Bob Weir, David Crosby, and Van Morrison all have new albums out now, and they are all incredible. Don't miss the new tunes.

No offense but the newest John Prine is just mediocre. For an awesome new release try the new Steve Earle/ Shawn Colvin release. It is fan-freakin'-tastic.

"Blue Mountain" is a phenomenal album. Such a departure from anything that Weir has ever done previously. He totally steps out of his comfort zone. Often artists recycle earlier material just to placate the demands of the record label. Weir's body of work has always been stellar, but this new direction adds a few new brushstrokes to a lifetime of music that is a masterpiece. THANK YOU, BOBBY!!!

Note: Bob Weir's 69th birthday. With Steve Kimock, Bryan Devendorf, Scott Devendorf, Jon Shaw and Josh Kaufman. Aaron Dessner also performed with the band for most of the show. He was originally set to tour with the band but had to cancel. Three unannounced female backup singers were also present for most of the band numbers.

I really enjoyed all the musicians and the production is stellar. Bobbie is phenomenal; Kimmock's sound is particularly crisp, the slide from Josh Kauffman, I believe, and the Bandana Splits really added a neat element. Wow! The fact that we could enjoy the live stream and now the recording is a blessing. I loved my cassette tapes, but this has all gone to a different level! Thanks to everyone involved.

A beautiful "eyes" and a great new album from Bobby.. I have always loved his cowboy tunes when the Dead would play them. I respect and admire Bobby for doing what he has for so long and still is creative and reinventing.. Love it and look forward to seeing him in Chicago!

I'm a huge deadhead, but also a folk music head....Very refreshing after so many years of the same dead tunes. I love dead tunes, but new is always good. Hope he keeps writing em. The Bandana Splits really made the show for me. Great mood to the whole night of music!
