My fav bit is: Ben: “so, we meet again!” Simon: “you don’t zay zat I zay zat!” Ben just has so much sass and angry Simon is hilarious. I’m loving the accents too aha
"There are two sings you vill never do. One, you vill never vin the var. Two, you vill never get your hands on my KEYS." "They have von the var! Ve have surrendered! Every man for himself!!" *British guy smiles* "Riiight, so this key is for the front door..."
I'm so glad Brits have this sense of humour XD There's people saying Axis Powers Hetalia makes WW2 a joke, but what it does, just like Horrible Histories, is emphasize the weird facts you don't learn in school. It's series like these that make me enjoy history.
'So, we met again?' 'Don't say that, I say that!' 'Ahh, I see you like my keys? Well there are 2 things that will never happen. One, you will never win this war. 2, you will never have my keys.' -runs in- 'They have won the war, we have surrender, every man for himself!' -runs out- 'Right this one is for the front, this one is for the back, bit sticky you have to wiggle it...' LOL My fav bits
'Zere are two zings in zis vorld zat vill never happen, vun, you vill vin ze Var, and two, you vill never get your hands on my keys...' 'Ve have surrendered! Every man for himself!' If there was ever an 'oh rats' moment, that was it. Killed myself laughing at this xD
This has to be my favorite clip XD "Where did he go! He did it again! send 100 men to find .... cancel that" XD If i was a POW I'd try so hard to be like that :P
I like The Commandant was willing to follow the Geneva Convention by not shooting Higgins, even though the Nazis basically broke every other War Crime in the book.
Yes, I have read about their war time production capabilty and it was simply amazing. War time industry was very efficient and so was U.S.A was very resourcefull and supplied Britian with much needed weapons.
My favourite part is when he runs away then the other guy says “ send 100 guards to,cancel that”but it sounds like “ send 100 guards to, cancel dat”hehe😂
Hahaha...this is good. I just discovered the Horrible Histories books last week and had to order a few right away, so damn funny. Love the Ruthless Romans. I have never seen them here in Germany before. Cool stuff ...and I can use them for my teaching. Zis is grrreat.
" im afraid there are two things in this world that will never happen one you will never win this war and two you will never get my keys " ( guy comes in ) " they have won the war we have surrendered every man for himself" (guy gives soldier keys)
@theGummaster 1. He's squadron leader higgins. That means he's a pilot, and they were mainly used in ww2. also, pilots in ww2 were the most commonly captured troop, whereas in ww1, the pilot would usually die from the crash (no parachute)
'we meet again' 'no...i just like ze vay i sound when i say zet anyway the new series is so funny; the sparten high school musical, the viking rock group and the king charles the second rap.
The singular term Geneva Convention refers to the agreements of 1949, negotiated in the aftermath of World War II. The first Geneva Convention was established in 1864 BUT only 12 Nations signed it.. Switzerland, Baden, Belgium, Denmark, France, Hesse, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Prussia, Spain, and Wurtemburg. The German State of WW2 technically never signed it and thus were not legally under its restrictions.
The officer's smug look when he's informed the Americans have won the war makes me all tingly. Man, this series is a good way of passing the time when you're sick.
That was an odd comeback. It was from the above which I would say was level 4 to yours a level 10. Something I would do, just I probably would be age appropriate (12 years old)
German Officer: So sqadrand leader, we meet again. Englishman: Have we met before? German Officer: No I just like sayin it. This is beautiful comedy it really really is! :) Englishman: So we meet again. German Officer: Don't say that! I say that!
It's called the geneva CONVENTION for a reason, it establishes what is conventional, most signing it is enough that there is expectation that all should follow it.
They're not trying to make fun of it- they're just trying to get younger kids to learn facts about history. And kids don't want to listen to all the gory details.
I love the little details at the end. "This one sticks. You may need to jiggle it a bit."
This show is addictive.
My fav bit is:
Ben: “so, we meet again!”
Simon: “you don’t zay zat I zay zat!”
Ben just has so much sass and angry Simon is hilarious.
I’m loving the accents too aha
That plan is brilliant in its simplicity. I love Squadron Leader Higgins-he looks so darn pleased with himself!
Ben willbond: the perfect british officer- witty, intelligent and extreeeeeemly handsome!
I like how Mat just stands there and then just runs out at the end!
I LOVE the way he says "Yes, I forgot about zat..." and "Right..." at the end XD
"Because the Geneva convention means you can't shoot officers."
"Ah, yes. I forgot about zat."
LMAO!
20 British officers were shot for escaping from Stalag Luft III.
RIP to all the executed escapees.
@@carlbirtles4518to be fair it was done by the ss who weren’t really a fan of stuff like human rights

I always imitate Farnaby's German quotes in this! My parents look at me with this funny look each time! X D

Kind of like 'Ghosts’:
Commandant - Julian Fawcett MP
Higgins - Captain James
probably because they are the actors for captain and julian
@@ab-ct4ju Because the commandant is an idiot like Julian and Higgins is a good tactician like The Captain.
German officer: So we meet again...
Squadron Leader Higggins: Have me met before?
German officer: No but I like the sound of my voice when I say that
I love the little rat that pops in with the "TRUE" signs XD
Higgins: So... we meet again!
German Officer: Don't say that! I say that!

Ben's so cheeky in this ^.^ aw
You'd think that Kommondant Klimsmann would at least shut the door after the first escape attempt

" im afraid there are two things in this world that will never happen one you will never win this war and two you will never get my keys "
( guy comes in )
" they have won the war we have surrendered every man for himself" (guy gives soldier keys)
he's like a weeping angel. a really handsome one that won't kill you
"He's done it again! Send 100 troops to find squadron leader.... Cancel zat"
"Send 300 soldiers to find squadron lead..."
Commandant: "I'm in charge here!"

These horrible histories are actually suprisingly very funny. I think they should put it on a bit later so adults can enjoy it too.
The officer's smug look when he's informed the Americans have won the war makes me all tingly.
Man, this series is a good way of passing the time when you're sick.
When he made the two with his fingers, it was the V for Victory sign XD
just 2 words,
SOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!
lol one of the best clips
Can't wait till the new series on monday
i love this show!
The show is funny! I LOVE IT!!!

@jorcastify
It's not a suspender. It's a holster for his pistol. He only has one.
@demonella Actually, that's Armstrong and Miller. Mitchell and Webb did a sketch where they are Germans.
Send 300 soldiers to find squadron leader... "CANCEL THAT!!!"
LOL
I'll be honest, Matt makes a suprisingly adorable nazi..
What do you mean? Did they say it in a behind the scenes thing or something?
Hahaha :), that's hilarious, how did you discover it?! :)
Someone posted a comment that told me about it, during one of the "HHTV NEWS" Sketches
turn on the caption and you'll end up in heaven!

"this key is for the front door. And this key is for the back...
Imagine what he said on that speaker actually happend in the sketch- a whole waste of troops it only took one man to find him
Very funny and much rich opportunity for study History.
@willoughbyandalexis I don't know but I'm sure wiki or imdb has the answer
i like that little rat that appears when he mentions that you can't execute officers
Squandron Leader Higgins reminds me of Westley from the Princess Bride!

***** He's talking about the second Geneva Convention in 1929. You are talking about the Geneva Convention of 1929
Whoops, typed that wrong... I meant she's talking about the on in 1949
Did anyone spot Simon Farnaby in Burke and Hare? xx
@DasNutellamaedchen Lol no worries. You'll know them all soon now you're undoubtedly hooked!

Yeah you're getting it.
did you hear what happened to Italy's dictor
We are putting gards here, here , here! where did he go?
I have eyes in the back of my head! where did he go?
Man, the show is WAY less dark and gloomy (not that thats necessarily a bad thing. The books are still pretty funny.) than the books.
I have placed additional guards here! Here! And Here! Making escape virtuually impossible! Vere did he go?
@jorcastify
well, u can hardly expect them to stay neat, wen they r trapped in a war prison. also it adds to the effect, brave and hard war hero ;)
