  • Depending on the animal’s upbringing, temperament and circumstances, any dog can be a threat although dogs have long been known as human’s best friend. But certain breeds can cause greater harm simply because of their size or the force of their jaws. Based on the behavior and personality here are the top 20 most dangerous dogs in the world.
    1. PITBULL
The Pit Bull is considered to be the most dangerous dog in America. Between 2005 and 2014, 203 Americans were died by a Pit Bull ad 305 people were seriously injured after a mauling. These dogs were originally bred to baiting bulls and protecting hunters from bear. These dogs are incredibly muscular. Most Pit Bulls don’t have an ounce of fat on them. They are pure muscle.
    2. AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER
It is listed as one of the most dangerous dog breeds in the world, because it is quicker to anger and bite than most other breeds. As a result of this danger factor, the breed is banned in several areas of the world. If puppies do not get this vital socialization during this short period, they can become fearful, reactive, and sometimes aggressively stimulated to attack. It is the main reason for aggression to children and adults.
    3. BOERBOEL
They are very large and also the most dangerous dogs. Their heads can sometimes be twice the size of ours. In fact, this dog breed was bred to keep lions and hyenas from picking of their owners' sheep and cattle, which should tell you something about their strength and fierceness. The Boerboel tends to be a very passive dog in general, but once settled in with their family they don’t take kindly to anyone they don’t know entering their property.
    4. THE DOBERMAN PINSCHER
If you have seen any movies about the mob or really rich, really mean people, you have seen a Doberman pinscher. These dogs are often the guard dogs in the movie, who are willing to attack intruders on command. They are famous for being the most intelligent dog in the world, extremely loyal, and very alert.
    5. ROTTWEILER
This one of the biggest dog in the world can weigh up to 130 pounds and most are pure muscle. This dog is considered to be very dangerous, because he has a genetic predisposition to guard and herd. Not all of these dogs are savage beasts.
    6. FILA BRASILERO
Weighing up to 75 kg Fila brasilero was bred as a hunting dog trained to restrain but not take live of its prey. It is often said that they are the most aggressive dog breeds towards strangers if not correctly trained. Given the name Ojeriza, this behavior may be desired by some owners but can make this a particularly dangerous dog breeds in the world.
    7. THE BULL MASTIFF
They are one of the best world dog which is very large and muscular. He can weigh up to 130 pounds and he can grow as tall as 27 inches. Unless these dogs are well trained and well behaved, they can become dengerous. Poorly trained dogs can become very unpredictable.
    8. GERMAN SHEPHERD
Most of these dogs are friendly. They are smart, vigilant, alert, fearless and one of the strongest dogs in the world. Because of these excellent qualities, these dogs are often used in police K-9 units. While these dogs make great family pets, they need to be properly socialized and trained from an early age.
    9. CANE CORSO
This biggest dog in the world is a descendent of the dogs Roman soldiers used in wars. It has a sleek muscular body weighing up to 110 lbs. The business end of the Cane corso is its large, intimidating head with powerful jaws. One look would tell most people that this is a dog that could inflict a good deal of damage.
    10. TOSA INU
This is the most dangerous dog breeds as it is known to be a fighting dog. It is also a very rare breed. Because this dog is so dangerous, it has been banned in several countries including the UK, New Zealand, Denmark, Norway, Hong Kong, Australia, and many others.
    11. GULL DOG
The Gull Dog originates from Pakistan, and it's one of the rarest dog breeds. We don't see many Gull Dog dogs in the west. Given their size and strength, and the fact that they are considered one of the most dangerous dog breeds.
    12. RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK
It is also known as African Lion Hounds. However, they are still considered as one of the most dangerous dogs due to their aggressive nature and strong sense of prey drive. The Rhodesian ridgeback is a large dog who was built for strength and speed in particular.
    13. SAINT BERNARD
It is last on the list, but surely will be surprising for anyone who has seen “Beethoven” movies. Unfortunately, these large dogs with their passive temperaments are not easy to train, which eventually has put them on the list of the most dangerous dogs in the world.

Chow's tend to cling the most to one person as the alpha in the house. I had this one chow named Rabbit ears, he would attack, kill and eat medium and small dogs 🐕 he would bring em and hide them in a part of the basement we couldn't get to and eat them until it was nothing but fur you would see, very disgusting and disturbing. Any animal can be made mean by starving and abusing them but normally Pitbulls are very sweet in nature! They can easily train and can be the most protective animals around. I’ve raised Pitbulls, Chow Chow, Chihuahuas, Siberian Husky’s, Simonides, Siamese cats, Mainecoon cats, Parakeets, Lovebirds, etc. A lot of them were raised together! It’s the way you raise them! I hate to see a sweet animal put in the ring to fight. That’s why Pits have that reputation from abusive owners that have made them that way. It’s the owners that should be put to sleep!

I see that the content creator took the time to pick on the breeds that are often inbred, abused, and neglected/misunderstood. The fact is that while these guard dog breeds can have bad traits/temperments, it's usually the owners who are to blame for poor training or bad bloodlines or even failure to do the research on how to raise a specific breed. But let's not put the blame where it truly belongs.

My sweet boy that passed away a few months ago was a combo of Am. Staff and Cane Corso. Beautiful boy, strong and powerful, ridiculously smart. And the toughest thing I've ever seen on 4 legs. He was easy to train but was always looking to push buttons. Best pup to me. We were always busy, always working on commands and manners. He was highly protective of my children and of me. But not a dog combo I recommend to anyone and everyone. He took a lot of time, patients, a strong hand (I literally started weight training to have enough upper body strength to control him as he grew) and you couldn't give him an inch cause he would take it and run with it. He was extremely active. The recommended 1 hour of exercise a day crap from the vet did not work for him. I spent most of the day outside with him didn't matter the weather to keep him busy and keep him happy. But I didn't didn't expect his combo breeds to be on this list or well many of the other breeds either. Like wow. Learn something new every day I guess.

No matter how much socializing and training a dog gets, some breeds are bred for protection and to guard. You can't take out what is bred into them. I own Cane Corso's and a Rottweiler. They love everyone when I'm home but I pity anyone that breaks into my house.

@@jeanettedegiulio8220 I completely agree, every breed is originally bred for a purpose. Could be from guardian/protection, hunting/herding to show/sport breeds, every dog has a purpose and that will always be in that breed. That is why we love the breeds that we love. I have 4 large dogs and the boerboel is my largest, just under 190lbs. All my dogs have been trained extensively, but like yours mine are fine with people while I am around or while someone they know is around but if a stranger walked into my house I actually don’t feel sorry for them, that’s why I have my dogs. That’s why I have large guardian/protection breed dogs.

Couldn't have Said it better myself... It's also about who has them to and how they're raised and brought up... And for the record only two or three percent of pit bulls were bred for fighting the whole breed wasn't bread for that one and only purpose... And just because a dog carry the word Pitbull or some other name doesn't give the government the right to put it down and wipe them all out especially when they have got nothing on that one dog Pacific dog and just because an innocent dog shares a certain name doesn't give them the right to destroy it all because it shares a name of any one breed nothing more... Some people will bring up the percentage of how many people get killed by some of these animals or attacked by them I say to people like this how about all the animals that get killed and murdered and tortured without Mercy by people all because we're not interested in putting the effort into doing it properly or the money needed into it we just make pathetic excuses for not doing it animals are victims to... But it's funny when you see no one bring that up into light... And why does there always have to be a reason for something to exist for any one reason or purpose... That doesn't give us the right to wipe them out just for the sake of wiping them out in the world because some people want to send misleading information out there about a few breeds in particular it is not right at all period just because I have a few issues with a handful of animals in that particular breed and they don't always look at the reasons for that on why it happened in the first place people like to just blame me animal all the time rather than take responsibility by there end of it I bet you most of those cases are due to people being at fault... people would like to think that we own this world that is where we are so wrong we don't own this world we just share it with every other creature and animal in this world... And went animals come into conflict with people most / alot of the time people they usually always try and blame the animals when it is the people that are at fault alot of the time that have caused those problems and issues to begin with... People need to stop making excuses for not looking at the bigger picture and the facts and not looking at the truth of how things actually are... I will give everyone an example if people keep taking their cows and goats into / on lands where there are lions tigers leopards and cheetahs and so on and other predators and a few of these animals are killed to eat and feed their families the people choose to bring cows and goat's and livestock into these areas especially when they choose to do it during hard times like droughts or pray numbers are down then what do the expect the poor animal to do people have some common sense animals have to live and eat to it's not personal they have their families they have to feed as well... unlike them we can go to the shops and buy stuff like that or breed stuff like this... I understand people need to make a living as well I get that and I accept that and understand it they have to feed their families to but come on people have some common sense... But if people keep kicking animals off their lands and destroying there habitats that they need to live on and they keep on interfering with and destroy then people are going to keep coming into contact with animals it's as simple as that until people stop destroying animal habitats and their prey and not leaving enough room to grow in and then people have the nerve and they don't have the common sense to understand if they parade there animals in front of predators especially in hard times when these animals are hungry or starving whether it's through drought or there's not enough grass or pray animals to go around and you keep animals that are prey out of those areas because you want your animals to feed their instead of the native species and animals in the area then what do you expect... if you are going to be that stupid enough to do that then you deserve that which is coming to you which means you'll lose some of your livestock to these predators unfortunately... Their prey also needs somewhere to eat too and sometimes cows and more aggressive then some natural and native species are and are more territorial in the area and you can't forget some of these animals have to travel and migrate huge differences just to get to this grassland so that they can feed on to survive and they're predators know this and are also waiting for this to happen the predators have to follow the prey to survive because if they don't they will die out it's that simple... I have tried to explain it in the most simplest way I could possibly people need to stop being so greedy and I need to start looking at the facts and stop making excuses for not making it happen... I am just stating the facts nothing more I do apologise if I have missed spell anything I am not the best speller so I apologize if this is the case....

Our 9 month old, Ginger, is a Rottweiler / American Staffordshire Terrier mix and she's without a doubt the sweetest dog I've ever owned. She's played nicely with every dog she's ever interacted with, loves our 8 year old 20 pound cat, and absolutely adores our 3 boys, who are 8, 8 and 10. I feel terrible for her sometimes when she's meeting a new person and their dog, and everyone is getting along fabulously, until the other dog's owner asks what kind of dog she is. When I say she's a Rottie mix, at least half of the time the owner immediately makes up some excuse to leave. My poor little girl doesn't understand why people are afraid of her! 😥

I actually had two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The younger sister , Luna, of the two(by half a year), started to evelope an aggressive behaviour towards her older sister, Lana. Luna was never aggressive to humans, they both loved baby's and little kids and always when they saw a child's car they wanted to run over there. We had to sell Luna shortly after she bit Lana in the side while playing, and creating a five centimeter large wound. The worst is, that instead of stopping at that she tried to take another bite After that she got increasingly aggressive towards Lana and started to ignore a few commands.
We couldn't risk it, because I have a three year old brother so we couldn't keep her.
Maybe it's because she tasted blood and that awakened some primal instinct in her. Lana never did anything to her other than an occasional bark that tells her to behave, but after that incident you could actually see how they grew apart. It was heartbreaking and I cried but now she is in good care.
Edit: We actually suspect that she turned out that way because my ex mother took her too early from her mother. Had she just waited a little longer instead of taking her away immediately with her sister, maybe we wouldn't have had that incident.

I’ve been delivering all breeds of dogs nation wide for years. Dogo’s, Mastiff’s, Pits, Dobermans, etc. I’ve never caged any of these dogs. Some were guard dogs and aggressive at first but I know how to let a dog know I’m the Alfa and not a threat. Most dogs that are bitters are trained that way, not the dogs fault. Bad owners or owning the wrong breed is peoples fault. People adopted dogs during pandemic and now no longer want them. I’ll never fault a dog for peoples stupidity.

LOL, 2 days ago (while in Dallas) I was walking to my car when I man showed up with 4 Pittbulls, they all pulled him towards me (as I welcomed them all) we began to play so much that one had to be carried away since she/Pitt refused to part with me. So I explained why they were so drawn to me and seen what the average person couldn't. He then asked if I was interested in Ownership of a dog, but my job was the main henderance. Besides, our last dog (displayed on my screen shot which belonged to my daughter who went away to College and left me all the responsibilities) eventually became a senior pet who inevitably had to be put down while lying being comforted on my lap. I can't describe how I cried and missed seeing her dominate the fenced back yard... She was part of our family and has remained in my memory/heart over 10 years now!!! So, never again had I even considered another pet to become emotionally attached too... Although I may invest in a couple of guard dogs provided I'm married (so my husband can manage them) on acreages of land for both them and us to openly enjoy.

Sooner or later they can and will most likely attack an innocent bystander or another pet.canines strive to be the pack leader, and will only be compliant until they choose to be the Alpa .
