You don't know about motorcycles, mechanics etc. Me neither. You're now my go to guy as I have myself a new 2023 himalayan and am hoping to get my licence soon. Looking forward to more of your uploads😊
Honestly this..... I like that he makes videos as if we're both in the shop together just trying to figure it out together. That's how I learn best too.
If you use a valve stem core remover (the ones that looks like a screwdriver but with the valve stem core removing profile), removing and installing the clips is easy. You only need to push one of the legs down and out it comes... Install, insert one side and push the other one down into place... Now we also have the option of using the Royal Enfield Super Metero 650 LED headlight. It will require adding a H4 connector but that is also a simple mod.
The small wire you disconnected saying it was for the high beam is actually the little blue tinted key on light below the H4 on the sock headlight housing. Great video. Just found your channel, and it is pretty funny how relatable it is. I just bought my son and I Scrams so I can teach him to ride and am working on talking my 5'4" wife into a Classic 350.
Looks pretty good! The Himalayan looks great without the windscreen like yours, I think. Appreciate the proper compairson at the end too, hope it serves you well on the road 😁
Oh yeah, I'm not a fan of the look of windscreens in general so I knew I had to take it off. I wish the headlight cowl from the Scram would fit on the Himalayan.
@@CurlyWolf_ It is a pretty nice cowl, i've always pictured it as the modern take on the Bullet 500, with its own unique cowl. Any reason you went for the Himalayan over the Scram? If I had the choice, I think I still would go with the Himalayan myself 🤔
Mostly because I'm impatient haha. The Scram was still a couple months away when I bought my Himalayan. I also like the colorways of the Himalayan more than the Scram. So I'm just basically turning my Himalayan into my own version of the Scram. We have a video coming out soon about switching out the silencer and I mention in there that I would love to do a high swept scrambler style exhaust like the Triumph scrambler has.
@@CurlyWolf_ Ah fair enough 😆 Yeah that silver/brown goes together nicely! If I was to go Himalayan I think it'd either be that one or the Lake Blue colour. A high swept exhaust will definitely give it a great old school look, hope to see it someday! 😁
Good video, I bent the little springs so they would apply more pressure but not sure if it was needed. I used the Jeep headlight since I wasn't worried about a retro look I just wanted more light since my commute takes me through a dark two lane mountain road. As you found the whole process is pretty easy and it made me wonder why I waited so long to do it. LOL BTW I actually used that plug for the city light to power my USB charger since its a good key on power source.
It's definitely a steep price. I honestly got it as a gift. I will say the build quality of the whole unit is way nicer than the stock. I'm not sure but I think eventually you could get the headlight unit from the Super Meteor and use that. It would probably be cheaper.
I definitely like the amount of light it’s putting out on high beam. Would be curious to see what it looks like coming down the road considering it only uses half the diameter of the light in low beam. All in all though, I like that it still resembles an older light. It’s Good find!! Good helpful video Dude!!
Looks Good Curly! I happen to like the older yellowish amber lighting myself. That bright white office style lighting illumination never impressed me. But if it means that the wack job vehicle drivers can see you better or you can see your surroundings better, than that's the ticket. Headlamp cost?
I do agree that the yellow light looks better. They say they're working on a yellow version. Or you could put some yellow tint film on it. It is a bit expensive. It's $185. However unlike other LED headlights it's all glass on the front and a really high quality metal in the back. They also have a bundle that comes with a new bucket with different finishes.
I just cut the OEM one with a dremel and then sprayed it black with some headlight tinting spray. If I were to do it again, I would probably leave a little more to it.
It sure is a nice light and looks great but it's not worth $185 nice especially it has a split light when lit. Thanks for your video though. Money would be better spent on aux lights IMHO.

Beki is 5'1 and loves her classic! It's a great choice.
@@CurlyWolf_ Thank you for the feedback.
Good Tip:- Always test the lights Before you Tighten everything up! You never know!
Good video 👍🏻
I build PCs too and everytime I tell myself to test it before I pack it all up...and then I don't...Sometimes we never learn our lessons haha.
There's a teeny tiny rubber boot that fits on that tab at top of the light ring, if you lose it, the ring will rattle.
Great videos man!!!! Keep it up!!!!
Thank you!

I like a brown seat a lot so the Mirage Silver was the only choice for me.
Thank you sir
Lot's of mental & physical Hard work done 👍
Thank you again 🇮🇳🙏

Ohhh that's a good idea. I ran my usb under the tank to the battery but to the light would be much easier.
I love the retro look but man $185 seems kinda steep considering I got a DZG H4 bulb on Amazon for $20

I definitely plan on recording some nighttime riding soon with the light to see how it does.

@@CurlyWolf_hey Curly, not sure if I've missed it but how have you liked the LED upgrade, and how's it doing at night?
I fitted an old car fog light lens to the old casing very durable
Cool vid and cool light going to check out that cycle shop for me a headlight for my himi
Brother thanks is it problem for stock battery
Haven't had an issue at all with it.
Looks Good Curly!

Hey men great video, love the windscreen, did you modified the original or it's a custom made?
I just cut the OEM one with a dremel and then sprayed it black with some headlight tinting spray. If I were to do it again, I would probably leave a little more to it.
@@CurlyWolf_ thanks men definitely gonna try to modify, for sure that solve the buffeting
looks like it free up some electric also around 18 watts looks like and thats alot with only an 18 amp food if it doesnt compromise lighting
Oh definitely less power draw. I haven't taken it out at night yet but will definitely post something about it when I do.

Thanks for doing this. I appreciate the comparison between the old and the new. I would be interested in this unit except the price is ridiculous.
Yeah that's the general consensus. The price is really high. I will say the quality is really high as well.
