I've read all the Manson/Tate murders books........Tom O'Neill's 'Chaos' is the most interesting and by far the most credible.

I took LSD quite often from 1970-1986. I would guess that I averaged taking it 10 times a year during that time. My experiences w/ LSD were positive 90 % of the time. I NEVER had what you might call a "bad trip", but they could occasionally be boring or I sometimes took Acid at an inconvenient time & place. One time my then wife & I came home tripping from a New Years Eve party when my mother, who was babysitting our infant son met us at the door because the baby was sick & was running a high fever. We spent the night monitoring his fever while rocking him in the rocking chair & singing to him. THAT WAS A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE !

Lol this is nothing I am proud of but..
From Nov 2019 to August 2020 I took acid and psilocybin trips weekly.
After a few months the trips were still fun, but obviously the memories of them became blurry. I also would "candy flip" or "hippie flip" which involves taking a hit of MDMA when you are peaking.
I can say honestly that the LSD had a minimal impact on the girls.
Society at that time was in turmoil. It was well before the 1967 summer of love that this occured. Rebellion, drugs, sex, free love and rock and roll was the way to rebell.
All of the girls had done multiple trips before Manson, and almost all of them had a long criminal history. People tend to focus on the few who havent (like Mother Mary Brunner.)
Committing crimes therefore were seen as anti establishment. Especially if you did it to someone who was seen as part of the bourgeoisie at that time.
Therefore everything Manson used to "brainwash" these individuals were already used on them by their peers for YEARS before Manson was released.
Did he go out of his way to make certain self conscious girls to become more like him and the other women? Of course! But he did that LONG before Helter Skelter was even a theory. He was a con, an opportunist and he wanted sex, drugs and freedom.
In my opinion Helter Skelter was not only not only fallacious but it was an egregious misrepresentation of what Manson himself even said. They needed a sensationalist story to be able to target the counter culture. Their infiltration into the hippie scene via the FBI and CIA had produced some results but not enough. They needed a "smoking gun" and this one was one they had wished for for years.
Obviously its hard to articulate everything but that is just a quick synopsis of the information I have ascertained.. Have a good one!

Manson above everything wanted to be a singer song writer so when Melcher lead him on and rejected him. I can just imagine the rage, the wish to get even. I had no idea he'd done a creepy crawl at Melcher's Malibu home, I think the only reason he didn't kill Melcher himself was the tenuious link that he with Terry to the music industry, Manson had scared the bejesus out of Terry so he had him where he wanted.

I maybe have to re-read the book, but I was a little unclear why the "suicide" (murder) of Filippo Tenerelli was being covered up. I can't re-call the timeline, but would it clearly have put the Family under suspicion before something else was supposed to happen? If the Chaos/Cointelpro angle is to be believed, I think Manson and the Family acted well before whatever was supposed to happen-a much more explosive event?. Maybe it was a violent confrontation with the Black Panthers?. That is, if it's to be believed. I'm not sure what I think about it. I'm interested in what causes people to become this loyal to a seemingly insignificant character. Keith Raniere seems to have gotten this from his DOS group without, as far as I know, drugs being involved.

Ouch, I just read the tweets and an article.. this doesn’t seem made up. Obviously a possibility with public figures, but false accusation is exceedingly rare. The stakes are so high for the victim that they rarely feel it’s worth it to speak up. Understandably.
Her language doesn’t track with the rare bullshit story designed to take people out.
She says she feared she’d be pegged as a political assassin crafted by oppo.
She sounds traumatized, angry, disgusted, and legit.
      Dammit.
Virgil and Chapo need to say something now. And what on earth is BJG doing? Surely this has come up in her sphere; she was a press secretary for Bernie Sanders, she cannot possibly be unaware of this issue.
Now it’s so close to her she could get blasted too. It’s been allowed to fester unaddressed; which is terrible, and also a terrible look.
The Left cannot afford to be acting like this.

It has to do with a video tape that was taken (then soon returned) by LAPD. The content on the tape had nothing to do with the murders. It was allegedly Roman directing Sharon to have sex with 2other men even tho she didn't want to. But they had described it as Roman and Sharon making love.
