      And thank you for writing such a great piece! This piece is legendary at my high school, and I’m sure it’s legendary at several other high schools across the country!

    Heard this for the first time a few days and all I could think was,
    “This sounds like Donkey Kong music”

      The guest conductor for my district’s honor band is Dr. Arnold and it didn’t occur to me until now that he conducted my favorite performance of this piece! He’s as fun in rehearsal :)

    From a trumpet perspective it sounds alot better from a different angle 😊

    they were good but when that melody came up for the trumpets the first time, i hated how they used the mufflers...like why, they're suppost to be loud :(

      Musical decision. Also there mutes

    • @trumpetplayer3002

      They are mutes. It's hard to play loud in a mute with the whole band playing.

      @@trumpetplayer3002 I'm saying it's stupid to have the mutes because it just runs their tone and sounds awful

      @@joshuarogers6229 well that song was very woodwind-y spotlighted, they gotta tone down the trumpets I guess 🤷‍♂️

    Someone tell me why my band is playing it at like 1.25x speed 😭

    • @ethanpederson
      @ethanpederson 4 месяца назад

      This band is just playing it slow.

      @@ethanpedersonsounds like it. The piece is pretty difficult and this is a college band. When I played in my college band, we had 3-4 weeks to learn the pieces of music given to us and then we perform, then the same thing after that performance. Music wasn’t even my major so I had to find time to learn the music. Can’t blame them if they were in a similar situation as the band i was in
