Man of Constant Sorrow. Brothers at Arms. End of the Road. Listen to the Music. Brother. Everybody Walking This Land. Folsom Prison Blues. Just hold off on Mayday until you've listened to at least 7 of their songs. You really won't appreciate it as much if you don't.
Home Free isn't just 'Southern" or just "country". They have country, sacred, hilarious, somber, pop, even opera. Their catalog is deep and wide - over 160 official videos at this point, going back to late 2013. enjoy the rabbit hole. HF was created in 2000/2001 by Chris and Adam Rupp (baritone and beatboxer). Over the next 12 years there were various tenors and basses. Rob joined around 2010/2011, Tim a bit later and Austin in 2012. They won season 4 of The Sing Off in 2013. Chris left in 2016 to follow his solo career and they brought in Adam Chance as baritone/bass.
I'm here because of Home Free! We are called Home Fries! You can't go wrong with any of their videos/songs. They are fantastic! I have seen them live 3 times in the last year. And I'm ready for more. The list of videos is SOOOO long. And not one is bad. Ones I really like: Helplessly Hoping Seven Bridges Road Folsom Prison Blues Sea Shanty Medley Hillbilly Bone..... Then the list continues!
@@ms.chuckfu1088 They're in Canton, OH tonight, then they'll be on their way to Germany, I think to finish off their European tour that got slaughtered by the US quarantine. They'll be back mid-October. My ticket is for early December, for my fourth Home Free show. Oops, sorry. As Tim has often said: It's not a show, it's a party.
My favorite vocal band! Try "Listen to the Music", " Love Train", "End of the Road", "When a Man Loves a Woman", "Helplessly Hoping" (covers). Their newer releases, mostly post-pandemic, are originals, my favorite of all those "Playing With Fire." You can't go wrong -- their talents are equalled by their diversity. They are, by name: Austin Brown (high tenor), Rob Lundquist (tenor), Adam Chance (baritone/bass), Tim Foust (bass with a 5 octave range), and last but not least, Adam Rupp (percussionist who swallowed his drum kit). I enjoyed your double feature and your comments! More Home Free, please!
These guys are off the charts good. Okay I think you would like “When a Man Loves a Woman”. Austin does a great job on this one. And Take me Home Country Roads. Thank you. I enjoyed your reaction. ❤
NICE!!! ⭐️ That deep rumble bass ending note on Ring of Fire is just so satisfying to listen to…and I loved the campfire setting. Good choice on their part.✅ Well done. Thanks for this video and I’m also interested to hear the Take me Home Country Roads one sometime soon. Loved your reaction to When a Man loves a Woman. That was such a great song.🎶
Home Free line-up: Adam Rupp (beat-boxer, tenor and also co-founder of the group along with his brother Chris Rupp who is no longer performing with the group); Rob Lundquist (main tenor and whistler extraordinaire), Tim Foust (bass with a five-octave range), Austin Brown (angelic high tenor), and Adam Chance (baritone and mouth-harp as heard in the group's cover of Man of Constant Sorrow). These guys have incredible range and skill individually and collectively. And they could sing the phone book and make it seem like a hymn--or romantic--or funny. Nothing they can't do vocally!
Oh yes. Please feature more Home Free. They have so many songs, covers and originals that they have written themselves and every one of them is amazing.
I concur, everything they touch is gold, they cover rock. R&B, Country , Pop and Gospel, plus some of their own originals, I just subscribed so I can watch you go down their rabbit hole, let's go!
Home Free’s “How Great Thou Art” will give you cold chills, as will “God Bless the USA” featuring Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band. Also “Man of Constant Sorrow,” “American Pie” with Don McLean, and “Folsom Prison Blues.” For a roaring good time there is Home Free’s “Butts Remix.”
If you like country music and baseball, check their latest “Remember My Name”. Their summer party songs are “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, “Land of the Free”, “Summer in the Country”
Rob Lundquist (glasses & beard) from Minnesota, sings tenor; Adam Rupp, (bandana) from Minnesota and the best beatboxer; Tim Foust from Texas and their bass with a 5 octave range; Austin Brown (white shirt) from Georgia sings high tenor; and Chris Rupp (baseball cap), brother of Adam, baritone but has several octave range. Chris left the group in 2016 and was replaced by Adam Chance (goes by Chance) from Alabama, sings baritone but does the bass when Tim sings lead. On Ring of Fire, the last low note was done by Tim.
Home Free leans country but have done all genres including R&B, Rap, Opera, and sea shanty style. You just can't go wrong with our boys and we Home Fries love ushering in newbies.
The character with the beard is Rob Lundquist - tenor. You spotted the bass (Tim Faust). With over a 5 octave range, he can sing anything from low bass through tenor. Austin Brown (wearing the Oak Ridge Boys t-shirt) is the high tenor. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer and sings tenor when not beatboxing, and his brother Chris Rupp is a baritone. The teaser after Ring of Fire is an original song written by Tim. In the video, Avi makes a surprise appearance. When Avi walks past the camera watch Tim’s face. He had no idea Avi would photo bomb the video. Man of Constant Sorrow or Sea Shanty Medley will illustrate HFs amazing harmonies & world class beatboxing.
You guys just touched the tip of the Home Fry Universe. They are the best out there. I love Pentatonix and voice play, but home free is just absolutely unbelievable. They can do anything
End of the Road - Boyz II Men cover (features tenors Rob & Austin), Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits cover (features basses Tim & Chance & 5-part harmony), & Butts Remix (FUN) 💜💜💜
Home Free is labeled as a country acapella group, but they can do all genres of music from opera to R &he B and everything in between. They met Voiceplay when the two groups competed on the show The Sing-Off which was an acapella competition show on season four. They formed a close friendship during the show. Home Free won the competition. Home Free also met Pentatonix with Avi on The Sing-Off. Pentatonix as the season three winners of The Sing-Off were the guest performers for the season four finale. Home Free's performance of Ring of Fire was a turning point in the competition and in their career. It was through the show's challenges that Home Free began to become more aware of the extent of their abilities. Tim Foust is Home Free's bass. He has a five-octave range so he can also sing tenor and baritone. He is originally from Texas, but now lives in Nashville. Rob Lundquist, the man with the beard and glasses is the lead tenor. He has operatic training and his professors urged him to pursue a career in opera. He chose a different career path. He lives in Minnesota Austin Brown, the man in the Elvira t-shirt, is the high tenor. He had a full college scholarship in musical theater. He is originally from South Georgia, but now lives in Nashville. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer. He is probably one of the best beatboxers in the world. He is a tenor but prefers to beat box. He co-founded Home Free with his older brother Chris -his best friend Matt Attwood in 2001. Adam and Matt were teenagers. Matt and Chris are no longer members of Home Free. Adam, his brother Chris, and Adam's friend Matt all live in Minnesota where they started Home Free. Chris Rupp is Adam's older brother and co-founder of Home Free. He is the guy with the hat on Elvira. and the plaid shirt. He is a baritone. These two videos are older so Chris is in them. He quit the group several years ago to pursue individual projects. He also performs in another acapella group with his and Adam's sister Tristan. Adam Chance who is called Chance to prevent confusion became a member of the group after Chris resigned. He isn't in these two videos. Chance has a four-octave range. He usually sings baritone, but can also sing bass. He previously sang in another acapella group that the first runner up on season two of The Sing-Off. Chance is from Alabama, but lives in California. Home wFree does not have a lead singer. They all sing lead except the Rupp brothers. Besides Home Free, the members have their individual solo projects and projects with other musicians. The guys are humble down to earth guys who work hard at their art. Suggestions: End of the Road, Man of Constant Sorrow, Buttz Remi, Talking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Listen to the Music. These songs show their wide range. However, you can't really go wrong with any of their songs.
Chris did occasionally sing lead, but seemed to prefer to write arrangements where he sang harmony, and since he did a lot of their arrangements, he did a lot of harmony. But the songs arranged by Adam, Tim, and Austin were more likely to include him on a lead part. Adam often sings little bits of harmony here and there. Their videographers are notorious for not showing him singing, though, so it's hard to pick out. Heck, he sang full-on lead for a bit in My Country Tis of Thee and we got a wide shot with him in silhouette. He also has short lead parts in How Great Thou Art and Quarantine.
@@lrfcowper Adam does sing small parts but he doesn't sing a large part as the others do. He sang one of his largest parts when he sang the chorus of It is Well With My Soul as a part of How Great Thou Art . A great example of Chris singing is on his channel. He sings Long Black Train with Tim. Adam started beatboxing when Home Free began. The group didn't have a beatboxer and Adam volunteered to do it. He started studying how to do beatboxing by watching a video tape. Adam had majored in music and he played several instruments. He also learned to play the drums to help his beatboxing.
When a Man Loves a Woman, End of the Road and American Pie. My more obscure favorite is One Voice the saddest and most emotional song I have ever heard.
The Oakridge Boys are friends and mentors of Home Free, they sometimes surprise Home Free when HF plays at the Grand Ole Opry. One of things we home fries love about Home Free is their humility and lack of ego. When they collaborate with other artists they always give the spotlight to their guests. They also vote on who leads in any song they perform. They have collaborations with Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood and Don McLean, Don and Kenny contacted Home Free to do collaborations with them. Will save more information until next time. So glad to see you enjoying our guys. Subbed to see how deep you go down the Home Free rabbit hole, you won't be disappointed.
I don't think anyones mention the Stargazer Trilogy. While stuck at home (although they were still doing videos for their arranger to put together and post every other Friday) during quarantine Austin and Tim did a good amount of song writing. Thus was born their album So Long Dixie, with 12 of 14 tracks being originals. The trilogy is Give Me a Sign, Stargazer Lilies, and MR. All beautiful songs and heart warming videos, with Austin and his beloved lady Amberly telling a story of their love. Note: the photographer in the hallway with Amberly in MR is Sami, Chance's wife.
My list for the first two would be: The Butts medley for fun and for a few tears Go rest high on that Mountain. I agree that somewhere in the mix should be A Man of Constant Sorrow almost every reactor has done that one first though.
These guys are the guys next door acapella band. No egos. They are all about the music and the fans. They can and do all types of music. You can't go wrong with any of the hundreds of songs they sing. My favorite band by far. Keep the HF coming and this home fry will sub.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole 🕳. They do all genres of music, tend to lean more towards country. The thing to note any videos from 2013 thru May 2016 Chris Rupp wore the baseball cap in Elvira left the group and from May 2016 to present is Adam Chance baritone/Bass singer. Suggestions, Moonshine, Good Ol Boy Good Time, Meant To Be, Yours, My Church,
Loved your reactions to these songs. Home Free fans are called Home Fries. Welcome to the rabbit hole. You'll learn all the guys real fast. They are all cut ups, but can be serious too. Any song yall choose to do will be ok. Can't wait to see more.
I have a fun fact about the bass singer of The Oak Ridge Boys, prior to joining them he was a member of a group called J D Sumner And The Stamps Quartet who sang backup vocals for Elvis Presley!!
Great start down the Home Free rabbit hole. Love these guys. I suggest a few that are quite different from these two - Helplessly Hoping which is a master class in 5-part harmony; When A Man Loves A Woman, which highlights Austin Brown, their high tenor; their cover of the Doobie Brothers' iconic Listen to the Music, which showcases Adam Rupp, the amazing vocal percussionist; Blue Aint Your Color, which features Rob Lundquist, the second tenor; I Can't Outrun You, which features Adam Chance, the bass/baritone; Forever and Ever, Amen, led by Tim Foust, the bass; and one of their very recent originals, Playing With Fire. But anywhere you start in their very deep and varied catalog you will not be disappointed.
You have no idea the treasure you just stumbled upon. Tim Foust the bass has a 5 octave range, Adam Rupp the beatboxer can sing and is a multiple time beat boxer world champion, Adam Chance who took the place of one of the group in these videos can sing low too and makes them amazing. Austin the one in the Oakridge boys tshirt is an amazing song writer and a power house tenor. The great bearded Tenor Rob Lundquist is absolutely hilarious and can sing anything you put in front of him from country, rap, to Opera. I love Pentatonix and Voice Play. But this group is phenomenal
@@donnamoskowitz4978 you beat me to it lol. I kept reading that Adam was WBBC twice, so I watched all the competitions on YT. Saw some great beat boxing but no Adam. That being said, the only one that possibly could have beaten him ( in my opinion ) was the one from Vietnam. Crazy good.
HF has done several collaborations. Personal opinion is doing "American Pie" w/Don McLean.. The beard is Rob, 2nd tenor. DooRag is Adam Rupp, co-founder and beatboxer (occasionally tenor). Long hair is Tim Foust, bass with a HUGE 5 octave range. White shirt is Austin, 1st tenor. Hat is Chris Rupp (Adam's brother & co-founder), baritone who left in 2017 for solo career and was replaced by Chance who can also do bass and has a 4+ octave range.
And only one change in the group since then. Chris was on The Sing Off with Home Free. Chance was on The Sing Off season 2 with SCS, and replaced Chris in Home Free in 2016.
Voice Play has REALLY come a long way since that competition! They've always been good, but in the last 2 or 3 years they have become magnificent members of the A Capella Trifecta! 💖
SORRY... But, while Home Free (+ Voice Play + Filharmonic) competed in The Sing Off Season 4 -- the show skipped 2012, making Season 4 TWO years later than Season 3 (in 2011 won by Pentatonix).
The Oak Ridge Boys and Home Free respect each other immensely. Thanks to Geoff Castellucci for doing the arrangement for this video. Home Free and Voiceplay are great friends too.
Gonna now add some songs. So, covers - Hillbilly Bone, Some Girls Do, Folsom Prison Blues, Man of Constant Sorrow. Originals - So Long Dixie, Road Sweet Road, Playing With Fire. Just to start!!
@itzel1735 Yes, Chris Chatham is an absolutely great guitarist and singer as well. If you haven't checked out Sweet and Low Music Co, Chris is part of that group with Tim and Austin. They do great things too!!
@@kristelwrightcochran2858 😅 I’ve even watched the country “Edge of Glory” Tim and Chatham and their two buddies did from before Tim joined Home Free. 🏠🍟
I highly recommend new reactors check out Workin' for a Living for a number of reasons: 1) It's their current lineup (these two you reacted to don't include Chance, their current baritone), 2) It gives you a good idea of their sense of humor, 3) You can hear all the guys different parts, 4) You get to experience one of their beatboxer's most amazing skills, 5) They give all the guy's names at the beginning of the video. I highly encourage you to check it out before other videos of theirs to get their names and parts better in mind.
Welcome to the world of "HOME FRIES" , we love watching newcomers reacting to the wonderful world of awesome. There is NO leader to this group, you never know who the lead singer is going to be. It is difficult to name one song but I will suggest before you watch some of the "quirky" videos you start with "How great thou art" beautiful scenery and even the beat boxer sings in this one instead of beat boxing. Then you can go wild over all the genres and craziness they can produce.
2 of the member, Tim Foust, the bass, and Austin Brown, high tenor, actually live in the Nashville area. I look forward to your journey. My favorite is Take Me Home Country Roads.
You guys have just introduced yourselves to the best of the trifecta of a capella groups P.T.X. Voice Play and Home Free they have been a group since 2000 and winning the sing off the year after P.T.X. but the thing is that that they all have been friends for years and support each other's work. Great reaction guys
Just spin the wheel and see what it lands on 😂 It'll be great! In some videos the harmonies will blow you away. In some videos certain individuals shine. In some it's their humor that makes you almost forget to listen. In some videos it's "their own twist" that will leave you smiling (All About That Bass, for example.) It's hard to grow tired of Home Free because they bring a new element with each performance 💜 Y'all are awesome!
Welcome to Home Free, they will not disappoint you!!! The names are Rob (black shirt), Adam Rupp (bandana), Tim Foust ( guy with black coat), Austin Brown(Oakridge t-shirt) and Chris Rupp (baseball cap), but Chris is no longer with the band. He was replaced by Adam Chance. And those are the home free guys.
Great first reaction. You will notice one lineup change when you watch more recent videos. In 2016, a couple of years after HF won the sing off, Chris Rupp (original group founder) left to concentrate on producing and solo work. He was replaced by Adam Chance (bari/bass). While the change was sad for us Home Fries (fans) in many ways it has given the group more flexibility and allowed Tim (super bass) to take the lead and swap bass roles with Chance when called for. Start with Man of Constant Sorrow Then - In The Blood Hillbilly Bone Some Girls Do As already noted, you can't go wrong with anything HF does.
I'd like o add " Blue Ain't Your Color " and "Brother" to your list. Two of my favorite videos they do. I also love " Mayday" but you should hold off a little on that one.
You have only dipped your little toe into the Home Free pool. The rabbit hole is wide, deep and so varied. They run the gamut of what they do…..country, R&B, gospel, oldies…the list goes on. I have been a Home Fry since I ran across them here on RUclips in February 2016 while recovering from shoulder surgery. These guys are serious, funny, patriotic, 100% real people. These guys are the absolute best (as far as I’m concerned 😁). I don’t listen to any other acapella group…..no need to. Subscribing for more Hime Free.👍🏼❤️
For cool harmony...Helplessly Hoping For R&B...End Of the Road For fun...Butts Remix, Champagne Taste, Country Fried Pop And everything in between...Unchained Melody, Folsom Prison Blues, How Great Thou Art, and if you want to MOVE...Listen to the Music...You can't sit still. For Christmas...O Holy Night and Do You Hear What I Hear?
Next, Folsum Prison Blues, Crazy, and Hillbilly Bone. Home free has been together since 2000 when the beatboxer (Adam) and his brother Chris (baritone, wearing a hat) started it when they were in college. In 20 + yrs, there have been some changes but the last change was in 2016, when Chris left the group and Chance stepped in. If nothing else, you will learn tgat Home Free consistently defies being put in a box. From the songs they sing, to who sings lead and even who will sing bass...you never know what you will find with a Home Free video. They can seriously sing pretty much anything from sea shanties to opera!
They won the 4th season of the Sing Off. Watch them on RUclips!! They have some amazing covers. My favorite is the Butts Medley....A MUST LISTEN!!! Brother in Arms makes me cry. Their live shows are amazing and Tim, the bass singer is known for blowing speakers out at concerts. I would love to see more Voiceplay, PTX and Home Free. Acapella music helps my chronic pain issues so much, and I love a really good bass!!!
Born and raised in SC and it’s the norm having barn fires from fall to early spring every yr. Ok here goes. You’ll have to figure out who’s who…….Austin Brown, auburn hair, 1st tenor, Rob Lundquist, black hair, beard, glasses, 2nd tenor, Tim Foust, long black hair, Bass/Baritone, he also has a 5 octave range that’s unbelievable, Adam Chance, who wasn’t in this one has dark brown hair with a trimmed beard and stash, bass and I’m not sure if he’d be considered a tenor as well, so don’t hold me to that. Then there’s Adam Rupp……. The blond, world class beatboxer, literally, who also helps with vocals some. When a Man Loves a Woman, Unchained Melody, American Pie ft. Don McLean, The Butts Remix, The Sea Shanty Medley, Mayday, Brothers in Arms, How Great Thou Art. That should get you started. Welcome!!!
. Avi is also on a video they did the next day still wearing the cowboy hat it's an origanal written by Tim Foist their bass that does so much more with g is 5 octave range it's call champagne taste on a beer budget. It's one with some comedy.
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there with a 5 octave range & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound.
@@TouchyReactions Some of my favorites are "Man Of Constant Sorrow", "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "Helplessly Hoping", "Seven Bridges Road", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music" etc.
2 of the members of Home Free live in Tennessee nowadays. They were on The Sing Off show, which was for acapella groups. PTX and Voice Play were too. PTX was season 3 and Voice Play and Home Free were in season 4. PTX won season 3 and Home Free won season 4. Hope you can check out more of these guys. They do have a big following of fans called "The Home Fries".
Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they can honestly sing any genre and they do As you know they won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is Sorry for the long read
The Oaks and Home Free have great affection and respect for each other. The Oaks appeared on HF's streamed Christmas special a couple of years ago, the the song 'Star of Bethlehem' is amazing!
They are fantastic live! They've been together in the current configuration on sine 2016, but the group was founded in 2000 by Chris Rupp (cap in Elvira) and his brother, Adam ( vocal percussion). In 2014 they were asked by Sing-Off people if they'd be country. Since they were leaning that way, it wasn't muc h of stretch, but they can sing literally anything. If you want something that kind of introduces them, their cover of Workin' Fot a Living is good. It's also funny. If you want to see them all do a little beatboxing and other sounds, Man of Constant Sorrow is good. For perfect (or near perfect) 5 part harmony, Helplessly Hoping or How Great Thou Art. They have more collabs, too...with Lee Greenwood and the Singing Sargents from the US Air Force Band,, Kenny Rogers, and a great version of American Pie with Don McClean. They also have many originals. Welcome to the rabbit hole!
Welcome to the 3rd of the a capella trifecta! These guys are magnificent no matter what they sing! Beat boxer is a world champ! The bass, Tim, actually taught Geoff of Voice Play how to hit his lowest lows! Austin, high tenor is an amazing solo talent! Rob, tenor has the voice of an angel. Chance, baritone, can do bass when Tim solos. And Tim, the bass, can hit speaker blowing lows & soprano highs! They can make you cry or fall on the floor laughing! The epitome of "good ol' boys". Avi's been in a couple of their videos snd Rob & Tim have guested in Voice Play videos! One big happy community. Enjoy! 💖
Caution: Home Free is highly addictive. As with all the acapella bands you'll find your subscriptions rise exponentially by playing them. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. They tour 150-200 shows a year so there are also plenty of live videos. Finally, they each have channel(s) of their own - you can't run out of content. They sing everything from gospel to goofy. Fall down the Home Free rabbit hole!
No matter what they sing, they'll always sound a little 'country' - both the bass (Tim) & high tenor (Austin) are from the deep south (southeast Texas & south Georgia, respectively). There are yt histories of the band.
This version of Home Free contains Chris Rupp, the co- founder of Home Free. He stepped down in 2016 to allow Adam Chance to join the group. I'm sure that he felt as I do that Chance would elevate the group to a new and higher level as I believe he has. The group now consists of Adam Rupp, the beat boxer, Austin Brown, High tenor, Rob Lundquist, tenor, Adam Chance, the baritone, Tim Faust, the base with a five octave range.
Chris Rupp left the group to concentrate on his solo projects. The remaining four members invited Adam Chance (aka Chance) to join the group in 2016.@@TouchyReactions
@EddieVick-xh1fq they are amazing. I was lucky since they were in Oregon for Tim's Oregon Getaway, so they had shows close to me. One in Albany, an hour away from me. And the second in Tillamook, 3 hours away from me. Missed the Getaway due to having to work. But am definitely going next year, as it has already been announced.
New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas that excel in all music genres. They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, American Pie featuring Don McLean, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints, The Driver, Crazy and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone and Ray Stevens' Mississippi Squirrel Revival. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother and their latest: Stargazer Lilies trilogy, Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies and Mr. ...the list goes on. To switch it up..try Two Country Singers try singing Opera. Adam Chance just wrote the theme song to Ubisoft's new Pirate themed video game, Skull and Bones and Home Free performs it. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
@@TouchyReactions It certainly is a big list, but it could be much bigger lol! And you can't go wrong with any of their songs so it's really difficult to pick which you should do before others...
Honey, I'm Good Folsom Prison Blues Man of Contsant Sorrow Listen to the Music Are must watch guys! I really appreciate reactors who listens to the bass drops of Tim. Thank you for this wonderful reaction. I'm looking forward for more of Home free especially these songs.
Great reaction! If they come live near you again, see them. I saw them late last year and they were amazing! IMO, the beatboxer makes Home Free the best acapella group out there.
You've only just begun... Home Free can do almost any genre and when they do, they DO IT!... Other songs: Man of Constant Sorrow (from Brother Where Art Thou); When A Man Loves A Woman (Percy Sledge/Michael Bolton cover); End Of The Road (Boyz II Men cover); American Pie ft. Don Maclean; Butts Remix (lots of fun!); Helplessly Hoping (Steven Stills cover); Brothers In Arms; Delta Dawn; How Great Thou Art; Mary Did You Know; Mayday (CAM cover); Crazy (Patsy Cline cover); Down to the Honkytonk; Listen to the Music (Doobie Bros cover); Folsom Prison Blues (Johnny Cash cover); Unchained Melody (Righteous Bros cover); Go Rest On That Mountain (Vince Gill cover); Champaign on a Beer Budget... just for a few. Enjoy!
Loved the double feature! Home Free = fun loving group of just plain good guys with exceptional vocal talent. While I appreciate the talent of Pentatonix and Voice Play, it is Home Free's music that I listen to over and over again. Subbed for more Home Free 😁
Just subscribed. Nice reaction! Love Home Free! Oh, you cannot put any of them in a box. You'll be surprised. They don't just do country either. They do covers and originals. They also have a fantastic sense of humor. Enjoy!
Geoff C and Tim Foust (the bass for Home Free) have known each other since at least 2013, when both groups were on The Sing-Off for season 4 - Home Free won that year (the same show that Pentatonix won season 3, although 2 years prior). I don't know if they knew each other prior to that - certainly possible, as the a cappella groups are a pretty small community at the level they are performing. I know Tim has actually helped Geoff with his bass "growl" technique, since Tim has pretty much perfected that, and tends to use it instead of the subharmonics that Geoff tends to use for the really, REALLY low notes. And obviously Avi from PTX knows Tim - Avi has appeared (although not sung) in a couple of other Home Free videos. As you mentioned, HF tends to have a more "country" tone and song selection, but like the other a cappella groups, they can do any genre they decide to. The song most reactors use as an introduction to HF (besides Ring of Fire) is probably Man of Constant Sorrow - and as you've already heard Geoff's cover, it should be interesting for you to listen to HF's cover as well - pretty different versions of the same song!
I kind of scanned the comments and didn’t see anyone telling you about the guys. Austin Brown was the one in the white shirt singing the high part is the high tenor. Rob Lundquist is the tenor with the big beard. Chris Rupp is the guy on the end with the hat and he was the baritone/bass. He left in 2016 to start a solo career and Adam Chance became the new baritone/bass (not in either of these two older videos) Tim Foust is the bass singer with a 5 octave range. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer extraordinaire! They all can sing lead and Adam (beatboxer) sings in several songs when they do gorgeous 5 part harmonies!
You have heard the rest now you have heard the best! They lean country but can do any genre. You can't go wrong with any of their music but may I suggest "Man of Constant Sorrow" then When A Man Loves A Woman.....2 complete different genres
Avi tipped his hat to Tim’s last note. The Oak Ridge Boys recognized Home Free’s respect for the original. Watch how the tenner holds his hand over Austin’s performance. Both groups were masterful with this song, and it seems both had fun doing it. Mutual respect all around.
Glasses guy is Rob and he’s a tenor, bandana is Adam beatboxer, tshirt guy is Austin’s high tenor, cap is Chris Rupp co-founder of group along with his brother the beatboxer; and the bass is Tim
The crew is as follows. Austin Brown - High Tenor, Rob Lundquist (guy with beard) tenor, Adam Rupp - beat boxer, Chris Rupp (Cowboy Hat) no longer with the group and Tim Foust - Bass and has a 5 octave range. In later videos you will see Adam Chance - soprano and can fill in for Tim as bass at times. Welcome to Home Free.
Adam Chance (referred to as simply Chance when he's singing with Home Free since there was already an Adam) is a bass/baritone. He sang bass in his previous group Street Corner Symphony but sings mostly baritone with the group. Except when Tim take his 5 octaves to a higher range, the Chance sings bass.
You will love this group with their variety of music, not just one genre of music.. They will make you laugh, smile, and possibly tear up as well.. They are beyond talented.. you will find that out when you continue the journey.. " Man of constant sorrow" is another good one to listen for starting out.
Home Free actually arranged Ring of Fire for their competition on Season 4 of The Sing-Off. All of their performances from the show are on RUclips. I recommend the ones with the judges' comments.
Look for the ones on Ingrid Händel's channel. There's an older (and therefore more viewed) set of Sing-Off recordings, but they're lower quality (but very much appreciated for being the only recordings available for a long time). She has the whole season up, split into individual videos. They're well-labeled, though, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding the Home Free performances. Don't miss Home Free and The Filharmonic doing "I'm Alright" in... I think it's episode 5, but not positive, and them performing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with Jewell in the final episode. Some folks only look for their competition songs and miss these. The groups they were up against were all very good, so if you have time, it's worth watching the full thing. If you're familiar with VoicePlay, just a warning, The Sing-Off execs encouraged them to bring a female singer on board to distinguish themselves a bit more from the zillions of "4-6 guys sing a cappella" groups out there. They'd originally wanted Rachel Potter, but she wasn't available, so they went with another friend, Honey LaRochelle. Unfortunately, they didn't really have time to figure out this new dynamic before filming started, so a lot of their songs ended up being more female soloist + backup band rather than the group you know today. A lot of folks dislike Honey for this, but I'm fairly certain it was Geoff and Layne who did most of their arrangements for the show, so it was definitely a group choice. BTW, Home Free is a country vocal band because of Sing-Off meddling. They tried out with a couple country songs and The Sing-Off execs told them being a country a cappella group would almost definitely get them on the show, so Home Free went from being a generic pop a cappella group that did a couple country songs to an explicitly country group that did some pop songs.
Elvira is one of my favorite videos of them to watch, just to see them interact with the Oak Ridge Boys. There's a level of respect there, but also friendly competition in a way, yet they're encouraging each other rather than trying to show each other up. It's just awesome to see.
You’ve got to do another double feature with these guys doing the songs Man of Constant sorrow followed by Mayday. These will show the range and talent of the group. Other fun songs are Sea Shanty Medley, Your Man, American Pie featuring Don Maclean, and God Bless the USA featuring Lee Greenwood.
Tim Foust is most incredible….he has a 5+ Octave Range….kinda Mind Blowing 🙃🎶🎵🎶💗🔥‼️ Adam Rupp … the vocal percussionist is also called … the “Alien” … What a guy… &, the sounds he can make ….. just Amazing 🙃🎵🙃💗
Wait on Mayday. Four to six songs into their library is WAY too soon! Get to know them better both before Chris left and especially after Chance came on board before tackling Mayday.
A couple of things ... the top three acapella groups (in no particular order) - Pentatonix, Home Free, VoicePlay - have very different styles, have collaborated together, and are actually friends. When The Oak Ridge Boys did this song, they had a band playing the music behind them while they sang. Here, they are all singing their normal parts, while Home Free is providing all of the 'backing music' . While they did switch off some lead melody parts with HF, the Oak Ridge Boys sang the song exactly as they did 40 some years ago.
That last bass note was Home Free' own bass Tim Foust and he sustained it for awhile. He has a five plus octave range and d Rob (with the beard) is a fabulous tenor.
Yay!!! Thanks for a great reaction! Sub’d for more Home Free! They’re a great talented group of guys, super down to earth too. You can’t go wrong with any of their songs 😊
The Oaks approached Home Free to do this with them; that’s how respected they are
Impressive
Homefree is my absolute favorite accapela group. Welcome down the Homefree rabbit hole
-Man of Constant Sorrow
-Fulsom Prison Blues
These are good starting points. Honestly it's hard to go wrong.
Thanks Word Poet
Any song is a great song. Any. Everyone the cover, they do it better.
Calling AUSTIN mid-range. Haha😂😂😂😂 now ya have to do When a Man Loves a Woman. 😊
Man of Constant Sorrow and Folsom Prison Blues are great songs to do early on, I feel, so I concur!
Man of Constant Sorrow When a Man Loves a Woman
Two Country Singers Try to Sing Opera
Absolutely LOVE HOMEFREE ❤🎉
Man of Constant Sorrow. Brothers at Arms. End of the Road. Listen to the Music. Brother. Everybody Walking This Land. Folsom Prison Blues. Just hold off on Mayday until you've listened to at least 7 of their songs. You really won't appreciate it as much if you don't.
You are the second person to tell me to hold off on Mayday till later. I hear you.
Man of Constant Sorrow is a great place to start. These guys are brilliant artists. Thanks for reacting!
Thanks Dani
Thanks Nancy
Wonderful summary, Nancy!
Man of constant sorrow and Sea Shanty Medley.
Thanks Larry
I'm here because of Home Free! We are called Home Fries!
You can't go wrong with any of their videos/songs. They are fantastic! I have seen them live 3 times in the last year. And I'm ready for more.
The list of videos is SOOOO long. And not one is bad.
Ones I really like:
Helplessly Hoping
Seven Bridges Road
Folsom Prison Blues
Sea Shanty Medley
Hillbilly Bone.....
Then the list continues!
They came to our town (Knoxville) a few months ago. I wanted to react to them before seeing them live though.
Thank you, Elizabeth. We're glad you enjoyed it.
Add "love train" & "Try Everything" to this suggestion list. 😉🥰🥰
@@momD612 will do
These guys are off the charts good. Okay I think you would like “When a Man Loves a Woman”. Austin does a great job on this one. And Take me Home Country Roads. Thank you. I enjoyed your reaction. ❤
Added! Thanks for the help
NICE!!! ⭐️ That deep rumble bass ending note on Ring of Fire is just so satisfying to listen to…and I loved the campfire setting. Good choice on their part.✅
Well done.
Thank you Mona
Home Free is the best! They're the world's first All vocal Country band. Subscribed for Home Free ❤
Thanks Ruth
@@TouchyReactions 🥰🤗
Ruth is absolutely correct this is a rabbit hole to go down these guys are amazing.
@@TouchyReactions Trust Ruth ! That's my gal fry ! *chuckle I swear I'm not stalking you Ruth ! *giggle !
@@patrickhumphreys5851 🥰
Oh yes. Please feature more Home Free. They have so many songs, covers and originals that they have written themselves and every one of them is amazing.
Tim the bass singer did that last note. He also has a 5 range octave!
That's crazy. Wow
Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their songs. You are going to love them once you get to know them!
Thanks Butch
I concur, everything they touch is gold, they cover rock. R&B, Country , Pop and Gospel, plus some of their own originals, I just subscribed so I can watch you go down their rabbit hole, let's go!
Home Free’s “How Great Thou Art” will give you cold chills, as will “God Bless the USA” featuring Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band. Also “Man of Constant Sorrow,” “American Pie” with Don McLean, and “Folsom Prison Blues.” For a roaring good time there is Home Free’s “Butts Remix.”
Thank you, Judith
If you like country music and baseball, check their latest “Remember My Name”.
Their summer party songs are
“Can’t Stop the Feeling”,
“Land of the Free”,
“Summer in the Country”
Thank you 😊
Rob Lundquist (glasses & beard) from Minnesota, sings tenor; Adam Rupp, (bandana) from Minnesota and the best beatboxer; Tim Foust from Texas and their bass with a 5 octave range; Austin Brown (white shirt) from Georgia sings high tenor; and Chris Rupp (baseball cap), brother of Adam, baritone but has several octave range.
Thank you Kathy
Thanks Carolyn
You guys just touched the tip of the Home Fry Universe. They are the best out there. I love Pentatonix and voice play, but home free is just absolutely unbelievable. They can do anything
Thanks Bryan
End of the Road - Boyz II Men cover (features tenors Rob & Austin), Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits cover (features basses Tim & Chance & 5-part harmony), & Butts Remix (FUN) 💜💜💜
Thanks Diane
He lives in Minnesota
Austin Brown, the man in the Elvira t-shirt, is the high tenor.
You are no Lazy Lady. Thanks for taking all the time to put this together. It really helps.
@@lazylady8591 Yup. Well aware of the history.
When a Man Loves a Woman, End of the Road and American Pie. My more obscure favorite is One Voice the saddest and most emotional song I have ever heard.
Thanks Todd
Thank you Marcia 😊 💓
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. The Home Fries will flock to your channel. Enjoy the ride.
Can't wait! Thanks
You are the first to recommend these. Thanks.
They are wonderful, you'll adore them.@@TouchyReactions
My list for the first two would be: The Butts medley for fun and for a few tears Go rest high on that Mountain. I agree that somewhere in the mix should be A Man of Constant Sorrow almost every reactor has done that one first though.
Thank you 😊 💓
Home Free is simply the best. They never miss on a song. Thanks for the reaction.
These guys are the guys next door acapella band. No egos. They are all about the music and the fans. They can and do all types of music. You can't go wrong with any of the hundreds of songs they sing. My favorite band by far. Keep the HF coming and this home fry will sub.
Thanks Bobbie 😊. More to come
Listen to Brotners in Arms, a cover. You'll see what each singer is so well known for. I don't know the group overly well, but I love their vibe!!!
Thanks Patti
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole 🕳. They do all genres of music, tend to lean more towards country. The thing to note any videos from 2013 thru May 2016 Chris Rupp wore the baseball cap in Elvira left the group and from May 2016 to present is Adam Chance baritone/Bass singer. Suggestions, Moonshine, Good Ol Boy Good Time, Meant To Be, Yours, My Church,
Thanks Cat

I have a fun fact about the bass singer of The Oak Ridge Boys, prior to joining them he was a member of a group called J D Sumner And The Stamps Quartet who sang backup vocals for Elvis Presley!!
That is a fun fact
Thanks for all the recommendations
Wow, you've got me excited Rick. 😊
Please stop saying Adam is a world champion beatboxer! Adam has stated he never competed and never will. Thank you!
Thank you Dale
Austin has that shirt framed in his home since it was autographed by the Oak Ridge Boys.
@barbarakennedy2667 I'd frame it too. Very rare treasure.
Home Free won The Sing Off the year after Pentatonix , Voiceplay competed the same year
And only one change in the group since then.

@@shilohauraable They really have.
SORRY... But, while Home Free (+ Voice Play + Filharmonic) competed in The Sing Off Season 4 -- the show skipped 2012, making Season 4 TWO years later than Season 3 (in 2011 won by Pentatonix).
"Listen to the Music". Thanks
They did a really nice version of this old Doobie Bros song. Close to the original. Not country.

@itzel1735 I have, too. I love this group and each of the things they do individually.
Thank you Glenda
2 of the member, Tim Foust, the bass, and Austin Brown, high tenor, actually live in the Nashville area. I look forward to your journey. My favorite is Take Me Home Country Roads.

They are very respectful to those who have established themselves in the music industry.
You guys have just introduced yourselves to the best of the trifecta of a capella groups P.T.X. Voice Play and Home Free they have been a group since 2000 and winning the sing off the year after P.T.X. but the thing is that that they all have been friends for years and support each other's work.
Start with Man of Constant Sorrow

In The Blood
Hillbilly Bone

I love that. Can't wait to dive in.
Thanks again Patti
Yes !!! All three. I am a fan of all three groups. Each is unique in they're own way !
Welcome!!!
Thank you so much Sherry. This was helpful.
Avi was going out on his own at this point. Home Free is very generous supporting other artists. Here they were introducing Avi to their audience ✌️
Thanks Pamela
Thanks Dagmar
@@TouchyReactions Some of my favorites are "Man Of Constant Sorrow", "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "Helplessly Hoping", "Seven Bridges Road", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music" etc.
I second all of Dagmars' recommendations!
Thanks, we will definitely be checking out more.
Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole.
The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp
They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they can honestly sing any genre and they do
As you know they won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.
Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys.

They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is
Sorry for the long read
Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to put all of this together.
@@TouchyReactions No Problem us Home Fries are always here to help 😊
Thank you Sally. 😊 lots of help
Enjoy! 💖
Thank you 😊
Caution: Home Free is highly addictive.
Thank you Teresa 😊 💓
They are amazing live.
Thanks Claude
Chris Rupp left the group to concentrate on his solo projects. The remaining four members invited Adam Chance (aka Chance) to join the group in 2016.@@TouchyReactions
You are gonna love this rabbit hole!! Keep 'em coming. I saw Home Free twice in 1 week. Amazing shows. Cannot wait to see them again!!
So good!
Twice in one week.... I'm so jealous. Lol
Yikes, that's a big list
@@TouchyReactions It certainly is a big list, but it could be much bigger lol! And you can't go wrong with any of their songs so it's really difficult to pick which you should do before others...
Honey, I'm Good
Folsom Prison Blues
Man of Contsant Sorrow
Listen to the Music
Are must watch guys! I really appreciate reactors who listens to the bass drops of Tim. Thank you for this wonderful reaction. I'm looking forward for more of Home free especially these songs.
Thank you so much 💓 💗
Great reaction! If they come live near you again, see them. I saw them late last year and they were amazing! IMO, the beatboxer makes Home Free the best acapella group out there.
Thanks Mike. More to come.
Enjoy!
Thanks Chris, great list
Two country singers try to sing Opera. Rob and Austin.
Loved the double feature! Home Free = fun loving group of just plain good guys with exceptional vocal talent. While I appreciate the talent of Pentatonix and Voice Play, it is Home Free's music that I listen to over and over again. Subbed for more Home Free 😁
Thank you 😊
Just subscribed. Nice reaction! Love Home Free! Oh, you cannot put any of them in a box. You'll be surprised. They don't just do country either. They do covers and originals. They also have a fantastic sense of humor. Enjoy!
Ditto! What ☝️said
Awesome thank you! They look like a fun group of dudes.
Thanks Badger
The bass of home free his name is Tim foust and he always uses his hands when going super bass
Thanks Dewey 😊
I kind of scanned the comments and didn’t see anyone telling you about the guys.
Austin Brown was the one in the white shirt singing the high part is the high tenor.
Rob Lundquist is the tenor with the big beard.
Chris Rupp is the guy on the end with the hat and he was the baritone/bass. He left in 2016 to start a solo career and
Adam Chance became the new baritone/bass (not in either of these two older videos)
Tim Foust is the bass singer with a 5 octave range.
Adam Rupp is the beatboxer extraordinaire!
They all can sing lead and Adam (beatboxer) sings in several songs when they do gorgeous 5 part harmonies!
Thanks Donna 😊
You have heard the rest now you have heard the best! They lean country but can do any genre. You can't go wrong with any of their music but may I suggest "Man of Constant Sorrow" then When A Man Loves A Woman.....2 complete different genres
Thank You Evelyn
Thank you for checking out this amazing group! You will not be disappointed with any of their music (original and covers)
Thanks Pamela 😊
One other you should check out…..Austin and Rob sing operas Nessum Dorma. Will blow you away!
Thanks. I'll add it to my list.
Thanks Randall
You will love this group with their variety of music, not just one genre of music.. They will make you laugh, smile, and possibly tear up as well.. They are beyond talented.. you will find that out when you continue the journey.. " Man of constant sorrow" is another good one to listen for starting out.
Thank you Kevin
Brothers in arms, listen to the music and all the others
Thank you Vickie 😊 💓
Definitely “man f Constant Sorrow should be next. Can’t wait to see your reaction to that one.
Thanks Joy. I love that song.
I went to their concert last Saturday, it was so much fun. It was great! I'd go again and again.
One of the songs i would love for you guys to react to of Home Free is Fishin in the dark/ Boondocks.
I'll add them to the list
Man of constant sorrow, listen to the music!
Thank you Patience 😊
Try "Helplessy Hoping" for a master class in harmony ... Home Free is so amazing !
Thank you 😊 💓
Home Free actually arranged Ring of Fire for their competition on Season 4 of The Sing-Off. All of their performances from the show are on RUclips. I recommend the ones with the judges' comments.
Thanks Kristin
@@lrfcowper thank you so much
Elvira is one of my favorite videos of them to watch, just to see them interact with the Oak Ridge Boys.
Thanks Andrew
@@TouchyReactions No. Please wait on Mayday until you know who sings in what key and you're more familiar with them.
Tim Foust is most incredible….he has a 5+ Octave Range….kinda Mind Blowing 🙃🎶🎵🎶💗🔥‼️
Adam Rupp … the vocal percussionist is also called … the “Alien” … What a guy… &, the sounds he can make ….. just Amazing 🙃🎵🙃💗
American Pie. On the road again...
Thanks Ronald 😊
That last bass note was Home Free' own bass Tim Foust and he sustained it for awhile. He has a five plus octave range and d Rob (with the beard) is a fabulous tenor.
Yay!!! Thanks for a great reaction!
Sub’d for more Home Free! They’re a great talented group of guys, super down to earth too. You can’t go wrong with any of their songs 😊
Thanks Kelly 😊
