      @@sillsation4986 fruits and sugar generally start to ferment after a day, effectively making alcohol. this batch apparently preserved itself, probably thanks to no air exposure at all.

      @@Karmdals and you must add yeast don't think sugar and fruit on its own can turn into alcohol

      @@sillsation4986 i meant alcohol in the most literal of ways, fruit starts to ferment and that generates alcohol, had it happen macerating fruit for jam.
