I’ve never seen so much Villa in one place. This is blowing my mind. I just found a couple of cabs but they were tough to locate online. Instagram, making connections etc
Villa Grove never had large production probably because it is hard and did not produce large amounts of chalk. It is over 9000 feet with a narrow mining window. Also an underground stream limits mining.
He kind of covers it in the Veriquoise and Turquosite video. He has a small collection. I think that video would be awesome - would love some stories about Tony Cotner and people who knew him. To cover Damele, you need to see the multicolor, the elite rarity of the multicolor with blue and reds and chartreuse and greens and yellows and brown all in one stone, like examples online or Nevada Gem’s book Jewel of the Southwest. Then we would have to see the lime green faustite and such. Cotner once said that Damele produced every color of the rainbow. That’s been true for the stuff I’ve cut. Anyway, maybe Mike has added more to his collection- he said he’s a fan of the blue (and hey, me too!) Damele is mysterious and takes a special taste. We will see! He could also cover X 15 or whatever that mine is, Colorback, all those other mines. Anyway- peace
