Incredible and painstaking work. Credit where credit is due!! 👍
Thank you very much
Nice work bro, thank and I enjoyed watching you work
Ty i will hopefully be able to jump back into this build soon just need to wait for some money to free up
That is impressive. I done this before and that's a complex dash. Turned out great!
Ty took 2 attempts and a lot of patience
Looks like new. Nice job!
Ty you im definitely proud of it alot of work to get it that far
Absolutely excellent work! That glue must be fantastic!
It is what the professionals use n ty was alot of work
Awesome job NovaTazz!
Thank you i agree turned out way better than i could have hoped
Hey man thanks for the mention the other day! i appreciate it
It seems like a 3 inch metal roller would help level the vinyl out as you're going along.
It might idk, but all the professionals i watched before attempting this did it in a similar way as i tried it, so i figured it was the most likely way to succeed even with that in mind i still failed once
And thank you for your idea 💡 and view
@@NOVAtazz I bought that same dash out of a 1975 Trans Am, back in 1978/79 for my 71 Firebird project.
This is the original dash for this car i do believe there are slight differences in the ashtray/ radio area between the earlyer n later second gen dashes
@@NOVAtazz That is the best job on a dash re cover that I have seen so far. They make a plastic dash cover that fits over the old dash for the second gen like yours, but I have no idea how good it works.
Awesome job there, and all the tools of the trade used. Did the contact cement get the five star rating in your mind?
I feel the other one i mentioned in tbe second one would have been a tuffer hold but it did well enough
Does this process also work for the 78 T/A?
This will work for any formed dash i believe. But definitely any second gen firebird dash other than some slight differences with the radio opening and ashtray they were the same
Ever try a dash from 70-74 Mopar E body?
That was my first time doing one
Here's a place that vacuum forms then like new again: ruclips.net/video/h6eTYVpLODw/видео.html
Thank You Im appreciative of the info im already well aware of SGG (been a follower of his biz for well over 10 years) and the refurb dashes he sells and the gentlemen that does them for him excellent work from both but im not rich and have found that most times the only way for me to do things the way i want on a budget i can afford is for me to do it on my own. Kinda the theme of this channel is diy. besides kinda boring just watching me buy new parts and installing them. I enjoy the challange of tackling the restoration on my own again thany you for the info and watching hope to see more from you in the comments on future videos
