Long shot as this is an old tut... but I am having sound affector/range mapper issue using R20. I have my nodes set, and when I press play, expecting the drops to be affected by the range mapper, all my distance values in MD Generator drop to zero and cannot be adjusted - even changing the output Upper... Adjusting Output lower to 0.1 creates strange pulsing lozenges ... I get a strong pulse of all the drops, and then they stop generating (due to having no distance parameters... Is this an R20 bug with a solution?
I've been enjoying this and other tutorials of yours - thanks! I do have a question about how to change the speed of influence that the sound has on the motion drop effect. What I mean is something that acts like a spring damper in dynamics, but only on the values being sent from the sound effector to the motion drop plugin. Something different from compressing the sound file in the effector - so a drum hit, for example would take longer to reach it's peak value. Using the dynamics in the motion drop settings would change the shape, wouldn't it? (and that's not what I'm trying to do). Any help from you or others most welcome!
great tutorial!, I wanted to know how you edit the multiple TIF files at the end, do you go one by one on premiere pro or there is an easier and healthier way to do it?
Hi great tutorial, My music track is playing twice, only one track is playing a frame behind so it sounds like it's stuttering along. Or it is in fact stuttering along. Any idea why that would be?
Thanks so much for the tutorial. Is there any way to add two tracks? For example: Drums and guitar (two files) and set two groups of motion drops? i try it but the song sounds not sync
I have got two questions: 1. I haven't got any sound on cinema4D R14.042. Do you know how to fix that? (I'm running C4D on a mac if that is important) 2. You've got a XPresso Tag on your motion drop object when you open, I didn't. do you know why? Hope you answer, thx
go to the window tab, customization > customize commands, in the top left toggle the "edit palletes" box and under the name filter type in "sound" and put any of the buttons you want
EndlessFX Hi man... Thanks for your answer. This would help me a lot, because t's been a long time since I have done that and I've allredy forgot... BTW, thanks :)
That's because your machine can't keep up. But it's normal. You need to render it out and then mix the render with the audio in an external software like After Effects.

Have you tried adding a field to the sound effector? By default there is no fall-off in R20 and above.
great tutorial!
love your work.. so helpful
very nice will be using this one thanks homie ......
Full HD like a BAUS!! Good info here thanks!

Thank you man help a lot! but how can i make it look almost like 3d motion drop!

+Boris Meier Sàlvia i gues songs don't sync in the editor but will on the final render.
Xpressions stop the the motion drop from moving at all for some reason?
Could you move the motion graphic timeline so like the first 10 frames theres no motion drop then at the 10th frame the motion drop starts ?
I am using this for a visualisation. Is this ok?
Really can't find Motion drop download page? where can I see? and where is add chart? no idea
Can`t you have te speed connected to the sound effector?
thank u ~ :) in Republic of Korea
thx! :)
great! x)

Yeah I cant hear anything inside cinema 4d too
go to the window tab, customization > customize commands, in the top left toggle the "edit palletes" box and under the name filter type in "sound" and put any of the buttons you want
I got an answer if you still need it! You will need to have the sound in a Wav file!
when i import sound its really bad quality the sound jumps around how do i fix this
you are brazilian?
Português ;)
hi i have a short question ^^
how did you get the soundtrack to the program?
I show it right in the beginning. Use the sound effector.
mymotiongraphics ah ok thanks ^^
I connot get my music to play in R16 even as a wav file... and i went in animate and checked it to play and everything any ideas??
find mp3 to wav
+Devon Demeester Hi, free audio software Audacity ( Win or Mac available ) will help you to transform your mp3 file to Wav, or invert ;)
It doesnt play any sound how do i fix this?
I can't find the download page. When I look on the website, it says "page not found" :(
+ZuSi please try again: mymotiongraphics.tv/downloads/motion-drop/
Scoll down and add it to the cart
thanks
When I put the 6 motion drops, the audio starts jumping, how do I solve it?
+Raphael Gonzalez you don't. That's your computer trying to keep up. Your render will be ok though.
Can you help me? I'm using Cinema 4d R14 and I can't hear the sound when I press the play button. What can I do?
Under Animation make sure Play Sound is checked

Arnon Games™ np I'm glad i could help!
This makes my song skippy, any fix?

You need to render it out and then mix the render with the audio in an external software like After Effects.
Another thing you can do is go under Animation>FrameRate>and uncheck All Frames
Thanks! This is an awesome tool. Here is my test : ruclips.net/video/eV83qW9j1Fg/видео.html
