You just saved me from Warm1 !!! My S90C came with a heavy green tint in both Warm settings that was extremely obvious in skin tones and background "blue" skies. I've spent over 5 hours googling and reading and googling... Everyone defaults to the "you just need to adjust"... But, with the settings provided here there is no more green and BT.2020 is finally useable! Thank you so much.
Before finding your settings, I was actually using the "Intelligent Mode". Surprisingly, it provides a unique picture and color that pushes Pop without being too Cool. Plus i think it adjusts per scene...
Thank you
Moved from the native setting to bt2020 on my s95b, i didn't even notice the custom option, thanks a lot!
These settings are absolutely ‘bomb’ 65 s90c with 1st gen panel, in HDR the colours are identical to my iphone 14pm…highlights just pop out of the screen. You’re incredible. Thank you soo much. 🙏🙏
Absolutely loving my S95C 😍
You save my life : with Contrast = 38, and Color Space = DCI-P3, finally Apple TV then said: "Your TV's color balance is correct. There is no need to calibrate it at this time." I cried with joy :) THX!!
Eh he said don’t use p3 so why are you all happy with a smaller window of colour? and contrast 38 for SDR this whole videos about HDR ??
@@scottish-atechreviews Error: you're right, my comment was about the video "Samsung S95C QD OLED Complete Settings Guide | SDR | HDR | PC | Gaming"
Thank you!!! This 2020 option and your settings have done a lot for making skin tones look more natural and less like putty on the s95c. Keep up the fantastic work. You’ll be my first go to for settings when I get a new TV down the road!
Explaining this to me as a Samsung s90c owner is very informative, but I am certainly happy enough with my s90c as it is. I am not a bluray disc user or gamer at all, I only use streaming, so that may be why I am missing the point. But. I definitely gained a lot of knowledge from this video about color spaces and tech. Wow!
try it. You'll see the difference, Especially in Red Color.
I've tried most of the popular recommended CMS settings for S95B, using both these S90C settings for Standard and Game mode is the best it has ever looked.🎉 Subbed!❤
What is the most popular CMS settings?
On the AVS forums. Different calibrators settings
I have s90c gen1. Tried different calibration settings for bt.2020, always got color banding. Decided to try these settings, did not expect anything, but wow - now I have pretty accurate gradients! I still have some banding in yellow/green gradient, but It is visible in DCI-P3 as well
Good stuff, finally someone cleared this up.
Great video. So BT2020 on TV's is essentially in beta currently. Colour spaces should be both accurate and automated based on what the content is graded at.
It’s an awful lot of work I just got the S90C coming from a C1 and make these purchases strictly for gaming. I was a Samsung qled buyer before the c1 and loved the brightness and vibrancy and color pop of them and when I went to the C1 it was a better picture but lacked that vibrancy, so doing a ton of research on the S90C and 77” gen 2 panel I was excited about combining the best of both worlds but it has taken a lot of work of turning things on and off adjustment this for that and sacrifices in certain areas to come to a place with the unit that I feel is acceptable. Because it is intensely bright but in certain hrd modes grass is neon then switch and the brightness is reduced tremendously to me, hrd mode off game bar features are all there, with it on options are reduced, I like where I have it now but not love it, your videos have help me understand and I appreciate it but it’s been a lot of work, so thanks for your help. 👍
I just ordered one myself, can you tell me what changes I should make to mine? Im going to be using it mostly for gaming on my ps5 and pc, and watching sdr content on my firestick.
@@BoredInTheComments I literally used every setting he covered including changing the red green blue measurements, the one thing I do leave on for the most part is the contrast enhancer to low it just makes the image specifically the colors and brightness pop off the screen you will see the difference instantly. My recommendation is load up a really good 4k hdr game like Spider-Man or whatever game you have on just toggle that setting on and off what the game is running to see what I’m talking about, of course that’s my preference. The only game I turn it off on is pga on the series x it makes the grass neon but everything other game I’ve played on both PS5 and series x, hope this helps.
Hi thx for all your content I bought an S95C and you are the only one gyving these tips on how to improve quality.
I have a question, what's happen forcing BT2020 and using the auto calibration option available with this tv? Thx for the reply have a nice day
It's heartening to see that you've been able to get through to Samsung on this. I'm still loving my S95B with BT.2020 community CMS settings, but it's beginning to show a touch of burn-in from way too much of the same video game. Hoping your efforts bear fruit before the S95D or E rolls around.
How long you had the tv?
@@Cagefighter Year and a half now, have one from the first manufacturing run. Around 600 hours playing Apex Legends has the health bars just barely visible on dark grey slides, but never elsewhere. Meeting my expectations very well :-)
@@random_n perform manual longer compensation. This is what it's all about to get rid of those first signs of bur in.
Finally! Thank you so much!
Love your channel, Classy. A couple years ago I asked you about the Sony X90J and you said it was fine but flat, overpriced, I was fairly new to even mid range TVs so it looked good to me. 2 years later I see exactly what you meant, sold my X90J, and my budget is higher now (about $3,000, so A80L, X93L, S90C, QN90C 75-77 inch). I looked at the X90L, a big upgrade, but still a flat picture in movies. Tried the X93L and it’s a top contender now, a lot better and more depth, also tried the A80L, but man it doesn’t get very bright and Netflix shows like Community looked AWFUL, green faces, weird red blotches, tried every setting I could to fix it, but couldn’t. Now I’m giving Samsung one more shot (had 3 Samsung TVs over a period of 8 years or so all fail within a few years), have the S90C and QN90C coming to try next, if they impress me I’ll go back, but I also may end up with the X93L.
Anyway, thanks for your videos, this one will be super helpful for me in testing out the Samsungs starting tomorrow. Also, any idea why the people on a show like Community looked so bad in the A80L? They looked a lot better on the X93L, a lot cleaner and more natural, I tried the built in Netflix and Netflix on my Roku ultra and both were bad. 🤷🏻♂️ The X90L actually was similar for this show, could it be the XR Clear Image over sharpening things? Like I said the X93L didn’t have this issue.
Ridiculous the knowledge!
Good shit bruh.

Rtings found that after the latest firmware update the s95c game mode now tracks eotf correctly. So we don't have to lower the st2084 settings like mentioned in your previous videos anymore?
I'm getting the S90C thank you I will try these settings
Hey Classy Tech, a new firmware (version 1220) for Samsung S95C came out in October 10, and it should supposedly make the PQ EOTF tracking in Game Mode more accurate, but there's still a bump in the shadow region. Could you make a video on it with updated settings for Game Mode?
thank the guy instead! Rude!!
Just tried your recommended settings for the color on the S90C and wow 🤩 it kinda reminds me of Sonys color with these settings. Either way I like it.
Great information! You’re the first to figure this out!
Can you share sdr and hdr settings for a s90c gen1?
Thanks Classy.. awesome in depth training info!!!
Why are the bt2020 settings for movie and gaming so different?
And how do i know if your settings are better then the standard bt2020 settings?
Thanks for the info 👍
Thanks for settings now my 77s90c is perfect
Classy is the A95L a night and day difference to the S95C and G3? Is it a tv you would buy over the other two?
So what I got from video is that Samsung engineers are lazy and not with the times , maybe new management is needed at the head of the engineering department
They CAN do better than this !!!😡😡
Thank you, classy, you're just a champion, mate,
Warning: Owned a S95C for 6 months of heavy gaming use and it has permanent extreme burn in. Had to get it repaired (which was under warranty). The panel has issues in the gaming space so if you want to buy one for that i recommend against it. Had to buy a qdoled monitor now that the technology exists that suites my needs.
You are a legend man my colors are so accurate no on my 77 in 90 c
I don't quite understand the point of the P3 mode.
If everything is in a BT.2020 container anyway, then surely an accurate 2020 mode would look identical in P3 content to the P3 mode.
So what's the point of artificially limiting the colour production. It doesn't seem like you actually gain anything by doing this and you're losing out in the content that is 2020.
I understand it can't be accurate at the edges of 2020 due to not covering the whole range but that doesn't sound like a big enough issue to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
I mean if BT.2020 content will be inaccurate regardless of what you do so atleast displaying what colours you can is preferable.
Think about it, you don't see TV's measuring 90% of P3 limiting themselves to SRGB for no reason so why do it here.
It seems like the only problem is the BT.2020 mode is less accurate in P3 but there's no logical reason for that to be the case.
If Samsung can make an accurate P3 mode then why not just use those values in the BT.2020 mode.
I honestly can't make sense of it, Samsung's logic makes no sense, just because 90% of content is P3 doesn't mean your colour gamut should be. And if they're worried about accuracy make the BT.2020 mode more accurate. It especially makes no sense as it's not like Samsung have ever prioritized accuracy of colour pop before so why start now.
This is just one of the countless baffling decisions Samsung make with their TV's.
They could honestly be the undisputed king of OLED but they're their own worst enemy. Colour gamut & volume are two of their big wins over LG's panels so why squander that advantage like this?
Btw: I'm not saying Samsung should scrap the P3 mode, I'm sure there are instances where it's legitimately useful but if any mode should be buried in the menus it's this one.
Hey Classy, thanks for the update!
Looking to finally pull the trigger on 65” display. C3, A80L or S90C. Reliability is a factor as I’m still rocking a 12 year old ZT 60 Panasonic. I like the Sony option as I think I’ll add the HTA9 system but your experience and guidance are valuable. Thank for your time!
The A80L is a solid all around option. The S90C has the highest performance of the three, but minor motion concerns and streaming content quality isn't as good as the Sony.
@@ClassyTechCalibrations Wonderful, thank you again! Any thoughts on the Gaming viability on the Sony? Will I/we be happy gaming on the Sony (PS5 & Series X) vs the competition? I appreciate your time.
@@DandCentertainment gaming would be considerably better on the S90C.

@@ClassyTechCalibrationswhat about drop outs while gaming? Huge concern or not?
A great mystery with Samsung the color space setting. I have a qn95a, which is a fairly bright neoqled tv, i set it to native when watching hdr content, and auto on sdr content. That's the best of my knowledge.
@Classy Tech - I've had 2 Samsungs before I gave up and went with Sony instead. There was and probably still is no way to get BOTH Chroma 4:4:4 AND sRGB - AT THE SAME TIME, when using a Samsung TV with your PC. You have two options. A: Set input to PC and you get 4:4:4 Chroma, BUT you are also LOCKED into the oversaturated and Native colorspace which sux big time. B: If you set input to Game Console, you do get the correct sRGB/709 colorspace BUT you only get 4:2:0 Chroma. In the end I just gave up and went with Sony, color spaces, chroma 444, color accuracy etc, all things just work and look right, especially in Game and Graphics picture modes.
Thanks, Classy! I'd like to be sure that for the S95C, in movie mode, red and blue value under the blue color were not inadvertently switched as they are reversed for the S90C.
Nope, they are correct.

So when watching HDR movies should I just keep my s95c settings on auto DP3. BT 2020 looks oversaturated especially the reds.
Great video! Had my s90c calibtated in bt2020. Its now very accurate with saturation turned way down.
Why isnt sammy using bt2020 as default? All the new dvds coming out are mastered in bt2020 i cant even recall a recent release in dci p3.

Wow !! Sooo happy😊 that setting works perfectly on my s90cd. Would you have any recommendations for movie mode ? With no hdr im having hard time figuring this out.
Which of these CMS settings should we use for the 77” s90c with the gen 2 panel?
What differences are you seeing between a Gen 1 S90C and a Gen 2 S90C?
Interested in seeing if Samsung improves this in the 2024 models 🤔
Any settings you recommend for live action sports and to improve the motion processing?
Hi Classy! So can we conclude that if we use your calibrated settings for bt2020, we should rather use bt2020 color space than p3?
Very informative video thank you and subbed 👍
Can I use this setting on my WOLED S90d?
very helpful - thank you
Under colour gamut, have bt.709 with no option to change it. (s90c)
Have to be playing HDR content for P3/BT2020
Thank you for this very educational material. I really like the image on my S95c, but I don't fully understand how auto color shifting works. By the way, after the 1220 update, did you notice a decrease in brightness in HDR games and did you change the settings in the PS5 console menu? Thank you and best regards.
awesome, thank you classy!
Just a quick question, can we use these both on pc and consoles? And for the pc input, should we leave it as pc or should we change it to console or home theater? Btw, I'm so happy you managed to release this video before Spiderman 2. Thanks a lot for your work
Hey classy why is the picture brighter, colors etc when i put in the settings for bt 2020
Followed your G2 journey. Have an 83" G2 coming Wednesday, replacing a 77" CX. Obviously, I am concerned about the screen uniformity issues you had with yours and the reduced brightness. After delving into this, is it accurate to assume that no 83" or larger OLED panel is without compromise? I like the clean wall mount look of the G series, but I really wanted 83". My use cases are sports, classic films, plus some other varied content. No gaming. Should I just stay with 77" where there are a plethora of options? If so, G3, S95c, or S90c? Have a bright room, but I can't see myself straying from OLED. Think A80L might be too dim, although I hear it has great upscaling, which is important to me. Great video. Learn a ton from your stuff. Thx, and I appreciate any input. Excellent channel, my friend.
So for say the s90c with a 2nd gen panel, like 77 or got lucky with a smaller one. Would it still be good to use the s90c settings or s95c settings?
The S90C settings
Great video 👍
Hey do you have recommendation for the SDR colour range calibration? it feels like it lacks a bit of colour to me
Hi! thank you so much for your recomendations, very thankful. One question if you have some time, for SDR we dont change nothing? or we need to put the same "color 18 and tint g1"? and another comment, I have samsung oddysey oled monitor, and I am using this similar settings because I can't find another person I trust. Someone here have recomendations for this monitor? I think the panel its very similar to S95C. Thanks all of you!
does the same apply to s95b?
Would like to know this too
I just watched this and used your recommended settings for Game Mode and my screen looks a bit better...Thank you. Question though, should the ST.2084 settings still be at -1 for ST.2084 and Shadow Detail at -2? I got those from you Game Settings video a while back when using P3 for the Color Space.
Yes, as stated in the video other settings from the settings video apply.

Hi! I have a 55" S90C with second gen. panel (the same as S95C). Should I use the settings for S90C or S95C? Thanks!
Is the 77inch S90C any different or more inline with the S95C settings? Or should we follow the S90C settings
This is all so confusing. Is there a video of the exact settings for everything? I don't own this TV yet but I am looking at getting it in the future.
I have a 77inch S90C. Most likely 2nd gen panel. Should I use the 95C settings or 90C?
I have a Samsung Odyssey Oled G8 monitor and have been using native color space with the saturation reduced in hdr off the reccomendation of a reddit user. Saying custom and auto were both broken in the firmware. I can't tell if that's still up to date or if I should be using custom bt.2020. It's supposed to be fairly accurate out of the box and most reviews didn't mention an issue with the color space settings.
Thank you for all the work you put in on the S95c. Personally, I have the impression that the colors after applying your settings are less saturated than with the auto settings with the slider to color 22.Could the Ps5 console settings be affected by 20 clicks. (Ratchet and Clank Game) Or is it just the correct luminance and saturation that is lower in BT2020. Best regards
Hi Classy I am with S90c 77 inch version and because is Gen 2 panel i am confused which settings to use
Can you go to Custom, change from DCI-P3 to BT.2020, then go to Native or Auto? It shows under Native or Auto after doing the first step that it shows BT2020

Usually samsung tvs refer to the mastering display data (like mdl) instead of content metadata (like cll).
There are two different primarie related types of metadata
1. "Color Primaries" - (content related)
2. "Mastering display color primaries" (mastering display related)
Samsung is ignoring the content metadata, right?
I'm not sure which metadata is displayed by some of the uhd players.
Metadata of colors is not used to change gamut on any display. All HDR content is displayed in BT2020.
@@ClassyTechCalibrations but bt2020 hdr- content can be graded with p3 primaries (rec2020-p3) or bt2020 color primaries (rec2020), right?
The latter will be displayed correctly by samsung tvs in the bt2020 mode I assume?
The problem is, samsung tvs ignore the content metadata and refer to mastering display data.
But with all the mastering monitors restricted to p3, mastering display metadata will always show p3 primaries and therefor samsung tvs will always limit to p3, like you said.
Samsung should finally reguard content metadata instead of display metadata
@@Sven-w9l P3 is targeted for most color grades in HDR however it is still done within bt2020. On a Sony for example it will always just stay in BT 2020 and have accurate color for both sets of primaries. On Samsung if you switch it to BT2020 you just have to calibrate it while targeting the P3 primaries. That's how it should be done. The metadata is very often wrong and even when it's not again it does not trigger the TV to switch gamut at all.
@@ClassyTechCalibrations thx, but I'm a bit confused.
Content can be graded with
rec2020-p3 (p3 primaries), but still exceed the p3 gamut? Thought the color primaries define the max gamut of the content.
Again, I'm referring to the content mastering, not the display's capabilities and "mastering display color primaries"
Do games use bt2020 or p3 primaries (bt2020-p3) or can it differ?
@@Sven-w9l there are plenty of titles with P3 primaries in the metadata that exceed the P3 gamut.
There are some games that exceed P3 and many that don't the same with movies.
Basically just think of the P3 primaries as a target guide for colorist but they don't always land within that space.
what the story with 83" Class - A80CL ? at Costco , but they never carry the flagships Sony
Does this apply to QN Mini Led TVs? Maybe other settings. Thanks.
All you have to do for those is just switch on BT 2020. They don't really need other adjustment, but that's because it makes barely any difference on those.
Hey Classy, I am currently using HCFR when calibrating my S95C can I use the Calman Home for LG to manually calibrate my S95C or should I use the Calman for Samsung? Or is HCFR good enough? Thanks!

Hello Klasi...do these settings correspond to the samsung s95b...is it from the s95c or from the s90c??
He gave settings for both the S90C and S95C in separate columns in the table.
I realized that right away... do these options fit the s95b??
@@borisstakic The S90C’s settings might be close if Classy’s S90C’s panel is a first generation QD-OLED panel. I don’t know how well or badly the first and second generation panels used in different S90Cs match. Also, to match the S90C’s panel if Classy’s S90C has a first generation panel, you will have to update your S95B’s firmware to get your TV’s tone mapping algorithm to match the one in the S90C’s firmware which ships with the updated algorithm which not all S95B owners like.
It was a no-brainer that Samsung's auto mode on the default p3 worked perfectly. It was an obvious one that I have been defending for years, since this debate is not new.
On the other hand, attempting to calibrate, using a rudimentary CMS system that works poorly, a 10-bit color space of one billion colors that is tremendously inaccurate seems like a joke to me.
You can improve it, and there will be colors that obviously improve, but others will not and there will even be colors that will get worse, and some graphs with a few saturations are not telling even 1% of what is happening there.
You simply cannot calibrate an inaccurate color space using a malfunctioning CMS. That's a joke.
The P3 option, auto or personal, at the end of the day is the option with which you will get a more accurate range of colors.
If you are baffled by the wrong statements of rtings (I am too because they are wrong) I am also baffled that you try to calibrate an inaccurate BT 2020 color range using a rudimentary CMS. It is simply not possible and its measurements do not reflect even the 1st of what would be happening there after calibrating an inaccurate color range.
That's because it can't be calibrated using conventional workflows and I spent a very long time developing a new workflow specifically for the way the Samsung CMS works. It's the method I used to calibrate the S95C at the TV shootout where it did very well and most of the time matched the Sony A95L while it was in BT2020.
