Adventurer, George Kourounis takes a small inflatable rubber raft out onto the world's largest lake of sulphuric acid at the bottom of the Kawah Ijen volcano crater in Indonesia. The acid is so strong (ph of 0.5) that an aluminum soda can sizzles when it touches the lake.

It’s due to the geography of this location. In dr stone the sulfur lake was in a crater, and not well ventilated. This sulfur lake probably has lower concentrations of gas, and has more ventilation than in the one in dr stone. In the show senku actually mentions the geography worried him.

It's not clear how the acid got inside the boat; did it eat through the bottom, or was he just a poor boatsman - insufficiently careful with his paddles? Or maybe he leaned over a bit too much when he was taking the sample and got acid in his boat that way? If I was going to do that, I'd have had my sample container on the end of a stick, I'd have gone real slow and I'd have brought along a spare set of clothes and plenty of soap and fresh water. Cutting your pants off with a knife is stupid. He should have immediately dropped his pants, and gotten hosed down with soapy water, then changed into fresh clothes. And that's assuming he couldn't have worn protective clothing to begin with.

@@Hamza-bw5nu The gas Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), is instantly fatal in high enough concentrations, but only reaches those high levels in areas it can build up over time. This is why Senku said the geography worried him so much. Judging from the amount of people working around the lake in this video, it's safe to assume the area is well enough ventilated for the gas to not build up.
Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4) will fuck you up if you fall in or get some on you without cleaning it quickly, but doesn't require gas masks itself when dealing with it (though I would still wear one personally)

DarkAngelEU Ohh...I`m 47..we had some reallllllllllly good LSD when I was in my late teens...we used to go about 2 hours north of Toronto to the center of cottage country and rent a nice cabin on the lake...I loved just eating 4 hits of purple microdot and playing vapour trail frisbee and firing off bottle rockets as it got dark.. sitting in front of a bonfire drinking watermelon wine, listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin echo off the other side of the lake..skinny dipping at 2am...waking up to a big breakfast of home made bread, bacon, sausage and eggs....perogies and chili....fuck it was awesome.......

Only trippin outdoors I did so far was in the middle of the woods near the French border, my friend freaked out a bit because of all the bugs and I was stuck in all the small planets that were forming on the surface. There was an island, a cave, you name it. When we started to come back to earth we talked a bit and listened to some nice tunes on the hillside.
We're gonna go trippin sometime soon again but the landscape here isn't that fascinating so I guess we're just going to some "moutains" or smth :p

I can't stress the importance of music...especially soft stuff that doesn't have any sharp edges...the last thing you want is something too clangy while you are trying to explore the world on hallucinogens...
I learned how to grow psilocybin mushrooms and grew a shitload of different types (I am good at learning how to grow things..and my sweet wife and I smoke our own medicine that I have been growing for so long) but the trips are always just crampy and speedy..I'm afraid the good LSD is just not within my grasp anymore and that's ok cause I'm past the stage where I can take 8 or 10 hrs to ponder the other worlds you see on it...plus the last time I ate acid it bit me on the ass...lol

atm I trade em with a friend for pot whenever I feel like having some. She told me you can smoke truffles and the effects are amazingly sharp. Breathing high concentrations of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) will kill you instantly, Suphuric Acid (H2SO4) itself is only dangerous if you come into direct contact.

It's sad when an Indonesian that live in Jakarta like me didn't even know there is a place like in Dr.Stone.
In my personal opinion, Indonesia is like a maze and puzzle game. Where tourists who visit are players and Indonesia is the place to play. Visiting Indonesia is actually not just for a vacation, but for adventure and exploring. Because in Indonesia there are so many categories that tourists can choose according to their wishes. Be it nature, entertainment venues, museums, shopping centers, culture, food, drinks, and more. Not only that, in 1 city in Indonesia there are lots of tourist attractions that tourists can choose for themselves, even tourist attractions with different nuances (That's only in 1 city, not including all of Indonesia). Then you will be able to find a lot of diversity, uniqueness, weirdness and other things in Indonesia according to the way of each traveler and their respective memories.
So my judgment (Personal opinion) : Indonesia is a place for adventure and exploration, not just a place for vacation. We tourists to Indonesia are players in the maze. Every city in Indonesia has different characteristics and too many categories. This is what is called an adventure game. Indonesia is perfect for tourists who are much more adventurous, discover the unique, know the great diversity, explore different natures and challenges.
