Great review and you hit the nail on the head. I ordered a 2020 X5 in Sept 2019 and when the 2020 X6 came out, I had to have one so I traded in for it and love it. Mine is fully loaded with everything including cooling and massaging seats, alcantara headliner and 22" wheels. It's a shame that you can't get the fog lights anymore because I use them all the time at night. I have the B&W stereo which was an expense but the H&K is sufficient. The in-line 6 is pretty powerful so I agree, there is no need for the V8. Someone said you don't buy an X6 because you need one, but because you want one and I totally agree. Get the X5 if you have a small family, but if not go for the X6.
Fully agreed, it's a great all arounder with style. It drove so well!! The wheel well size is what makes the 22's (to us!) an absolute must on these, and the ride quality was still sublime. These look goofy on the 20s! Thanks for watching!!
I'd take this X6 - this offers the perfect balance of price/sport/luxury and looking unique in the process. The 40i doesn't break the bank but sounds great (with the m sport package/exhaust) - and overall feels very premium in this segment. Q8 and Cayenne are very MEH to me although both great cars in their own right.
i drove both .. and u notice A HUGE difference. in the x5 you have sooooo much more space in the front seats. the x6 is like driving an M4 from the space u feel
The X6 felt like the tighter car when driving and looking out the front (due to the stronger rake of the windshield) or the back (due to the sloped roofline). Both of these contribute to a lower visibility. Having said that, the feeling we got from just sitting in the front seats was very similar to the X5 due to the similar ergonomics of the interior as well as the two cars having nearly the same length, width, and ride height (view of the road). Thanks for watching!
That was a fantastic car review! I was so curious how quiet the ride was going to be,,even with that zippy V6 and custom exhaust its still very quiet in comfort mode and thats what i wanted to hear...very detailed review, good job man..
Appreciate the kind words! BMW really has perfected the luxury/sport blend with this X5/X6 platform, even with the 22" wheels! Minimal road noise, even without the dual pane windows. Exhaust produces a very subtle growl on these not intrusive at all. Thanks for all the feedback and for watching !
Hi have a question On the front or you have fog, lights cut out with out fog lights Does that mean you can put them if you want? If yes because of cut out is there a wiring there all ready when you decide to put them fog light or nothing there where you need fog light and wiring done ?
I don't believe you can actively insert them after and there is no wiring there. Fog lights were left out on the newer models due to part shortages. Thanks for watching !
I think X5 are great but the bulbous 2/3 of the SUV just scream "UTILITY!" X6 are more car like, more streamlined. I want to know what you think is the most luxurious and best handling one? Regular X5 or X6?
From seat impressions the X6 felt like the more 'upscale' car. Maybe it's because of the more unique (exotic) shape, or the fact that X6 offers leather options (only fake leather on current 2023 X5) - but X6 felt like a more premium product. Also I felt like handling was better in the X6 but just might be my perception! Thanks for watching!!!
Both X5 and X6 of this generation look great. But X5 looks more masculine in my opinion, especially with all black appearance. The coupe suv look of X6 is a bit controversial, some like it and some hate it (watched several youtube reviews that state they dislike the look of X6), but i think it still look good (not as manly as X5 though)
Bro, I just got a whatsapp text asking me to like this video in exchange they are offering me to pay Rs.50 Indian rupee. Just wanted to keep you posted about this scam and be cautious
@@thedesertroad Lol. Anyway it was a good review. Since you review cars do you have a rating of your top 3 cars/suvs/trucks that you would purchase that check all the boxes?
@@tomcat6933 There are few cars that do it much better all around then the 40i X5. Really a great all in one. Roomy, comfortable, quick, reliable, some resemblance of sport. On a smaller SUV side I'm a huge fan of the Q5 line for a daily (I personally own an SQ5). If you are into sedans, I like the S4 and M340i (just finished review on that) for great all around dailies (we owned several S4s for years). Clearly I have a thing for german cars - but for all around great performers those are tough to beat. I mostly look for a great daily car, with some sport and emotion built into it (which all of those check). Never looked into trucks, and not sure if there will be many on this channel. Thanks!
Correct, this was a turo rental. Please see link in our signature if you are interested in the Phoenix metro area! Thanks for watching and have a great day! :)

Any updates on your experience? Was it worth it ?
Used to own one of these and loved it. My only issue is the size of the wheel wells...huge.

Nice vid bro. Which would you choose of this x6, audi q8, and porsche cayenne ( regular no coupe out of price range) and why

My favorite BMW!
These are phenomenal machines - in either 6 or 8 cyl version! Thanks for stopping by :)
I own the 6 cyl version. 👌🏾
@@vernonalexander2666 I own the M50i X5 and still IMO the 6 cyl is the 'better' route to go!
Wow ❤ I love this car thank you
Thank you - it was a pleasure to review and to drive. That 6 cyl works really well in that! Thanks for stopping by our channel today!

He's tiny or that front seat is huge..
I'm 5'7 - but the seats are very roomy and able to accommodate a much larger body! Thanks for watching!
DOES IT DRIVE BETTER THAN A 30d
We never drove a 30d we don't get those in the states unfortunately but this inline 6 engine is fantastic on the BMWs! Thanks for watching ! :)
Gle mag 53 coupe

BMW definitely wouldn’t give you a vehicle. You had to rent it.

Bmw would give you a vehicle if they wanted too
Low subscribers for a reason.

X-5 definitely
For practicality definitely, for looks it's a toss up! Thanks for your feedback + watching :)
Absolutely agree with you, X5 is a lot more masculine, especially with more boxy design. X6 has softer cut, but it looks nice too
@@FinnKim-mr1jz Thanks for your feedback! X6 certainly a bit more 'rare' - but offers less practicality overall. Both great options!
@@thedesertroad I agree!
@@FinnKim-mr1jz I do not agree. X6 looks more agressive.
