Splurge in everything that will touch your face aka foundation, concealer, PRIMER IS VERY IMPORTANT. You can keep it chill in everything else. Elf is a great brand for blushes, brow powder, contour powder, bronzer, highlighter, brushes, everything really!

Honestly I know you mentioned it already but it matters A WHOLE LOT that chocolate girls make it 1M subbies! It's not to discredit anyone else or their work ethic, like you said, but that glass ceiling was in full effect, and was only broken if you were "light bright and almost white" lol It paints the picture that you have to look a certain way to achieve this "kind" of social media success and it didn't represent me. Beauty equality and fair representation has ALWAYS been a struggle for deeper melanin, on any playing field, but I was rooting for you, that you wouldn't hit the ceiling like everyone else! We aren't the same complexion exactly, but I feel like you are still out here for us! I didn't feel like your personality was compromised on your way to the top either so THANK YOU for keeping it real, for not selling out, and for not giving up!
