I have what I was told was Fluorite it's a piece about 16" x 16 " and 5" thick but it's lime green with stripes in it or I guess you would call them bands or layers where the green is slightly darker and some bands look like clear glass and you can see light through it, it doesn't look anything like this stuff
Look for the square crystals on the rocks. Also, dig on the side of the trenches. If the fluorite is etched, you can put it in muriatic acid…. Don’t breath the fumes in - very dangerous. Creates a a very strong dangerous gas. Do at your own risk!
The fluorite polishes up beautifully.
Im not sure which one to polish they are all too small but I would love to go back

That sounds like a big rock
Get yourself an old used crock pot. It will heat up the iron out which helps it work much better.

I have a bunch of dirty rock that is full of small crystals but I want more big ones
