What a huge help for a beginner dulcimer player such as myself!
Happy to be of service! Thanks for watching!
Hi, Ben - a radiused fretboard makes it easier to barre chords due to the shape of our fingers. No sound difference per se, but ease of play increases for sure!
Thanks
Thanks for this tutorial, Bing! I think you got all the basic info in there and it was fun to watch and listen to, as well.
Jan Potts Thanks for watching, Jan!
Enjoyed it, Bing...... yes, Maurice Chevalier and Haley Mills, 1962 remember, Every little breeze, seems to whisper, "Louise".... used to love singing along with Maurice....... wasn't that before your time though?
If you ever edit or redo this segment I would enjoy you running through the relative minors for these 1-4-5’s
That's a great suggestion! Thanks for watching!
Great video Bing. Explains a lot and easy for me to understand. Where can I get a capo like that.
Cheri Martin Thanks, Cheri! That's a Dudley Brass Capo - google them online and there are a few places that have them. Sort of pricey, but well worth it!
thank you. capo practicing
+Lisa Romie Great job, thanks for watching!
What's the sound difference between having an arched fretboard and a flat fretboard?
Mr. Futch, do you know where you can get a Dudley capo like this. I have had no luck while google searching. I would appreciate it if you know of a source for one. I love you videos and have learned much from them, thanks.
Thank you so much! I've heard that the Dudley capos are hard to find now due to his health. I've heard that he's not doing well and also that he has passed. I don't have concrete info - but these capos are most definitely hard to find right now. If you find one, GRAB it!
NAFcollector Walworth makes a Dudley design type dulcimer capo. They retail ~$45. Not an endorsement, just fyi.
