I think you are wonderful, and doing this for your kids is great. I have 3 boys all different ages very different....25, 20 and 10 and they still get baskets from me...I love the idea of the laudary basket for a easter basket for older ones...awesome!!! YOU ARE GREAT!!!!
I have always loved Easter...my son is 26 yrs. old and the "bunny" has never missed a year without filling his basket!! It cracks me up to watch him look through all the things.... :D
I like to celebrate holidays because it creates memories that you can look back on and feel good about. It's cool if you don't celebrate Easter, but some people like myself (and Kayli!) just love to make things and do things for people, and I think that's really the fun in it and giving presents or surprises, is seeing smiles on peoples' faces that YOU put there! Warms the heart! :) But everybody is different, and everybody shows love differently. Just watch how you're calling people "sad".
I love how when you have kids during the holidays we get to be kids again and do all the fun decoration and celebrating we did when we were young. Kayli, you are so talented. Your kiddos are fortunate to have such a wonderful mommy. Please keep these videos coming. My kids are grown but I have lots of nieces and nephews to spoil and this is perfect:)
I love kayli's videos! she is so sweet and delicate. The idea of her video can be so simple and short, but she manages to make them so fun and entertaining!
I absolutely love watching Kayli's videos, they really relax me, especially with the cute music in the background. I'm from the UK and have never heard of leaving a basket out for the Easter Bunny! We seem to focus more on the religious side of Easter here, and all the chocolate eggs!xx
My family don't have any traditions really, but seeing all the traditions your family has makes me feel when i'm older and have kids, i'll use your ideas and little festivities. You're awesome
Easter is my FAVORITE holiday - the colors, cute animals, eggs & egg hunts! One of the things I love to do (although this isn't limited to Easter necessarily) is go beyond a simple egg hunt and make a more interactive treasure hunt. Ex. following a series of clues to find the easter basket. Easter eggs are the perfect containers for hiding little clues and goodies :) And it can be a "smarter" way to have fun too!
Oh my gosh! You are the sweetest mom ever! And I really like you blue top. I love that you do these crafty things for your kids because it seems like younger kids are now relying on electronics for entertainment.
This is first Easter with my 8 month old grand baby...I am so excited to do this all over again, my kids are grown but we still color Easter eggs too!! and fun times together.
A few months before Easter when ever my mom made eggs she would just break off the top and then wash and save the shells. Then the day before Easter after we finished coloring the hard boiled eggs we would color the shells. Then take them outside and slide the shells over tree branches and have an egg tree. Always looks beautiful and springy!
every easter we would just set out easter eggs in the front and back yards and throughout the house. we would even make easter baskets and color the eggs. one time my mom even hid the easter basket in the dryer. recently though since my brother and I are older we havent really done that too much anymore. so now we just get the family together for lunch or dinner and just have like cake and candy and whatever. its still really fun I enjoy it.
you are such an incredible and loving mom and wife. I feel like the way you interact with people, the way you make these videos makes the world a little bit better :)
You're the best mom! I'm due to give birth to our first daughter in a matter of days and I'm just so excited to makes things like this for her start some new family traditions.
Me and my mom always watch your videos together, Kayli, we absolutely adore you! My parents always made Easter special for me and my brother, and well I guess they still do now even though I'm 18 and my brother's 23 and moved out lol. They still buy a whole bunch of our favorite chocolates and candies and hide them all over the house and I have to still search for them on Easter morning/afternoon/whenever I wake up. And like you, they also add extra little gifts in too that aren't chocolate. :)
I love the Kayli! This is awesome! I look forward to seeing what you are going to do every holiday that comes up! Could you do something for birthdays? I could really use some Kayli ideas right now for parties, giftbags, & fun presents!
I love these videos so much! I'm not a parent yet but I'm so excited for when I am and I can do all these fun things with my kids. I babysit two little girls that I can try all this out on also!
we used to have a chocolate egg hunt inside the house and my parents were really good at hiding them in plain sight - like the silver ones like screws on top of the hanging pictures and a green one between grapes, they'd put them in the center of flowers and in nooks and crannies but never in, under or behind things - it was awesome we'd have to look so carefully it was still a nice challange when i was 18! and then a big brunch, but never presents!
we didn't have a lot of money when i was little so for easter my brothers and I got new shoes, and a chocolate bar from Walmart, not much but it was super fun to pick out new things every spring. We also decorated eggs and then my dad would hide them in the house for us to find when we woke up the next morning, one year he forgot to draw the "treasure map" and we had found a very smelly egg a week later hidden on the book shelf
Kayli you are an amazing mom. Gage sure loves his superhero stuff! lol so cute. I never got a ton of things for Easter but my parents would hide eggs that we decorated around the house and we would find them. After that, we would have to go search for our Easter basket and it was filled with candy and maybe a little something special that we wanted. It was fun!
I feel like the people at my church are a part of my family and I spend the whole day with them and my family we usually have a Easter egg hunt and I just love it
My sister and I slept in a tent every Easter Eve in the backyard.. always so much fun! I don't even know how it started (I think my mom used to do it too and passed the idea on to us) but Ever since I can remember, we've always done it..sad that I'm moved out now and married so it has stopped for a while (until my kids can do it) We would wake up and get to start the hunt in the backyard! :) I love your videos Kayli!!! You're so sweet!
Kayli, I made the easter eggs for my mother for my birthday and she absolutely loves them! Thanks for the great idea, it was super affordable for a college student!
im hispanic and im not to sure if only hispanic people do this but before easter we save egg shells from our eggs (when you cook them you just break the top part off) and you rinse them out then you dye them and let them dry after that you fill them with confetti and glue a small piece of paper towel on the opening. once your done the parents go out and hide them .then the children go out and find them and then you crack them on peoples heads! sounds crazy but SO MUCH FUN :D you should try it!
we used to get a raw egg & a needle & carefully make two tiny holes at the bottom and top of the egg, you blow the egg out by blowing on one of the holes, comes out the other. once they were empty we would paint them. its a little tricky with small kids cause they break easily, but for older kids that enjoy being detailed and meticulous (like me lol) its awesome. after you finish u can put some kind of coat (even clear nail polish works) that way you can keep them and they wont break :D
I always woke up to a trail of eggs that would lead my brother and I around the house to our baskets! Our baskets were the same every year and they would be filled with candy and some toys!
I make very creative baskets for my kids too! I love it. I do try to substitute other things for candy. My house is mostly free of junk food because they get junk at parties, school, and their friends' houses.
Hey Kayli! You should try making the tinted mason jars that are all over pinterest. It's really easy, you only need Mod Podge (your fav!), food coloring, and a little water. I just tried it and they turned out really pretty, especially to set out during the spring time! Definitely give it a try!
When I was younger we would use old ice cream buckets, the big plastic gallon size ones with a handle and my mom, brother and I would use markets to decorate them.
Easter is huge in Cyprus, so every year we have a big family party roasting lambs on the spit! When we were little my mom used to have Easter egg hunts :)
You are such a sweetheart :) We used to get easter baskets when I was a kid, full of fake grass and candy xD And then we usually do big easter egg hunts around the house in our front yard. That was always fun! I miss doing stuff like that but hopefully I can change that in the future :3
I love all your ideas! You're very creative. :) I have a daughter named Lilly who is about to be 2. She already loves girly things so I might have to steal your purse idea for next year! Thank you!
We travel to my aunts house which used to be my grandparents, and we've done it every year since I was born. This year till be the 2nd year I won't be able to participate because of work. But we use the same baskets that we've had since we were babies and we hunt for chocolate eggs in the house and yard. Since we're much older, not everyone is around for coloring eggs, so it's usually 4 of us that do it for everyone. I find it so fun! But now I want you to fill my basket. ;)
When I was little "the Easter bunny" would hide our baskets and we would have to find them. Always got candy toys and an Easter outfit to wear to g-mas house! And grandma always bought us kites and everyone would be in the back yard after lunch flying kites! I miss those days!
Hi,i love your seasonal crafts, i would love it if you would make some christmas boxes like these to put gifts in, i know it's early but you have to be prepared ! Thanks
One year for Easter we did kind of like a secret santa where everyone drew names out of a hat and we all went to the dollar store and made baskets for the name we got. SUPER FUN!
You have loads of great ideas Kayli! I think your channel is my favourite out of the 'Moms View' women, you really put a lot of effort into your videos and it pays off, I loved these ideas and I'm definitely going to use it this weekend! I also love the top your wearing in this video :) your beautiful and a really inspiring, hard working Mother! :)
we have a big window ledge at my house and when i was younger the easter bunny would put the bigger things behind them and my brothers side always had pringles and my side always had ketchup chips it was sooo much fun!
My grandma and I used to make sugar cookies shaped as eggs and we would do different color icing and then write every person in the family's name on them with icing
I remember one year when I was little me and my brother got Trapper Keepers from Mom and Dad. Who remembers those being like the COOLEST things ever for school? LOL
When i was younger, i remember one Easter my parents gave my sister and i a trash bag full of goodies! they decorated the bag with stickers and pictures and inside was full of candy, coloring books, little toys, a new Barbie and also a cute sundress, little flip flops and a pair of sunglasses to wear to the easter egg hunt we were attending (:
i thought it was so funny how she was like "you dont even have to worry about filling these up because the easter bunny will do that for you" lol this was a great video thanks!
every year my family and I make birds nest with chow mein noodles and marshmallow s and form nest then put the robins egg candy and put a peep chick on top it is a cute idea and taste really good .
That's a little judgy! Haha, I grew up in a family that got more gifts on holidays than the average kid, I didn't turn out materialistic and bratty. But also, we didn't get anything throughout the year except on holidays. This may be the way her family is too! I think this is a good way to raise kids because it teaches them that you shouldn't expect to be getting things in your day to day life, but holidays are special :)
she picks up each item so gracefully. Love it!
I think you are wonderful, and doing this for your kids is great. I have 3 boys all different ages very different....25, 20 and 10 and they still get baskets from me...I love the idea of the laudary basket for a easter basket for older ones...awesome!!! YOU ARE GREAT!!!!
LOL I think the little containers and storages are super cute!!!!!
You're such a great mother, Kayli :) I love how gentle and calm you are. I always feel so relaxed watching your videos.
Right? Her videos are so relaxing or as kids would say now so satisfying ahead awesome.
I have always loved Easter...my son is 26 yrs. old and the "bunny" has never missed a year without filling his basket!! It cracks me up to watch him look through all the things.... :D

The healthier and more intentional I try to be, the more I love these creative ideas for noncandy basket/egg stuffers.
You are so soft spoken kayli. I think that's why everyone enjoys you so much
My family don't have any traditions really, but seeing all the traditions your family has makes me feel when i'm older and have kids, i'll use your ideas and little festivities. You're awesome

I love the laundry basket idea! It would be ideal for birthdays as well. Thanks Kayli!
This is first Easter with my 8 month old grand baby...I am so excited to do this all over again, my kids are grown but we still color Easter eggs too!! and fun times together.
I give my nieces & nephews an Easter basket every year. The fun is finding cute things that fit their personalities.
The smaller one is perfect for a V.Teacher gift with the message inside..LOVE IT..I think I will do that for today for my visits this week. Too cute
