Man so much you're saying here is spot on to me, and something I think about often especially in the generational paterns part of the video. I'm an American married to a Brazilian girl and people seem to think it's crazy. Where I grew up there weren't any non-white people. My family has lived in that area before the USA was even officially the USA and the farm house that is still being used by family today was built in 1754. I went into the marines for 4 years and worked with all kinds of people from all different backgrounds - black, white, asian, hispanic, everyone - and that aspect of the military where you work with people from completely different backgrounds in a team enviorment is something I think anyone can benefit from. People need to remove this hatred, racisim, pre-concieved ideas, ect from their lives and knock down the walls that they've put up that have prevented amazing relationships and prosperity.

Hi, I am from Pakistan, I have been watching a lot of motivational videos for almost 10 years now. It has been difficult to understand the language and the msg behind them saying "Face your fears" and "make mistakes" words are very simple but there are so many explanations which I have missed. But you Sir, you did it the way I totally understand the msg, your worrds encouraged me to understand what FEAR really is and how should I FACE it. And "Make mistakes" means make a bold move. Thank you so much for your time and effort it helped me a lot. I listed my fears and I am setteling with myself one day at a time. Because I made an excel sheet of that, I can see my progress too LOL my words may suggest that I am a child or a teenage but I'm a 33 years old man married and father of 2 sons. I survived years of IV heroin use and just recently got clean on 2/17/2020. But I still abuse my Ritalin prescription. I just replaced on with the other the very next day. I needed this 10 years ago..the part about vices is right on. I have been working to change but I am also hampered by regret. I have made such dumb mistakes in my life which has me believing that at 38 yrs old my life has been a waste.
I really appreciate this video and the great advice that no one else gave me. Here's something I think I can add to the message of limiting beliefs. Another angle towards the same direction. To "what if I'm not good enough?" I answer no bullshit: "That's true, I am not good enough. So I'll get good enough." I dunno if this is because of my upbringing or because I'm a performance athlete, but I function the same when dealing with better competition or after a loss. "What if I'm not fast enough? It's true, I'm not, so I'll get fast enough" What if I'm not strong enough, I'll get strong enough." And then I work hard to become "enough" and then I can begin the real work.

I had a # of these limiting beliefs n assumptions that has caused years of self sabotage, addiction, poor behaviors and more. Learning from 1st principles is a new tactic I'm learning to apply.
A truth, the truth, your truth. I'm not sure what my limiting belief is but I do experience a anxious feeling when I think about the idea. I will find out now and crush it.

I am VERY excited about life and I just went through depression...
Am I depressed?
Am I just sad or am I truly depressed?
Maybe I’m just by the pace of life temporarily stressed?
Am I always sleepless because I work too much?
Or am I stuck in the deep dark depression clutch?
I know I’m depressed because I’ve lived like this for too long:
Not wanting to go anywhere and not interested in being strong.
I’m not excited about anything or anyone anymore at all.
I just feel like I live in a deep dark depression hole.
I have no joy and nothing gives me genuine pleasure.
I don’t give a crap about the things I used to wholeheartedly treasure.
I’m moving from one day to another wishing that it would all just end.
I know I’m depressed because I live in the hopelessness and indifference land.
But I’ve been saved by Jesus Christ and so I wholeheartedly lean on Him.
I stand firmly on God’s Promises waiting till with joy again my cup He can brim.
I don’t trust my emotions and feelings, depression or suicidal thoughts.
I trust God’s Promises and I know He has in store for me blessings lots.
If you are depressed right now, trust in Christ.
Your life is important - at His blood it was priced.
Your life matters so much that He sacrificed His for yours.
As a precious child of God to you He refers.
You are special, you’re valuable, you matter, so stay alive.
And share your faith and this video with others to help ease their depression and possibly save their life!

I needed this 10 years ago..the part about vices is right on. I have been working to change but I am also hampered by regret. I have made such dumb mistakes in my life which has me believing that at 38 yrs old my life has been a waste.
I really appreciate this video and the great advice that no one else gave me. Here's something I think I can add to the message of limiting beliefs. Another angle towards the same direction.
To "what if I'm not good enough?" I answer no bullshit: "That's true, I am not good enough. So I'll get good enough."
I dunno if this is because of my upbringing or because I'm a performance athlete, but I function the same when dealing with better competition or after a loss.
"What if I'm not fast enough? It's true, I'm not, so I'll get fast enough"
What if I'm not strong enough, I'll get strong enough." And then I work hard to become "enough" and then I can begin the real work.
