Just purchased this group for my titanium Moots Routt RSL all road bike and to say the least, it is fantastic! Love it! Came from Campy Super Record mechanical. Now considering the Power Meter. Thanks for the review. The glass is always half full, not half empty. Ride safe and ride often.
Well that sucks.. 😅 I can imagine how you feel after you found out the new PM has different crank arm interface and have to wait another 8 weeks for the new one
Alright Ron, old video, but got questions for you... The Quarq Dub crankarm, is it the same as the red axs d1 crankarm? It has the same pricing, but the quarq dub crankarm specifically describes the spider compatibility being only the Dzero dub and the Dfour dub PM spiders, while the red axs D1 crankarm is compatible to all Dzero/Dfour dub PM spider and Red/Force Axs chainring and all Axs powermeter.
@@ronykuba So you're saying if I currently run Force AXS 2x but want to drop some weight I could replace the crankarms with Quarq Dub crankarm and it will fit the spider without issues? That means it should also fit the Quarq AXS powermeter spider too, right?
@@josefchabab1185 sorry, but that’s hardly data. If you want to take out the guesswork, I suggest inquiring here: ronykuba.com/product/ideal-gear-ratio-calculation-consultation/
One random question....is the AXS Spindle removable from the crank arm? I'm considering a Cannondale Super X (with the Pain in the butt BB30A 83mm Wide BB) .... it would come with a normal 1x Sram Red AXS DUB crankset. But the BB is so wide that there is only room to run a 1x. I'd like to swap the bike to 2x for road/gravel season then back to 1x for Cyclocross....I know Sram makes a special 'Cannondale Ai' Version of the AXS cranksets..... I'm hoping I can just buy a longer spindle and swap it as needed rather than needing to buy a whole second crankset>
Are there any solutions to use a DUB power meter with GXP spindles yet? I have a BB90 bottom bracket and SRAM Force 8-bolt crank arms. I wonder if Force crank arm 8-bolt base is any different from SRAM Red like in this video
@@ronykuba Yup, I’m interested. So GXP or DUB doesn’t matter as long as cranks have an 8-bolt pattern? I guess something like PM-AXS-SPDR-D1 should work then, right?
Hello; I have a question, I just got a bike with this new 12 speeds red AXS with 46/33T chainrings including the powermeter, I do not like the pace, so I woud like to try the 50/37T chainwings. If I buy the chainring set without the powermeter, can i swtich it from the old 46/33T set? Thanks for your help.
Ronald Kuba Yes... Thanks for reply. I was just making sure that I understand correctly because it just does't make sense to me. Next question please: Did I get it right that you're trying to combine Red crank & Force 107 BCD spider with powermeter?
I just installed the power meter spider on my 2020 Domane SL7 eTap (force) and I am having a lot of trouble shifting to the large chain ring. I’ve tried replacing the 3mm drive side spacer with a 2mm (the smallest sram makes) and it didn’t work. LBS spent an hour tinkering and wasn’t able to get it shifting reliably either. I feel like I’ve exhausted my options. Anyone else have similar challenges? Throw the stock spider (no power) back on and it works great.
Probably too late now. But I had exact same issue after LBS swapped out force axs spider for the power version. Could not shift to big ring. It was caused by the LBS rotating the small ring 180 degrees accidentally. Maybe re-install power meter and pay attention to ring placement.
Ronald Kuba yes AXS power meter and red cranks, but my derailleur is force 1 double tap mechanical I love it very fast shifting, having the crankset installed this week
Stop giving them your money Rony. This generation of 12 speed groups was really the 'jumping the shark" of new components. It's sickening how little respect these companies are showing to their customers. 11 speed groups offered much more cross compatibility and choice for the consumer as you demonstrated with you Etaop groups across your various bikes.

Force&Red 2x&1x chainrings are in stock at the swiss distribution. So are the Red GXP cranksets. Blame your distributor
True
trek is the first big brand making bikes with T47bb
I hope they will redesign theyr bikes with T47
The better solution is to just keep using Red and forget about AXS. Easy and cheap.
Hi Ron, I just got the force AXS spider. Are those plastic covers over the chainring bolts? Mine doesn't have those or any chainring bolts. Thanks

What do you think of 50T 1x in front with the 10-36 cassette in the rear for allround road use?
Depends on your terrain and fitness, but doesn’t sound great in terms of efficiency.
What cassette ratio would you recommend for 1x with 50T in front?
