For anyone that's new to Granblue, it's not a series of games like Tales or Final Fantasy, it actually started out as a web browser game and then they adapted it into an anime and manga series. So other than Granblue Fantasy Versus, which is a fighting game like Street Fighter, this is the first rpg they have made for consoles.

Or at least not enough, imho. I already know the dynamics among the crew and there's a lot of "oh cool, they're just like how they were in the original" moments, but when I try to frame myself as someone who've never known these characters, they're bound to feel rather stiff and seems very stereotypical. Not to mention the fact that they're thrown together all at once. I just hope people with no GBF experience can force through this part somehow AND the next part of the game expands on individual characterization of the crew more. As it is right now, I find little reason for new players to find Katalina, Rackam, Eugen, Io and Rosetta to be interesting past the "stereotypical group" Like, throw in some quick flashbacks of their most emotional moments or something.
some info from mobile game will likely added to glossary like in Versus. some place that mentioned in prologue like port breeze (first island gran and co visit and where they met rackam) is yellow colored so there is likely glossary menu in game also the fate episode will likely help player to know the characters.
They can watch the first two seasons of the anime and that should give a pretty good introduction for the base crew. The anime was what got me excited for this game. Never played the mobile and wasn't a big fan of the fighting game, so I was stoked to hear this was coming.

Dude, this game is taking forever to come out that the graphics are starting to look dated. It doesn't matter to me though since I am fine playing old pixeled games. But still do we really have to wait over half a decade when they first started to show off the trailers and gameplay.
This video confirms ill be using Japanese audio and english subs. The older i get the less i can stand the squeky side kick voices. No hate tho, bc the game looks awesome
question is, did they implement the class system and weapon/element system from the original game. would be cool if they did but it makes no sense to make a system thats only usable for one character.

You honestly have no idea how different this game is from arise lmao, it's not even close tbh, arise is just skill>skill>skill>skill> vice versa for aerial skills, where as in granblue, every single character has mechanics and or gimmicks that you need to know/pay attention to, to make them way more effective than just mashing buttons or doing skills at random.
The combat and the art style is top notch. But I hope they can add an option to mute that non-stop talking red flying shit. If it's BG3 that thing will be my first thing to kill to start off my journey.

Is there a way to toggle off the Art bar besides the Charackter? I know it's a visuel hint. It seems to be the same use of it like in XBC and they just put it right in the corner.

Looks like they adopted the Tales series formula, especially Tales of Arise, and made adjustments. It's looking really good.
