This generation will never understand how relatable this song and video is. Carrying buckets of water up stairs, sleeping on the terrace in the summer, kerosene stoves. It's like a beautiful time capsule.
Those were the days when "Parallel Cinema", movement was active! Realistic films were made on important social issues/problems! Om, Nasir, Shabana, Faroukh Smita, Dipti, Amol were the major actors, who played important roles in shaping this movement! Arth, Ankur, Bhumika, Khandahar, Mirch Masala, Katha etc. were some of the fantastic films during this movement. Smita's untimely death was a blow to this movement, slowly other actors moved towards commercial cinema and parallel cinema died. Today majority of the films are crappy, gaudy and loud!
