for decades. I actually thought about using the other side too - since it would be in front of the loader joystick, and wouldn't be on the open side of the cab. But the instructions all showed it mounted on the left side of the tractor (when seated). Thanks for watching and commenting!
Cool video and product, I need the air conditioner version down here. I'm with you, I do the same thing, put off projects thinking they will be very difficult, finally do them and then hate myself because I waited so long only to find out it was an easy fit or install or whatever.
I have a x738, with same setup, the fan seems weak and barely defrost half the window and I have top vent open. The only switch that works is small one by the heater and not from box on ceiling of the cab.
My fan seems to do a great job getting the window cleared. Now - it hasn't been super cold yet. No mornings below 20F so far here in northwest PA. We'll see how it does on the REALLY cold days. When I installed the heater, I opted not to install the switch on the heater - and just use the switch on that switch panel. Thanks for watching! I didn't realize there was a cab for the X738!
Hi Ryan. There's no need to disconnect the hoses. I don't remove the cab in the summer. I just take the doors off. And when you install the shut-off valve like I did, it keeps the hot fluid from entering that heater core, so the heater doesn't put out heat. Thanks for asking the question!
Sorry- I don't have any part numbers. They all came in the kit from Curtis Cab. But I do see that on page 2 of the pdf for the instructions, it does have part numbers curtisindustries.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/John-Deere-2305-and-2210-Heater-9PH20S28-Rev.-J.pdf
OK np I'm hoping they got the part numbers figured out , my biggest problem is I'm putting a heater in a f1145 front mower tractor with a Yanmar diesel and of course that temp sensor is a metric thread so finding a T fitting is a pain.
Bonsoir mon ami 😊👍 You are going to over spoiled mon ami and I do think that your wife may want to plow and use your tractor this winter 😏🤣👌 Very well installation video Sir 🧐👌 You will be on business now Sir Cheers 🍻👍😊
Hi Chad, I just finished installing my heater and I have the same leak that you did on the video. I have plumberʻs tape and tightened very tight but still leaking. What did you do to resolve the leaking. Thank you.
I'm not sure about that. Are you looking for replacements? Or are you trying to build your own heater? Here's the contact page of the Curtis Cab website: curtisindustries.net/contact/
@PurpleCollarLife I did email them too. Do you happen to remember what the sizes are. Like was the fitting a 1/8 or 1/4 inch? And what size was the radiator hose coupler with the fitting? 1/8 inch npt fitting ?
Smart of you Chad to be ahead of the game. It is was also nice of you to do this for Jennifer!😇
Nothing beats A cab and heat. 👍👍I really enjoy mine makes plowing out in the snow much easier

@@PurpleCollarLife 👍 we had our first snow 2 weeks ago now. More this weekend also time to start plowing it all
I will be thinking of you in your warm cab when I'm pushing my Ariens walk behind blower this winter in NW MN. Great install.
Thanks, Joel! I am looking forward to a very WARM winter of plowing snow. :)
Great install of the cab heater! You'll be nice and toasty while doing cold weather work! Cheers!
You got that right!
Good idea to get this job done before the snow and ice fly - it sucks trying to get something like this done when you are in a hurry - cheers
Exactly - I knew if it got much colder, I wouldn't want to be out turning wrenches. :)
Nice and easy install!
Sure is!
Looks good Chad...clean install.
Thanks 👍
Good idea!
Thanks!
Thanks, very helpful.
You're welcome!
Looks great! 😎👍 🚜 Great job on the install as well!
Thanks 👍
Heyhey Chad nice job. i am gonna need to get something close to that for my little cab so I can try to enjoy heat. LOL Take care my friend

I actually had to back it out, clean the threads, and then re-install it. That took care of my leak. You're going to love having the heater!
@@PurpleCollarLife Great, thank you! Canʻt wait to try it.
Where did you buy the t coming off the temp sensor housing do you have part number
Hi Jim - it came with the heater kit from Curtis Cab. Thanks for watching! The heater is amazing on cold days like today (8 degrees outside!).
Do you know if you could only buy the coolant fittings?
I'm not sure about that. Are you looking for replacements? Or are you trying to build your own heater?
