I find that I like the battle scared ones ( more so if they feature blood ) on melee weapons. Since if you think about it, you bludgeon people with melee weapons, so it makes sense that they'd looked banged up quicker then a gun you shoot people with. Even though I sold most of my backpack, I want a Factory new Deadly Dragon Detonator.
The unusual taunt appears to clip thru the ground because it's z-fighting with an overlay. The road is an overlay, and the engine doesn't quite know which to render "on top" -- the road overlay, or the translucent ground portion of the unusual effect. I'm sure you could get a similar clipping effect with other ground overlays. There's commonly dirt and paint patches under health packs on the ground which it also should z-fight with.

It's honestly videos like these that stop me from making the awful decision of doing my own massive unboxing, I haven't done one in a long while but this summer has been tempting due to the new unusual effects, even though I don't care that much for unusual hats anymore. Also with how easy it is to get unusual taunts now it makes me so relieved that I cashed out my inventory a year or so after meet your match, since in doing so I avoided my backpack value crashing from most of the value being in an unusual taunt which became devalued when they increased the drop rate for unusualifiers.
Easiest way to stop yourself from doing a mass unboxing on an update is to just remember that come a month or two's time, nearly every effect on the native case they came from will be in the gutter so you can buy the stuff you want then. Plus even if you get an unusual taunt anything short of Conga/Mannrobics/Kazotsky are nigh worthless. Every taunt he unboxed (in unusualifier form, not going to guess at the effects) is worth less than the FN Strange Secretly Serviced war paint he got (which probably will drop too to be fair, but it'll likely rise after a brief drop in due time due to its popularity). A lot of higher tier traders mass unbox the cases with more desirable hats, like Tough Break for the Patriot's Peak, but I wonder what the objective profit margins for those are. It's obviously gambling, but hedging your bets when the effects are considered phenomenal like HWeen 2021 is a sound option. What stuff gets listed for, and what they actually eventually sell for, are two different things though so finding objective margins is difficult.
@@xoarax9137 I never unbox for profits but it's hard not to feel like I'm throwing money down the drain when you know that most items you get are only worth around 15% of the value you paid, however I think I am somewhat chasing the dragon of that feeling of unboxing an unusual I had for the first time back when I used to play the game religiously in like 2012-2015.
I think it’s more seeing how other people feel about things we like. For instance, I really like steel brushed, and the fact that Uncle Dane likes it is cool.

It sucks to see good TF2 RUclipsrs fall into the trap of opening crates and indirectly normalising gambling for children. I used to open a lot of crates, and it was due to the sea of prominent RUclipsrs which I watched, who all opened crates. Like Ster and Jerma. They made it look fun and innocent - but it's neither of those things. Every time you get something bad, which is practically every time, you feel bad about yourself for wasting your money. And then the thought comes into your mind, that that bad feeling will go away if you got something good; and from there the gambling cycle begins. Opening crates is gambling, and it is dangerous. It's a shame that RUclipsrs like UncleDane have made it seem like opening crates is in its own realm, when in reality its exactly the same as any other form of gambling. UncleDane needs to look at himself, and realise what his gambling actions signal to his fan base and the wider community of TF2. It's crazy that people went crazy about loot boxes in Star Wars Battle Front 2, but TF2 invented them and mainstays in the community don't even bat an eye. I know TF2 is free, but still, any form of gambling in video games is a bad thing.
When you got the Hazard Handler you talked about engie getting another glove. The cute suit also gives engie another glove, but also extends his sleeve so that his whole arm is covered.
