I don't know if I am the only one who feels this way, but this song has the power to generate in me an overwhelming feeling of sadness and emptiness, but also an inexplicable feeling like the one you feel when you have an objective still unfinished, a task that must be carried out, urgently, as soon as possible. In my case I think it is a dream, and that is humanity to explore and expand rapidly through the space and universe, our longed for and deserved future. It is as if ... thinking it through ... it is as if I feel a real fear of disappearing, but not just as an individual but as a species, I fear to disappear forever without a trace, fear of extinction. What a powerful feeling.
Yeah, I feel kinda similar regarding that objective about surviving as a kind. For me personally, it's a dream of living a life of a true Human that pursues real tasks only, not tainted by human vices. This life is so close you can almost touch it... but it remains just out of your grasp, yet so infinitely close so you stretch your arm as far as you can ... but it's still not enough.
@@masonwright9000 Don't cry brother as long as the Russians survive the Red army's tradition will never die. Maybe more 50 or 100 years the soviets union will be back.
As a West European space engineer, I often wonder what the live of the Soviet Space engineers must have been like. They were working in secrecy and under immense pressure. What was their work culture like? Most of them are completely unknown in the rest of the world and they anonymously made these incredible machines. Did they have nice lives? How do they feel about the developments in space flight since 1990? I am sure they have countless fascinating anecdotes to tell. I know that back then they did not work for all mankind, but they probably really wished to have worked for all mankind and many of their achievements are still used today.
I dont know about them or their living details, but i know that the dream of mankind reaching the intergalactic civilization were true for them. After the US landed on the moon, it inspired many of them to do the same and build a moon base permanently. This dream however with lack of funding and infrastructure, collapsed with the Soviet Union.
I can't tell you about the times of the USSR, I didn't exist then. But in modern Russia, space engineers are highly valued and really talented guys receive awards and money from the state. There is also an education system that has been arranged since the time of the USSR so that it will not be possible to become a space engineer if a person is not sick with space.I worked at Roscosmos ( as HR) and I can authoritatively say that everyone there is a fanatic of their business. This has not changed since the Union time`s.
You should look into the story on Yuri Gagarin. When they took photos of him for the press an aviation officer demanded he be given an aviation officer hat rather then the army regular hat because Yuri was a pilot not a soldier as it was stated.
Disclaimer: I know the song is of "Sovietwave" genre, but what it just made me imagine doesn't necesserily has to be about communism. But DAMN does it made me feel stuff (it's also super late, which has a strong effect on me). I just imagined, that I live in a world, where there is no "the enemy", no countries to wage war to, impose sanctions, negotiate, bargain, have a weapon race with, e.t.c. A world where everyone is everyone eslse's brother/sister and you don't have to fight other people for stupid reasons either. Instead, you can count on people you don't know or atleast know that they won't betray you. You don't need (I suppose) no self-affirmation (atleast in the weird ways of our world), don't need to join a subculture to express yourself or to get attention. Your talent is recognised, cherished and cultivated right from the kindergarden. A system made FOR people BY people, not for quenching the greed of elites by elites. Thus, culture is bound to be something very proud of and to love, rather than: "I was born in a wrong generation", the "abcdefgoomer generation is stupid", damn ads everywhere, infinite division of induviduals into infinitesimal groups by their interests, "you're special, unique, like a snowflake", "yolo, live your life for yourself, use and enjoy everything life gives to you", consumerism, e.t.c... But there is no world without problems. Everyone are bound by the same goal - to make the humanity prosper, to make it survive: all of the creative energy goes to this goal. No conspiracy, no burocracy - you just get in the frontier of today's humanity problems and solve it directly. You just doing your best at trying to building a better tomorrow for your kids, your family, your kind, and everyone else does the same. You're really living your live as a Human with the capital H, not waiting until the time of your imprisonment on Earth expires, just passing the time with hedonism or something similar. For people been egoists, liars, hypocrites, hearless to the suffering of each other, like its all a problems of humanity and our nature, we cant just run from them forever if we want to move on in terms of our physical and spiritual evolution. @Adam Tell The United States is no different. Search up Siege of Waco, Japanese Internment Camps, Levon Affair, and the many atrocities the US commits in the Middle East. The United States has become the global center for corporatism and hyper-consumerism. At least Soviet Russia had its own culture. All the US has for a culture is celebrities, FunkoPops, huge but empty shopping malls, and lastly: Advertisements everywhere you go. To add onto that. The US took part in ruining Green Libya and Iraq, which were once stable and successful countries now are deadly warzones. The US also destroyed Japan in ww2, wiping Japan of its traditional values and culture, and turning it into the worst form of hyper-consumerism. In a way I feel a bit of camaraderie with the Soviets of old. Our pasts were similar, and our fate likely will be the same at this rate with the breakdown of social order. When you look at it, the Soviet Union and United States have more in common than you think...
I am personally not a communist. But I wholeheartedly respect the ideal of communism, and the dream of the Soviet Union.
The hope that maybe you could live and work without exploitation...a land where people, mattered more than profits or the state...the idea of laborers working to a great dream....conquering the farthest reaches of space...even though they did have numerous problems, my country (US) does too, and as I watch the turmoil here I feel a bit remorseful...
In a way I feel a bit of camaraderie with the Soviets of old. Our pasts were similar, and our fate likely will be the same at this rate with the breakdown of social order. But...I still hope that dream won't leave...
@Marwin they are scared of what people will think of them because they will be ridiculed for siding with the enemy.
@Marwin in my case it's to highlight the nobility of the underlying goal (which is to liberate workers, from my understanding). I still think the goal is a nice and worthy one, and I think most people in the world would agree with the aims of communism, though not in practice.
@@Джеклейланд I think it may be because Communism as embodied by Marxism relied on deception in communication against non Communists. The dialectic is remembered by many people and so Communists are being strategic in their identification.
I'm not advocating or judging it. I am just describing what I think is the dynamic.
what a strange thing to say. this makes zero sense. (the original comment)
