I would love to see a collection of Disney princesses with outfits and hairstyles inspired of fashion from when their movies was released. Like a real 1950's dress for Cinderella, more of a mod look for Aurora, Ariel in a late 1980's outfit, and so on. With the outfits still being inspired by their normal looks as well. Not to mention I would love a collectors version of Cinderella were her dress is looking like in the movie instead of blue.
Mattel was at its best in the 1990s....the quality back then was amazing and they did such a good job at making the Disney Princesses etc look like they just stepped out of the movie. Such a shame it went down hill when we got to 2000 onwards.
"Her cowl is so stiff and yucky"... you missed it, go look at the original animation. It's a stand up collar. Disney is the only one that got it right, its not supposed to lie flat. In fact, if you look at the pictures, it is fairly large and stands up quite straight. Love the review, especially the close up of all three dolls together.
I feel the 90's Mattel Cinderella had one of the best face molds for Cinderella. She was the one that had the ball gown that could transform into a wedding dress. She wasn't over the top, and wasn't Barbiesque.
I worked at Toys R Us for years, including the year the Hasbro Disney Princess dolls first came out. Trust me, that Hasbro Snow White's face is way better than their original Snow White face. But, the Disney Store is the best. I love Snow White products (as in the princess, not the Dwarfs), so I have an older Disney Store doll of her. Very beautiful.
The Tinkerbell in Peter Pan was tossed aside in favor of Wendy unless Peter needed pixie dust. She was basically used as a pixie dust shaker when they wanted to fly and then forgotten. She was causing mischief in an effort to remind Peter she existed beyond giving him pixie dust. But she's a bad guy because she didn't just sit by and be okay with being thrown aside for someone else.
Princesses from Disney Store are the best. They are so pretty. I wish they kept Aurora's previous face though. I guess they are going for a more cartoonish look now
I found an Etsy shop that sells a lot of old princess dolls (I think they’re mostly Mattel collectible dolls I’m not sure) and they look amazing if not a little Barbie-ish. Like Disney store obviously cares about their dolls looking correct but back in the day mattel cared about the quality of the fashion in a major way.
11:30 This Aurora looks derpy... And I finally figured out why: the dots on her eyes don’t match. Makes it look like one eye is looking in a different direction.
Here's a protip, you can wash out the product of the disneystore dolls with water, just don't brush or tug out the hair curls because the hair on those dolls aren't the best.
I laughed so hard when you were having the Snow White dolls side by side and said “this is the real one, and those two are bad cosplays” like that’s so funny
I love snow whites face in the disney store. I am a fan of how each of them get interpretated out. Even if they are not on point completely to the animation face. My opinion for the flat feet issue. I could see low heel feet shape, be a perfect medium. Because it could easily be styled into flats or heels.
The neverland beast made me cry too, but its still one of my favs. the first time i watched it i was soooo sad and so like....what the heck lol? im supposed to leave these movies with a smile not tears
I absolutely love your videos. I'm autistic and have loved dolls my entire life and am often ridiculed for liking dolls as an adult. Thanks for making it feel so normal! Much love from Ireland
Was designer for years on Disney Princess at Mattel and The thing is that Disney does overlays and approves of each version throughout the whole process. So it is interesting how different they are.
I think the problem with the Hasbro Snow White is the length of her face. They gave her a long oval face but Snow White has a fairly small round face in the movie.
Happy Mother's Day My World! Thanks for sharing this fun video. I still think that Hasbro's primary princess line is horrible because of the molded on tops (the sole exception being the one Ariel water toy my walmart had), but I must give them this: The Comfy Princess line is pretty well done. Disney Store still does the best of the three companies though, especially when it comes to the face molds and altered packaging. Have a great day and please take care whilst being the awesome lady you are!
Because of your video about the new boxed Disney princesses I went and bought the Ariel one and I absolutely love her 🥰 the box is really cute too and I’m happy they did that. When I was 6 I would play with my Ariel doll every night in my bed before sleeping and I remember one night one of her arms snapped off and I was absolutely devastated. Sadly my mom made me throw her away and didn’t let me get a new one. I really wish I still had her! This new doll feels very nostalgic to me though because she the same snap knees lol
Anyone remember the mommy and Gracie show I miss it it was so funny and cool I wonder if gracie will ever come back on the show as a surprise or something..
Gracie is now Kaden (not sure on the spelling) and Melissa has said that he doesn't want to be on camera so I don't think he'll make a suprise visit for a while
When you think about how accurately sculpted some disney character statuettes are, it's weird how none of these dolls looks the way they do in the movies. Disney tends to alter their appearances to make the older princesses look more appealing to modern kids and make them look cohesive together or whatever, but I feel like these dolls never look right.
I bought my neice the Tinkerbell doll in the princess range way back in the late eighties early nineties, she did look like her character from Peter Pan
The disney store look like the actual park princess the hasbro looks like a chid dressed in cheap costume the matel looks like a knock off halloween party store cosplay. If i were to buy these for my daughters i would chose the disney store over all. My eldest daughter has a disney princess room with the toddler dolls. I chose them cuz they were cute and they were a larger doll for her to play with.
I guess I fight against majority! I like the cartooniness that has more brought to the Disney princesses. Specifically, I am in love with a Wreck-It Ralph AKA Ralph breaks the internet versions of the Disney princesses. Not the teeny tiny versions the actual full size fashion versions, The originals that have all the articulation. During the pandemic, I ordered all of the two packs and I look at them and I go that was probably their finest princesses!
I have to agree about the Hasbro design. They did try and it's a better improvement than Mattel's past snow white's from the 90's. However, I love the Disney store better though. But Hasbro's if they resold it as Wreck it Ralph breaks the internet their version looks more closure to pajama party SnowWhite.
I really don't remember ever having issues with product in the hair with any doll I had as a kid... Was that not a thing in the 90s or did I just forget?
Disney store is definitely the best! We'll they r getting kinda cheaper! :( but hasbro I feel is the worst!! To me mattel is better then hasbro! :D and I HATE FLAT FEET THEY R SO WEIRD AND DUCK LILE! :( but I will say mattel aurora looks odd! :o
I like this comparison video. Wow they really can’t get Cinderella right 😆 also happy to hear someone else praise the Disney Fairies movie. I also love them and I’m so sad they stopped making them 😔
The disney store dolls may be the most accurate but the mattel* ones got charm imo. and the hasbro dolls are just straight up awful, like truly a hate crime if u ask me, even the higher price point ones *Well except the aurora doll. They did her so wrong
Just sitting down to say on youtube. (Spent the day between mother-in-law and my mom 😊) Its a bit late but Happy Mother's Day. Hope you had a wonderful day. Thanks for posting!! Its kind of cool seeing the different molds for the same character by different companies positioned together.
I have never customized a doll in my life, but I'm looking at my My Scene clothes trying to find a way to make her into Nomi! Showgirls is a guilty pleasure. I can no longer pronounce Versace properly...I have to say it Nomi's way!!
@@MyWorldMelissa Yes!! Guily pleasure forever! Now you got me wanting to make my own Nomi!! Thanks for the reply! I must say, I've been enjoying your videos! You are a unique and obviously cool and kind person. I appreciate how you show your true self! Its refreshing.. ✌❤🌈
First of all happy mothers day❤ and second I have a request from collector to collector would you maybe be able to do a comparison of the rapunzel dolls I personally love rapunzel and specifically collect those dolls but she always seems to have weird fave molds and I wanna see if theres a difference between quality and face mold so I can make my collection even beter❤
I don't know how to say this, but I feel like many of these comparisoms are biased against Mattel. They produced some beautiful Disney dolls during the long time they made Disney dolls since the early 90s. Does anybody remember their AMAZING Disney princesses from the 90's? Has anybody seen their Aurora and Cinderella dolls? My favorite Aurora ever was produced by Mattel. Also the example was odd, the snow white face shown is not a basic Barbie facesculp, and looks closer to the Disney Store one shown than the Hasbro one. Also are we ignoring the giant head and tiny shoulders on the Hasbro dolls? I for one am excited that Mattel will make these dolls again. Of course Disney Store are the best right now!
13:59 mulan on the left looks like shes a contestant in rupauls drag race for a disney princess themed challenge and she got in the bottom 2 because of how terrible her look is lol
Thank God I thought I was only who hated the flat feet. If I couldn't get the Disney Store Dolls I would rather have the Mattel dolls. As the Hasbro Dolls still look ugly to me after 5 years of having the license. Personally my favorite of the new Disney Store Princess Dolls is Ariel also she doesn't have flat feet which is a bonus.
My only question is: do the Disney fashion packs fit the Ralph Breaks the Internet Princess dolls? I went through the trouble of collecting them and would like to dress them in their original movie dresses/outfits.
It's not that Tinker Bell in "Peter Pan" wasn't a good guy. J.M. Barrie described Tinker Bell as being so small she could only handle one emotion at a time. Walt Disney understood that, and if Tink was jealous, she couldn't think straight and she would try to harm Wendy. Modern Tinker Bell is completely the wrong character. Disney could have easily just made up their own Fairies movie thing without taking Tinker Bell and changing her. This is the reason I can't stand Tinker Bell: when Disney changed her character. I prefer the source material since that's clever. It's creative to describe pixies as being so small they can only have one emotion at a time. ETA: I love that your Mattel Cinderella is missing a shoe. Perfect for the character.
True. But i guess because tinker bell was the main character in her movies she had to be more dynamic, it would be boring to have a main character who could only feel one emotion at a time.
I really dont like the hasbro dolls, their heads are way tooo big for the rest of the body. If i want a Disney princess doll i now always go for the disney store dolls which are way nicer to look at...
The worst injustice is that Cinderella's glass SLIPPER has flat feet even though the whole movie is about her shoes!
Honestly ..the accessories and gowns Mattel designed for holidays ugh I love it
Early 90s Disney dolls were amazing Quality
I would love to see a collection of Disney princesses with outfits and hairstyles inspired of fashion from when their movies was released. The premiere series of limited edition Disney dolls is kinda like what you describe here.
@@rachelbonomo5027 Cool, I have to look those up. :)
You're in luck! You just described an extremely rare line of Disney Princess dolls. They're super hard to find but they're out there.
Mattel was at its best in the 1990s....the quality back then was amazing and they did such a good job at making the Disney Princesses etc look like they just stepped out of the movie. Such a shame it went down hill when we got to 2000 onwards.

Happy Mother’s Day to our favourite internet mom. The tinkle bell movies slap, whenever I need a good cry I watch tinker bell and the never beast

But, the Disney Store is the best. I love Snow White products (as in the princess, not the Dwarfs), so I have an older Disney Store doll of her. Very beautiful.
The original Snow White from hasbro had such an awkwardly long face
I desperately want them to make more fairy dolls. Silvermist, Vidia (my fav), Rani (also my fav, from the pixie hollow books), Fawn
I need my GIRLLLS
The Tinkerbell in Peter Pan was tossed aside in favor of Wendy unless Peter needed pixie dust. She was basically used as a pixie dust shaker when they wanted to fly and then forgotten. Can u plzzz do a comparison with the disney store frozen 1 Elsa and Anna and mattel elsa and anna! Plz???!
That long eyelashed Cinderella looks like Joan Rivers when she had the talk show in the late 80's
Can you compare even the "simba toys" princesse? Some of them will surprise you especially snow white
Princesses from Disney Store are the best. They are so pretty. I wish they kept Aurora's previous face though. I guess they are going for a more cartoonish look now

I think the Mattel faces look the best.
Disney Snow White, Mattel Aurora, Hasbro Cinderella for me.
4:15 Snow Who? I'm seeing more Javotte (from Cinderella) than Snow White when I'm watching this doll! X'D
I love this type of video. I would agree that Disney are the best mainly but that sometimes even they miss the mark. Can't wait for the next one.
Omg I love your background! Look at all those dolls! 😍
Mattel did them so much better and movie accurate.
Was designer for years on Disney Princess at Mattel and The thing is that Disney does overlays and approves of each version throughout the whole process. So it is interesting how different they are.
The Disney Store Cinderella looks like Kristen Wiig as Cinderella in that SNL sketch. lol
I think the problem with the Hasbro Snow White is the length of her face. They gave her a long oval face but Snow White has a fairly small round face in the movie.
I wanted to add that I don't think anyone's quite captured Aurora's face proper! For some reason she always gets the shaft.
Omg why does the Disney aurora look like Ashley Tisdale!?
Happy Mother's Day My World! Thanks for sharing this fun video.
