I had a sub stop by once and a neighbor pulled up and saying good luck, I looked at that house and it’s junk! The sub got all upset and shouted at him “ don’t you know who this is?” The guy looked at me and said are you someone famous? I just laughed
This was when I first bought the house
Never been inside a Harbor Freight but they have a following including my brother-in-law’s. Just saw a Sign go up near my house that mentions they’re Opening. 👍
They do have some good stuff, most is cheap china stuff though.
There tap sets are really good and cheap

Larry a bright idea would have been to have a set of plans drawn up first so everybody doing the job would know what height and width walls would be and the over hangs . larry dont be to surprised if a town building inspector drops by and asks to see your building permit and plans because of the fact your building a different roof line and your building new walls in the back both of those need permits if the work is over a certain amount of money . larry the concrete your pouring isnt going to last long before it heves and theres no way your going to enclose those walls they will heve and bulge out because in cold climates you need to be at least 4 ' deep below the frost line . larry 2×6 walls are good and the studs should be 16" on center and insolated your hotwater chimney is really old school because the new tanks today use plastic pipe and get vented out the side of the house . if your going with the old chimney it must meet todays building and fire codes . larry i get your trying to fix your home on a very tight budget . larry that water spigot install a frost free one its worth the investment and saves on frozen pex pipe . larry the best investment honestly would have been a set of drawings of what you wanted built with measurements then any skilled or semi skilled carpenter would do it right the first time saving you money .
Looks good Larry. The only thing I may have done different was have the boys pound some rebar every couple of feet into the ground to keep the frost from heaving and cracking it.
