I have a 2015 chevy equinox. Black screen on radio, nothing out of speakers. Also, the turn single no longer makes the noise it used to. Any suggestions?
Hi, Chevy vehicles will have turn signal sound connected through the speakers so the problem will be with the radio unit. If all fuses shown in the video are good then try disconnecting the battery for 10 min and reconnecting and see if that "resets it". If not next step would be to scan the vehicle for any possible codes in the module
My front speakers always cut it & out wuen it rains. Sometimrs it vauses ooud feedback, too. This eeek, mt truck was under a sprinler for a few hours and joe kt front speakers have completely cut out. Ive checjed the doors for moisture and theyre both not bad. Also, i dont have the 1st fuse he checked kn this videk. 2016 equinox. Im missing the #5 but i believe everything works
That is really unusual for a 2016 vehicle. There is water leaking somewhere, unfortunately very hard to find out where. Best I can tell you is try to take apart both front doors and inspect all the wiring towards the speakers to see where is the leak. Also check the wiring behind rubber sleeves at the door jam
@@QuiteAlright spent the past 2 weekends ripping my truck apart lol So far, I've taken apart both doors, inspected all connections, taken speakers out and tested with 9V batt (both spkrs work), also opened up the weather seal to inspect the wires inside, and on each side, 4 wires were electrical taped together. Not sure if that means the wires are exposed under the tape and moisture maybe got in, but I did have a bit of moisture in the weather seal-tube on my pass-side. Let it dry for few hours and still no front-audio. I've also taken apart under the steering wheel to check all wiring, moved around wires to check for shorts, etc. Supposedly that's where the amp is located but I'm not sure. If it was there, all the wires were good. Only thing I haven't done is taken the radio unit itself out. But, I do know that when the speakers would cut in and out, sometimes I'd hit a bump and they'd come back on. Especially the doors, so I figured it had to be in there, but now I'm not sure. Also, I found out GM vehicles have an issue where the drainage line for sunroofs leaks onto components. But I have no idea how to check besides ripping the entire headliner out. This is turning into such a project lol, appreciate any input (sorry for long msg, just wanted to give all info I have)
@@limit420 Try to pull out the radio and first inspect wiring behind it. Then try to tap on the radio and shake it while you have it out and while the radio is working. If the sound cuts out then most likely it is internal problem. I had this happen few times and had to resolder loose connections within the radio or just replace the radio
@@QuiteAlright thanks will try that next. Dash is a bitch to take apart so I was hoping to avoid lol Just hoping the water didn't fry the front channel on the amp or something Also, what can I do to do a full radio reset? I've looked it up few times and everyone says remove negative terminal on batt for 15 min. I did that but all of my settings are still saved. Then, I pulled the neg & the positive terminal both for 25 min, turn back on and setting still saved. Few people mentioned resetting bc if the circuit shorted out, the radio may just need to be reset for it to kick back on
@@limit420 YOu can try to connect the positive and negative battery cables together for approximately 5 minutes. That should do a full reset and drain all the voltage
First try to remove / reinstall radio fuses that could maybe reset the MyLink. Then try disconnecting the battery for few minutes. If nothing works it might need MyLink update which can unfortunately only be done by a Chevy dealer
Just had my center unit / radio mess up today. THANK YOU for your video.
You are very welcome :)
Great video the fuses were dirty cleaned works great thanks!!!
Great to hear!
Thank you man, love your channel ✌🏻
You're most welcome. Thanks for the sub
Great video! Thanks
You're welcome!
My car doesn’t have that top fuse, the first one you showed us. How come my car doesn’t have a fuse in that spot? Should it? Ty
Hi, it will depend on the trim level of your Equinox. You probably have LS trim which often comes without infotainment system
Where is the Bluetooth fuse located
Can u tell me if I figured it out yet
If u*
Did you ever figure it out?

Woah, same thing happened to me today. If I find a solution to it I will come back and comment ! 🙏🏼

They unplugged my fuses and replugged them and mine started working it was doing the same thing

Where is usb fuse
Mine keeps freezing, and I can't control anything, very glitchy

Did all that and radio still don't work
If you checked all the connections and wiring behind the radio and all the fuses, problem might be the radio unit itself
Thanks

Same
What if your raido still plays but go off and on
Probably a connection problem behind the radio or a problem within the radio circuit board
How do I unlock mine?
If radio got locked try to remove and then reinsert the fuse. That should reset it
