Every part of the video was on point! Once the battery was reconnected I was able to adjust my volume, downloaded my contacts, make calls from my steering wheel buttons and changes stations. My clock was brighter and was not flickering! I had to use a T40 instead of the recommended tools. However, the airbag light did not go away. There may be a sensor issue that may be causing this and may try to do a reset to see if it will go away! Still this was more the worth the instruction that was shared!!
You literally changed it out with one hand in about 30 minutes. Now when this takes me 4 hours with two hands I'll feel stupid. 😂 Nice work! Great content!
Overall nice video. On my 2011, to get the nut off the steering wheel, I needed a 22mm, not 21mm. And need to save the back part of the old clockspring and attach it to your new clockspring.
I love how when I replaced my clock spring, I had no problems taking the T30 off. Now I need to take the T30 out again because I need to check the air bag connection to make sure it's not damaged or not all the way connected because of a B134700 code I'm getting now but I can't get the T30 to come loose. So now I gotta try and see if I can find a wrench that has an extension so I can try and break the T30 loose and hopefully now have the Airbag deploy. Tried using my drill with the adapter for the T30 but my drill is so trash it can't break them loose.
Great video! One thing I had trouble with was removing the front of the steering wheel after loosening the torx screws all the way, though. On my Sedona, the torx screws are captive, and my driver wasn't pulling them out quite enough to allow the front of the wheel to come off. The trick I found to get the screws out the last bit was to be gently pulling on the loose front of the wheel while unscrewing the torx screws. This lets the thread on them have some purchase and they go out a little bit more and then the front panel comes off.
I have the same issue with my 2014 Sorento. I just called a Kia dealership and they will fix it for free. It can be covered under an extended warranty per TSB WTY003DEALERP.
Thank you very much my brother, excellent I really liked your video, I asked for the part and I did it just step by step just following your instructions. Thank you
Hey there so I can not find anything about a 07 kia Sportage when it comes to this removal of the steering wheel is it the same steps basically as what your doing and or do I need a steering wheel puller tool or can they all just be wobbled off thanks in advance for any information/help given I really appreciate it
Hi there what year was your Sportage my friend has a 07 and there's no videos on the removal of the steering wheel and the replacement of the blinker lever I just want to make sure it's at least similar to the video here and that I can wobble the steering wheel off? Cause some post & videos of other years and models of kia say you need a pulley tool to remove and press the steering wheel on/off the center stud... I appreciate any information/assistance/help given and thank you in advance
Just changed mine today. I looked at this whole vid and he did forget to mention the back part. I actually thought they gave me the wrong part when I notice I didnt have a place to put one of the last plug. Got to looking and sure enough I had to remove the sensor. Great vid tho. Really took the guess work out of it...
I have a KIA Sorento 2013 but the make is the same wtih your 2015, does the part number for the clock spring follow the same? If not, would you know the right part number for me?
Question: When you put back the nut holding the steering wheel, how much tension do you put on it? Just as much as you can do by hand with a socket wrench? Or less? Or more?
I recommend you to mark before you remove the nut. From stud to nut and also the steering wheel to the stud once you remobe nut so you get good alignment
let me know the size of hexagonal wrench that used in the first to unscrew.....I tried to unscrew it, but failed, it is too hard, it won't turn at all. Had been tighten to much.
I just called because mine is acting up. The dealer near me said they are charging me $160 to diagnose the air bag light even though I have the extended warranty letter from Kia saying I won’t be charged
I watched this video at least 10 times and am still stuck i don't see the pins to release the air bag and i can't get my torx bit to go in any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for showing that last connector to the rear of clock spring that it was spring loaded. Made all the difference for me. Thanks!
Great video! Just replaced without an issue and you saved me hundreds of $$$ in labor. Thanks

Thanks for all of the details regarding the sizes of tools needed. Made it very easy to do. Much appreciated!
There is a warranty extension from KIA on these Sorrento's for the clock spring. Call your local dealer before paying for repairs.
It was a clear explanation...very simple to understand keep it up!!! thanks you.
Your walk thru helped me figure out what I needed to do to replace the clock spring on my 2017 Sedona. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks! I needed to replace the blinker stalk on my girlfriend's Sorento and your guide made it super simple!

Thanks so much for your step by step instructions and showing it helped a lot. Now I can change out mines to get my light off.
if you don't have the 22mm socket, you can use the 4way cross wrench you got in your car for changing tyres, and save yourself $$
Just ordered my part online, anxious to take this one on and get my steering controls back.
Thanks for the video. We were working on a 2010 Majentice. similar. Turn signal shorted and sent out a puff of smoke

outstanding, I have a 2013 model with the volume/airbag/cruise acting up, for the price will definitely replace this clock spring!!!!!!
Having the same issue with my 2014 sorento. did get it fixed ?
I have the same issue with my 2014 Sorento. I just called a Kia dealership and they will fix it for free. It can be covered under an extended warranty per TSB WTY003DEALERP.
Great video. On a 2014 Sorento, the airbag is held in place by a 5mm allen head screw and not a torx30.
Thank you very much my brother, excellent I really liked your video, I asked for the part and I did it just step by step just following your instructions. Thank you
Your presentation was point on thanks ,you the man

You just saved me big bucks. Thank you, very well done. 🙏🏼
Nice vid! Same exact procedure on my Kia Sportage. Thanks!!

Thank you, for sharing, this was one of the most informational step by step videos I have seen:0)
Thanks brother,
It's a very good explanation and very detailed.
God bless you.
Thank you! What About the angle sensor? Didn’t you had to remove it from the original one and place it in the new one?

Yo big up mi general ! Respect fi di wisdom !
Thank you so much for that great video. Your the best
Great detail on your vid, thanks good work man.
Great help. Thank you very much
Thanks, great help. Just fixed mine.
Very useful and clear procedure. Thank you so much
You could have had the dealership do all this for free. There is a recall on these clock springs.
nice instruction but tell me how to test driver side airbag circuit 1 and 2 high resistance?
Did it on my 2010 kia sorento ans cruise control works again!!
Thank you for sharing such a detailed video! Much appreciated :0)
What is the part # for the clock spring and where did you order it?
I have a KIA Sorento 2013 but the make is the same wtih your 2015, does the part number for the clock spring follow the same? If not, would you know the right part number for me?
Correction: The required tool for removing the steering wheel airbag is a T30; NOT T34 or 35.
I was about to ask if it's a t30 or 40. Thank you for this info.
where do you buy the clock spring amazon or from kia dealer ?
thank you
Question: When you put back the nut holding the steering wheel, how much tension do you put on it? Just as much as you can do by hand with a socket wrench? Or less? Or more?
No not just by hand you have torque it to spec
I recommend you to mark before you remove the nut.
From stud to nut and also the steering wheel to the stud once you remobe nut so you get good alignment
Would the clock spring needing to be replaced cause the steering wheel remote control to not work?
Yes that can cause it to not work
Whats the part number for the clock spring? Im seeing 2 different sets
1u325fff o 2p170?
After replacing mine with 2 new different clocks springs, I still have the Air bag lights on. Any suggestions?
let me know the size of hexagonal wrench that used in the first to unscrew.....I tried to unscrew it, but failed, it is too hard, it won't turn at all. Had been tighten to much.
Thank you!
Costs almost $100 for that part but worth it if it saves you another $200+ to take it in.
Great. Very Nice explanation.
Will it work on a 2011 Kia Sorento?
Big Help Dude Kia Charges to Much
Greetings Momoboss5, Great presentation on the ClockSpring Install! Does the operation you performed work for the 2014 KIA Sorento!
Yes
Good job.
Great video! Thank you!
I thought this would have fixed my horn but it didn’t… so what could it be? After installing all buttons work in the steering wheel but not the horn
What drill was that?
This is incredibly useful, thank you. Can you clear up the uncertainty on the TORX size? Is it 30? 40? Other? Thanks!
I used a T30 and it came out perfectly
T40 is the correct one
There is any risk if i fix myself? I do not have any experience but the mechanic ask for $650. Kia Sorento 2012 V6
This is now covered by KIA -- even if your warranty is expired. KIA extended the warranty service on this particular issue.
I just called because mine is acting up. The dealer near me said they are charging me $160 to diagnose the air bag light even though I have the extended warranty letter from Kia saying I won’t be charged
Thank u great video
Very clear, thanks dude a lot 👍🏻
Nice video. Well-explained. I didn't see you re-connect the horn wire?
I did thanks for watching
I replaced spring, everything worked well, then I parked my car, checked again and audio controls didn't work, only speed control button....any clue??
👍🏻
Very good.
Great video.
Number of part? Clock spring
