I agree. I've been looking for a Front & Rear bumper guard and I was thinking about that one. Ty for helping me decide definitely not 👌

My 25th Anniv Sienna got rear ended last month. Its very minor but I got small scratch in my rear bumper. So now I will be installing my double layer bumper for added protection. I got in trouble with the main bolt but after watching your video, problem solved. Thanks man!

Update: I just installed the double layer blackhorse and it doesnt trigger the rear sensor.
I'm very pleased with result. Although it doesnt really feel sturdy, but it still gives added protection and peace of mind from minor bumps

You're very welcome dude. Glad it helped!! Definitely worth extra time spent in recording then. Those M12 bolts threw me off as Toyota never had those installed. Black Horse Offroad didn't respond to my question when I asked them so I had to source them out myself. I'm guessing you did as well

That's very interesting! I might see if they can do an exchange for the double layer for me then! Thank you for the update.

Did you install the Highlander or sienna version of the double layer bumper guard. Can you post up the part number? Thanks.

What is best solution? How about the thick Licence plates?

It’s an interesting product and you definitely put in a lot of sweat and tears installing it. But I don’t think it’s gonna work well even if a sedan hits it. The two connecting arms are too thin and would likely just crumple upon impact, and push the outer ends of the product into your gloss black rear trim panel.
Also I am not feeling the mismatched curve against the flattish rear bumper. Just looks really aftermarket. Sorry.
Isn’t there a bumper guard that you can dangle from the rear hatch when parked?

Thanks for your input! Yup I’m a bit disappointed in the protection. I spoke to an owner of the double layer and they have to turn off the rear sensors.

Yeah this isn't it. As much as I wish there was more protection for the bumper this isn't it for me.

      Sadly it isn’t 😔
