    Beautiful country …a lot different than what I’m used to. Great video bud.

      It’s wide open, sometimes seems overwhelming deciding where to make a set… I guess that’s what makes it a challenge. Thanks for the support

    Thanks for the information; I am new to trapping in middle Georgia. All information is very helpful.

      Good luck on your trapline in Georgia! I know our terrain may be different from your area to mine, but the principle is the same. If a trapper can get the trap under the animals foot, you stand a pretty good chance of consistently catching them.

      Thanks Brent, I definitely get rambling sometimes, and I’ll try to keep that pointless info to a minimum. As always I appreciate your support of my channel

      That’s awesome! Trapping for me is constantly learning, and getting different perspectives, and different trappers will set things different… good luck out there I hope you get what you’re after!

    Hi Jeromy. Loved your video. Thanks for another GREAT one. I love your instructional videos, however, I still love to see your "catch" videos, and especially your bobcat "catch" videos. As you know, I am trying to learn how to catch a cat or two myself, and have been frustrated with empty traps for the most part. Maybe I need to come and go with you again and get a refresher. 😁 Good luck with this winter's bad trapping weather.

      Hey Zach thanks for watching. Coyotes are one of the easiest animals to learn how to tan. I’ve tanned quite a few, and they turn out great. It’s a good idea for a future video.

      That is awesome! I know the real estate looks different down South, but the principal is the same. It took me quite a few years to figure out how to catch cats, but once I did, they are by far the easiest animals on my trapline… except for muskrats I guess Lol

    Great video love seeing that beautiful country your trapping. Great advice on blind sets. I must have missed the video on you making skunk essence and Vaseline. Can you elaborate and do you use it for a calling scent for coyotes

    • @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790
      @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790  8 месяцев назад

      Hey Jeff! I think it was a trapping tip video on making homemade lure. The video just shows the castor and Vaseline, but I make two different lures with the Vaseline. I mix castor and Vaseline for one lure, and skunk essence and Vaseline for one lure. I use it for beaver, and bobcat mostly.
      The skunk and Vaseline is a little too loud for these coyotes around here. Most of them only come around the set, and don’t “work it” with real loud smells.
      I honestly don’t use any “call lures” I try really hard to try to get the set right where the animal is already going to be walking. I use a lot of urine instead of loud smells. Great to hear from you!

    Nothing wrong with a bunch of blind sets ! The Ol' Wolfer's didn't run 500 dirtholes to make the big catches and neither did the high number cat guy's ! Beautiful cat country your in ! Im a bit jealous !
