“An explanation of silence” OOR was supposed to tour with Linkin Park in 2017 when they released this album Ambitions contain this song. But before the tour Chester passed away. At some Ambitions concert they used it as a moment of silence to pay respect. And Japanese audience created it with the utmost respect.
One of the best parts of this song with reactions is the whole moment of silence and them all basically commenting on how quiet it is and is it an empty stadium. And then being shocked once its revealed it so isn't empty and is like 50k+ people :). That the moment of silence was for Chester from Linkin Park as came out around the same time frame and they were supposed to tour with them before Chester passed away. Due to Chester was one of the big influences of Taka's. With Chester being one of the two inspirations of his that lead him to go from pop to rock music. Other being Kellin from sleeping with sirens.
I'm from Germany and was at a few concerts of them. The venues are much smaller here but it was amazing every time! Sadly at least at the ones I was at there have always been a few people yelling at Taka to continue singing during that pause of the song.
Never heard of this band. Really nice sound. Thanks for giving this old guy some decent new music. This band along with that all female band and that hardcore band you reacted to a couple weeks ago. They have a Netflix special about how they wanted to stream a huge online concert during their lockdown in Japan. They rented a baseball stadium and had set everything up and almost had it ruined by a storm as it would have made the stage too wet for the performers. The performance they put on were incredible shot. So many camera angles and lights that you’d almost think it was professionally shot in Hollywood where they can do retakes, etc, and not actually a live concert where anything can go wrong. Please give it a watch.

Many songs and its lyrics came from Taka that relates to his past. Taka even tho coming from a well known family in Japan music industry (both parents were popular singers), they did not go well together. Taka dropped out from school to pursue his music career and that caused fights to break out with his parents. After that family warmth was never the same. Taka left the house and went on to live with his grandmother, working part time then lived alone. In the end his parents divorced. Taka wrote a song as an apology message to his parents - Nobody's Home - every time he sang it during concert, he cried. Taka also have a little brother, Hiro, he is the lead singer of a band called My First Story (MFS) which had similar music but a bit stronger and metal-like. I recommend everyone who likes OOR type music to also check them out, MFS is a great band. His brother was often got compared with Taka because of Taka's success, the similarity nature of their voice (of course they are brothers), and music genre. In the end, they were not close as well. Taka almost never had any music featuring whatsoever with his brother Hiro. His family background was quite heartbreaking so he puts a lot of his feelings and emotion into writing these songs and we can see his voice breaking almost every single time singing them. We can feel what he felt through the songs, and that what makes OOR such a wonderful band.
Thanks for reacting to my band. The vocalist is called Takahiro Moriuchi, Toru is the guitarist and is the leader, Tomoya is the drummer, and Ryota is the bassist. Taka and Toru are the ones who write and produce the songs. In "take what you want" Taka tells us the story of his family. He says that he does not want anything from his broken home since his parents divorced and that affected him a lot, Taka also left home at the age of 15 because he did not get along with his father (he is a very famous Japanese singer , his name is Shinichi Mori), I tell you that his mother is also a very famous singer (Masako Mori). Taka's father didn't want him to have a rock band, he didn't support him with his dream, that's why they were long distanced. Taka also has a younger brother named Hiroki, he also has a band "my first story", just this year they spoke again and luckily now Taka has a very good relationship with his family! please keep going with oor reactions and welcome to our family ♥

I don't think I saw anyone mention this, but the song is written about his parents as they supposedly had some kind of a falling out during the making of this song. Which makes sense as to why he was so emotional during the performance. Their other live performances are also amazing, listen to whichever one you'd like ! His parents wanted him to learn to sing and taught him from a young age, that training plus their genes have given him a special, special voice. However, it wasn’t always great. They started entering him in Japanese idol competitions and that just wasn’t what he wanted to do. He wound up falling out with his parents and left home. He was living with his grandmother and working in a restaurant when Toru (the guitarist) found him and convinced him to join this band he wanted to form. I've known them for the past 10 years now and I've been to 2 of their live shows here in Brazil. I can never emphasize enough how much these guys are amazing on stage.
I was fortunate that I was able to see them live in Los Angeles during their North American Luxury Disease Tour. After seeing them, I regret not seeing them at another near by venue. I was hooked from the very first song. The are extremely talented. You can feel the passion and emotion from their music and especially from Taka's vocals.

No.. the band name is ONE OK ROCK. The band's name comes from "one o'clock", the time that the band used to practice their music on weekends. They chose to play at one o'clock in the morning because it was cheaper to use the rehearsal space during such hours.

I don't know if anyone already mentioned this, but in the comment sections from other reactors that were reacting to this specific live performance of that song said that this tour was during the time Chester Bennington from Linkin Park passed away. I think Linkin Park was supposed to perform with them and the silence in the beginning was for Chester.

No.. the band name is ONE OK ROCK. The band's name comes from "one o'clock", the time that the band used to practice their music on weekends. They chose to play at one o'clock in the morning because it was cheaper to use the rehearsal space during such hours.
ONE OK ROCK has been found at last!
