Dave hiding was a classic use of the proverb "The master swordsman fears the novice, for neither know what the novice will do next." Absolutely loved seeing this collab!
If you do this again, don't hesitate to take inspiration from the other Hide 'n Seek videos and combine your footage with the other players. Makes the video that much more engaging when we see everyone's hiding spots!

It was very interesting to see the hide and seek with such limited information. Really a great display of how impactful some simple communication can be, like DGR here not ever calling out the volley ball courts when he found Smallant there because he's just never played the game before.

I've been waiting for this ever since I saw you and Poo do Mario Party together! So glad it finally happens and hope you join more sessions for this! As a critique on the editing, I think it would be better to show other player's perspectives as well. If you watch videos from others in this group (Fir, Smant, CJ, Crafty, Poo, etc.) for past hide and seek matches each of their videos shows the perspectives of the other players during key moments. I'm not sure how much more work this would create for your editor, but it definitely increases the quality of the content. There were several points in the vid where I was like "man, I wish I could see what everyone else is doing" so as a viewer, having those perspectives enhances the experience, especially if you have points like when you were just sitting at the Odyssey waiting for Fir to be caught. Like I said though, not sure how much more work this creates for your editor so not sure how viable this would be for your current setup/arrangement. Would be nice to include in the sequel though!
I have been subscribed to you for 8 years soon, across two different accounts, and although I don't watch you that much anymore, this was a massive throwback to the old Uncle DGR days of SMM1. I was only 9 back then, and watching you was part of my daily routine. I have been loving these Hide & Seek games that SmallAnt and the others have been playing, so seeing you be part of one was a recipe for nostalgia. I hope you read this and know that you have played a large part in many peoples lives. I think I'll never forget this such as Checkpoint City, great fun! You're such a lovable dad-person

The problem is that smant and fir are crazy, both in terms of skill and thinking out of the box, cj is a great player but are much less crazy than these 2, and crafty and poo ara worse players, but still very competent ones, specially mention for crafty that improves a lot only playing H&S and others mods he or someone else like amethyst do. It's really hard for any non speedruner (and even for some of them) of odyssey to do a great job on first time.

Honestly, hiding the flower boss room in Mushroom Kingdom was big brain, nobody ever goes in there from what I've seen in hide and seek videos. Did well for your first time DGR!
Your team got shafted. The two biggest kingdoms in the rotation were both the ones you were seeking in, you had the worst outfit for hiding, and one of the other teams gave an incorrect hint that earned them a fair bit of extra time.

I think the cuts where a little too subtle, I found myself confused as for when were things happening, but other than that it was a great video, glad to see another player join the Hide n' Seek gang
From what I see, Fir also uploads far less frequently than DGR. DGR is one per day. Fir is like once a week. It takes way more time to splice all those chases together.
